My husband and I decided to do a Couples Massage on October 17th. It was actually a last-minute decision, and I called around to several spas we had either visited or heard about from friends or family, only to find they closed at 6 or 7 PM which didn't work with our schedules because we wanted to go that day after work. I went to Google and searched and kept coming across Hawaii Thai, and was thrilled to see they didn't close until 9 PM. However, I was a bit SKEPTICAL because they had so many 5-star ratings. I was like, "No one gets THAT many rave reviews. They MUST be paying people to go on there and give a GOOD review." Lol! And, I read quite a few of the reviews. I was nervous, at first, because it seemed like most people who went were athletes of sorts and were saying the "deep tissue" massage techniques and stretches made them feel better because this, for us, was supposed to be something RELAXING that FELT GOOD and allowed us to CONNECT and SPEND TIME being PAMPERED...TOGETHER. I wasn't looking for anything "rough". Lol! Well...after having gone and been the recipient of the BEST massage I've EVER received in my life, I see what all the fuss (and 5-star ratings) are about! I am a REAL person with a REAL experience, and my husband and I have already decided we need to go back on a regular basis. It's unlike any other massage, we've ever received. I'm pretty sure (and, I'm going to BUTCHER their names) Pang (my masseuse) and Rinda (my husband's) were acrobats/contortionists in a former life! Lol! I was pretty sure Pang was an octopus until I realized that she was using MORE THAN her hands to massage me! I wanted to go to sleep, but I didn't want to miss a minute of the endorphin-releasin' goodness that was happening to my body! Don't let their size fool you! I can honestly say, good (STRONG) things come in small packages! The stretching techniques they used just made it more of an "experience" and I walked away from the massage feeling 2 inches TALLER! My husband and I laughed all the way home about how GOOD it felt despite some of the movements the ladies did on our bodies! Since we were doing this on the eve of our 22nd wedding anniversary, I kinda wanted it to be a "ritzy" place. But, what it lacks in "aesthetics", it makes up for in the actual MASSAGE - and for the PRICE, it can't be beat!!! My husband shared my sentiment, "Who cares what it LOOKS like...as long as it's clean (and, it was), and the actual massage was good (Oh BOY, was it ever!), we could care LESS." It's not a trashy dump by any stretch of the imagination. It was very clean and serene and felt quite "homely", actually. And once you put your face in the little pillow thingy with the hole in it, you don't see anything but the FLOOR anyway...so, who really cares! Don't discount them based on "looks"...this is classic, "You can't judge a book by its cover." Do yourself a favor and GO and experience the therapeutic hands of these master masseuses! We loved every minute and plan to go back at least once a month...maybe twice. I give them an A++, for sure! I used to have pain shoot through my hip and feet when I first get out of bed in the mornings. Since visiting Hawaii Thai, my hip and feet haven't ached at all! When I got out of bed SLOWLY the following morning, FULLY expecting to feel PAIN and didn't, I told my husband, "Babe...I think I just fell in love with Pang." (cracked him up) They worked MAGIC! What a great massage! I went in without any expectations and left relaxed and happy i picked Hawaii Thai to get a massage. I prefer heavy pressure for my massages, I usually get deep tissue or pressure point massages, and my masseuse did not disappoint! I am so happy I found this place for my husband. My husband enjoys getting massages, and he is very picky. I booked his appointment last minute, and they were able to accommodate to our request. I called on my lunch break at 1:00pm, and they were able to take him at 2:40pm. I just had hands down the best massage of my life with Ms. Emily Sandy. The stretching techniques she used have pretty much rebuilt me to a new person. The pain in my neck and shoulders are gone and I feel like a newborn. I get a massage once a month at various spas and have for many years. In fact I get a massages when I travel to other cities/countries and the experience here is better than any of them. It is a massage like I've never had anywhere else. They will use their feet, knees, elbows and hands with great precision. They don't see you as so many individual parts to work on in rotation, they take a totally different approach. Every time I go I felt like I just had the best massage of my life.
