Hearthstone Counseling

I was encouraged to seek help at Hearthstone by a dear friend in the aftermath of the death of my wife. By the time I made that first call for help, I was a barely functioning 58 year old man with no experience in or willingness to accept personal counseling; in short, I was a skeptic.Over the ensuing months and throughout my period of longer term therapy, my guide, Rachel Lomen, helped me to face and understand many of my fears and depression associated with the cumulative deaths of family and friends throughout my life. And I was helped to find a new direction that now has me on a path to finish my life in peace. My bond with Rachel eventually expanded to include three other therapists (Chris, Jane and Paul) who I did not see professionally but who always greeted me warmly and made me feel welcome and comfortable (as did the office staff).
