What a disaster!! When Joseph stopped by to see why my vacuum wasn't running very strongly and my waterfall had low water pressure I was told after only 10 minutes that I needed a new pump $1900, a new filter (it had been replaced last year), water drained (it had been drained and replaced last year) $800. When I pushed back on the filter he said it needed new sand which would cost $800. In doing my own research you don't replace sand for 5 years and it was only 1 year old. He then turned off my system and said he'd be back the following morning at 9:00 am. He never showed up. I didn't realize he had turned off the pump and within 5 days my pool was a dark algae green with mosquito larvae. I called another pool company who said everything was in good working order except I needed a new valve (this fixed the suction and vacuum), and the waterfall had a crack (which he never even looked at) and so the water was going into the crack instead of over. It cost over $250 in chemicals alone plus labor over 3 days of a pool person coming out, to fix the algae and mosquito infested water he left. All told, to repair what HE damaged cost me $600. Then I paid for the other repairs that were needed in the first place. When I asked Joseph for a refund he told me I WAS THE ONE WHO DAMAGED MY POOL and that the money I gave him was for the service call. The 10 minute service call in which he destroyed my pool by turning everything off and never following up the next morning as promised. You'd be crazy to use this guy!! More...

I found this company on yelp after discovering a leak in the back of my Spa (underneath the waterfall). When I first made contact with Joe (10/23/2020) he responded to my initial contact within 24hrs and came out to my residence within 24hrs. Joe came out to residence to access the waterfall of Spa, which was leaking and needed replacement and repair due to time/wear tear. I paid Joseph for the new waterfall and (labor) to fix the leak. For the entire fix I paid Joe $959. The cost of the new waterfall cost $259 of this cost and the $700 was consider labor. Joe may have been worked on my jacuzzi for two hours before completing the “entire” install and repair. I paid him his price even though the look of the install repair didn't look all that professional. Joe did let me know that his work is warrantied and that I could contact him, if the waterfall leaked again and he would come out and fix it. Well in May (about 6 months after) the same area of Spa start leaking again. I contact Joe in the morning May 3rd with a video of the leak. I didn't hear from Joe by May 4th at 5pm so I sent another text. Joe responded back with swearing (F Bomb) stating he was busy and that he responds to contacts with in 48hrs. I can understand Joe being busy but most service companies I have delt with give a 24hrs response time and or have it listed that they require more time to respond. Healthy Pools and Spa had no response time listed other than on the facebook page, which stated “Typically in a few hours" . Up until this point, Joe had also not responded to two of calls (3rd and 4th) but he was okay to text me his frustration by the night of the 4th. I prefer talking about fixing issues over text, so I gave him a call on on May 5th. I was able to make contact this Joe this time an expressed is frustration (not professional) and told me that he has been working and was too busy to schedule a visit to check out the leak. He told me that he would call me the next Monday to get me on the schedule. Joe never did call and set a time to come back out. I had to contact/pay another company to come out to examine Joes work. The other company took a two second look at the Joes work and called it an "improper install” and also stated that he (Joe) didnt use the right parts to fix the waterfall. The other company let me know that they could tighten what Joe had done (short term fix) but the leak probably would comeback if proper parts were used. I figured I would go for the short term to stop the water from leaking in my yard and give Joe a contact to fix the leak if it retuned. I should have used better judgment on thinking about contact Joe but I did pay him $700 and thought he may have been fair about the issue. By 11/03, another the leak from the waterfall had returned. Me being smarter, sent Joe a text with a video of the leak and included that I could wait 48hrs for a response. By 11/08, I had received zero reply from Joe. I text him wanting a refund for his “warrantied” work. He told me that he was busy and that he would come out following Monday (11/15). At this point, I had no reason to trust or believe what Joe said. I told him again, at this point I would be looking for a refund. He text back “Ah No” and didnt think that he should have to pay back $700 for the “install/repair”. I text him back asking for his “fair refund price” Joe ignored that comment, so I called him. I asked him over the phone to state his fair refund price and told him about the report of there improper install and the use of incorrect parts for the repair. Joe told me again that he would come out Monday to my home. I told him that he was not coming onto my property and then he hung up. There are plenty of reasons not to use Healthy Pools and Spa. The quality work, customer services and communication that I experienced was not acceptable from a professional stand point. I wanted to share my experience so other dont have the same experience. I would recommend using ProTech Spa Service 602-769-1315. Their response time and price have been great. More...

I called Healthy Pools to come out to see way my hot tub is not turning on. Joe came out on time at the time he said he would be there. He explained to me exactly way my hot tub had the error codes and why it wouldn't turn on. Healthy Pools also explained what I should do so I wouldn't be in this situation again. Joe price was at least $300-$400 cheaper than than the other spa companies that came out. Healthy Pools repaired my hot tub that same day which was a blessing. I have recommended Healthy Pools to my co works. I truly trust Joe with any repairs that need to be made. I most definitely would hire Healthy Pools again. More...
