What an absolutely brilliant time I had with Laura out in 'the weather' above Wooler , as the snow came down the valley's. Laura's such a relaxed, easy going, chatty, jolly character that I hardly noticed that I was having my photograph taken. Laura's fantastic knowledge, of brilliantly wild locations was an inspiration; literally!! Having photos taken as you work, in my case create a sketching, was an interesting challenge I'm sure. A simply stunning day at The Alnwick Garden!
To start the morning Laura & I had a look at my headpiece “In Celebration of The Alnwick Garden”, then after a quick walk around to find the honey spots to shoot in - there are so many it was difficult to choose, we were off.
On a really cold day, we shot with our beautiful models @LauraScrimshaw, @MegFletcher, whilst @GillFletcher enthusiastically took on the role of prop master and general factotum, and I did the styling. Thanks so much to everyone involved.
Laura has a brilliant photographic eye and worked tirelessly looking for atmospheric shots with great angles for my headpieces, she is an talented, intuitive photographer, who exudes expertise and creativity.
You can see "In Celebration of The Alnwick Garden" in all its glory at @TheGreatHatExhibition at @LondonHatWeek which runs 22/3 - 28/3/18.
