We had been let down by several plumbers in the middle of Winter - gathering money together to buy alterations or a new system . - -James came promptly and cheerfully that evening - diagnosed the problem - drank a cup of tea - fixed our boiler advised us on future measures and pootled off in good form. We sent the fee off by email - It was a fraction of what we had previously paid to the other herberts to be left with a heating/hot water system that crashed after a week over the Christmas period ! - Anyway - all's been fine since his visit - we both highly recommend James at Heat Hero - Make him a nice cup of tea - He deserves it . I have an old Vaillant that (allegedly) gave up the ghost last October. James was very helpful and we diagnosed the fault(s) through a series of methodical tests and parts replacements. I think we had about five visits in the course of a month and we finally got to a dependable level of boiler service in the end. After our boiler broke down I researched various Gas engineers to repair it. British gas looked very promising but upon closer inspection their service appeared to be structured to rip people off. James was quick to respond, and actually asked details about the boiler and what issues we were experiencing (More than British Gas did). When he arrived he was very polite and professional and fixed the issue in just over half an hour. He charged us £75 and gave us very helpful advice. My boiler was on the blink and finally gave up the ghost. i called a heating engineer round, whom i am told i cannot mention his name. .. (that's a shame). he fiddled and messed around with the boiler, and told me i needed a new boiler, which he could install for me for 2000 pounds.naturally, i said i would think about it, and decided to get a 2nd opinion, heat hero (james) came round, within 10 mins he had diagnosed the fault, he said quite a common fault on my worcester, he went and got the part and fitted it, all in under an hour, and was very reasonable. i got talking to him and he told me that he had left british gas to go out on his own, he was a technical engineer for them, which meant he was overseer for all their engineers, a thoroughly pleasant chap, knew his onions, and was not expensive by any means, happy to give him 5 stars and would happily use him and recommend him again to anyone.
