Poor communication.
. Filthy.
. Guest injury from broken glass from previous event and no apology given.
. Dress damaged by fault in the property and they had no care in the world, just continued smiling at me as I balled my eyes out.
Hadn't even got out of the ready room and wedding day had not even started.
. Poor customer service.
. Rude cleaners.
. Personal belongings and gifts dissappeared.
. Bridal suite filthy, dangerous rugs, no cold water, swealtering due to boiler in room, poor sleep.
. Overpriced wines at £32 a bottle for a £5 bottle of wine.
. No compensation other than giving us bottles of wine that were charged for and not drunk on the day.
. Slogan is 'Exclusively yours' and they showed other people around the venue on our wedding day! Husband went to introduce self only to find out they were complete strangers.
. Overpriced rooms especially when they are filthy and bedding smelling foul.
. Kicked out of room early by cleaners.
. Cleaning occuring throughout the day disturbing speeches etc.
. Ruined first look with father.
. I was inhured by the garland on the stairs as my veil got caught multiple times resulting in whiplash and physiotherapy after the wedding, again no care from the venue.
. Moved personal belongings around wothout permission leading to difficulty finding things and things peft behind.
I could probably just keep going on. Cannot believe how poorly we were treated despite having a historical family connection to the owning property.

We had the best ever wedding on sat 7th September. Michele who is the wedding co-ordinater made the whole wedding extremely special. She was wonderful. Hatfield house has just been changed into a wedding venue and what a wonderful job the owners Ian and Allison have made of it. The rooms in the main house are decorated to the highest standard. You will not believe how beautiful it is.. from the entrance hall, the staircase, to the library , the bedrooms..everywhere you go is opulence .We had the wedding in the main house and after walked to the orangery and surrounding grounds, which are just incredible. Surrounded by countryside and the old wall you are in such beautiful grounds with wonderful flowers , trees. Then you walk into the reception area. What a magnificent space. Plenty of space and everything catered for .the following morning we had a wonderful full English breakfast and walked around the grounds once more. The whole weekend was fantastic , and I wish we could do it all again. Thanks again to Michele for her wonderful personal service.. if you are thinking of places to book , look no further. More...
