Hearts for Paws was wonderful to work with. The foster family brought Bernie to our home to see if we were a good fit for him after we submitted our application. It was love at first sight and the foster family took wonderful car of him. We’ve changed his name to Walter and couldn’t be happier. Hearts for Paws followed up to make sure we had fis final shots and neuter completed. We will likely go through them again soon for another buddy for Walter. More...

We adopted our two dogs from HFP over two years ago when they were just getting started. Dani and Sam hand-picked them for us based on the dogs' personalities and ours, and we cannot imagine our lives without them! Since then we have worked with HFP to transport and foster several dogs and puppies for them. These folks have the biggest hearts, and always make the dogs' health, well-being, and best interests their top priorities. I cannot say enough good things about this organization!! More...

Where do I even begin?! My husband and I adopted our first rescue dog through Hearts for Paws two years ago and had a wonderful experience. After loving life with our little fur baby, Leo, we decided he needed a sibling so a year ago we adopted Ava and had the same amazing experience! We seriously couldn’t imagine life without our pups. Sam is awesome and you can tell she truly cares about these dogs. She puts all her time and energy into saving as many as possible, and then some! My husband and I love this rescue so much and all that they do for these deserving pups that we started fostering this year as well. It’s been such a fantastic experience to be able to foster and help get these pups into their forever homes! Sam is always so helpful and supportive through the whole process and quick to answer any questions. I can’t recommend Hearts for Paws enough! I’ve always wanted to try fostering a dog and I’m happy to say I’ve had THE BEST experience with HFP. If anyone out there is considering becoming a foster, JUST DO IT! I can’t recommend working with Sam enough. We found our foster pup the most awesome family and it was so rewarding to be part of his journey to his forever home! I have been fostering for only a few weeks with Sam and her work would blow your mind. Sometimes I text her super late or 10 times a day to discuss about the best family/best match for a foster dog and she will take the time to answer carefully. She CARES and when she says forever family it is real. She gives good tips to family to guide them through the process and yes, thinks for the dogs first. Trusting her is also ending up with the dog that will truly make your family happy. She has a good network of foster families that are willing to help because we believe in her way to do it where dogs wait in a cozy family for their forever home and not in a cage where their personnality would go down quickly. The foster families know the dogs and can therefor help through the process. We can't say that much about a regular shelter (even though they help; can't denied that!). But yes it also means that you might not walk in and walk out the same day with a pup. But when you do, it is for life. We shouldn't shop for a dog like we shop for a couch. More...
