Ipswich,, Suffolk
Established in 2008 Happi Days has come on from strength to strength. We have created more playgrounds, more sofa areas and fenced an area of woodland for your pets enjoyment. After being a dog walker and boarder for so long I (Helen) knew the time was right to communicate with our local council to get a new dog crèche licence written to be unlike a kennel.

Dog Day Care
We are open 07:00 to 18:00 weekdays and 08:00 to 17:00 Saturdays . We provide a secure fun environment for your loved one whilst you cannot be there. Many of our canine clients come for fun, exercise, mental stimulation and socialising.
We provide services for all ages, sizes and breeds. We tailor your dogs day dependant on their nature and energy levels. We make special arrangements for those with sensitive stomachs, the elderly, blind, deaf, very young and shy clients dependant on their needs. Please feel free to discuss any of these with our experienced knowledgeable staff. Having many different groups of dogs and lots of members of staff we can cater for all temperaments.
We can also cater for your dogs all year around with plenty of heated indoor space for play and time to go out before a rub down and a warm up again. We also have plenty of water and shade over the hot summer months and the very best thing is that they can go for a woodland walk in the shade even over the summer months.
Please feel free to come along on one of our Monday viewings at Rendlesham and Wednesday viewings at Martlesham, to look all around the inner workings of our crèche. To see our luxury under floor heated overnight block please book a Rendlesham viewing.
Long and short stay luxury holidays
We have recently built custom designed luxury boarding blocks for any dogs that are in need of longer term accommodation. These holiday dogs are with me and my dogs all day at the crèche and taken home to a private fully heated and insulated room at night. Therefore you know we can cater for all pampered pooches even in the coldest winter times. You are welcome to bring your dogs own bedding and food to keep everything as normal as possible and you can view the photos whilst on holiday to check up on all the fun and games your pal has whilst you are away.
The hotel blocks are situated within a six foot fenced woodland area with under wired rabbit netting and even six foot gates that are locked. This means that even the most excitable dogs can run free for exercise with their friends. All rooms are under floor heated and have Poly floors not concrete. All rooms are fully decorated like your own home and fully furnished with soft bedding. You are welcome to bring along your dogs own bedding too. Both hotels are fully alarmed, and the runs at the back are fenced and roofed, so no chance for an escape. Your dogs will always come to the crèche, a two minute taxi journey, every crèche day. Sundays is the day of play for all holiday dogs in the woodland area with Helen and Chris and the Brown family canines. All runs are closed up at around ten at night with a toilet break in the woods before tucking in for bed at night (unless you prefer your dog to have access out at night). Our Woodland exercise area is lovely and cool on hot days so your dogs can have lots of fun even when the weather is hot. As we have a small capacity for holiday boards but a larger day crèche, you know your dog will get special treatment. Also there will be lots of different people and new dogs every day to meet, so there will be no time for stressing out about where their owners are.
Please note although our day crèche is on the airbase we take them home with us in the evenings. Everything is designed around your dogs needs and safety, no need for gimmicks, just a day full of sniffing, snuffling, playing, running and socialising with friends both canine and human. We provide a comfy, secure, hygienic, private space for relaxing after their day of play.
Grooming
New Qualified groomers Kez and Lisa join our groomer Helena at Happi days to increase our capacity, qualification and experience!

No need to be a member of the crèche to use our grooming facilities but members get discounted prices on the days they are in. With a new groomers and existing groomers getting further qualifications we have plenty of experience and training between us to cater for your Rendlesham Rovers!
Rolled in fox poo and need a bath, that lovely old dog smell, trim eyebrows and feet, summer cut, nails or anal glands. We can cater for sensitive skin with mild shampoos and we have a number of different fragrances to keep your nose buds entertained.
Prices are dependant on your dogs size, coat length, thickness and amount of matting also any extras you wish to add such as nails and anal glands. You may need to bring your dog to meet our groomer prior to their first groom for a quote if you’d like one.
So why not spoil yourselves and your canine best pal with a pamper session at Happi days.
Canine Therapy
Our newest addition to the services at Happi days is our large hydrotherapy pool at Martlesham. We are members of the Canine Hydrotherapy Association.
Great for dogs with needs for non weight bearing exercises, our qualified hydrotherapist will take your dog through a number of exercises and swimming activities to strengthen and build communication with damaged joints, weakened areas and muscles in this non weight bearing environment. This is very useful if you have an overweight dog, injured dog, sports or working dog, or elderly dog needing more appropriate forms of excercise. Please feel free to call for more information, to be sent an information leaflet or to ask for a vet referral form. All dogs need to have one signed by the vet to say they are fit to swim, even if the session is for pleasure.
Happi Days is also now working with Lisa Warrington, a fully qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist. She offers:
Soft tissue mobilisations
Massage
Trigger point therapy
Myofascial release
Kinesio taping
Stretching
Electrotherapies
Remedial exercises
Woodland walks
We take small groups for a run in our three acre, six foot fenced private woodland. The friend groups are matched by temperament and dogs can stay on a long line if they have difficulty with their recall. All fencing is newly installed, dug into the ground with Rabbit netting and six foot tall so very secure. All groups are supervised at all times, the area is three acres, large enough for the dogs to have freedom to play chase me but small enough so everyone can be observed at all times.
Woodland walks are optional and if you would like your dog to go every time they come please leave their name on the 'regulars' list. If you would like your dog to go today but not everytime then please leave their name on the walks list when you drop off.
We are able to cater for dogs from Rendlesham only that wish to go on the walk at lunch time but do not need the full day at creche with a pick up and drop off. Must meet all creche requirements of updated vaccinations and sociability, ask in reception for a quote.
Pet shop
We have a number of yummy doggie treats available in reception for you and your dog to choose from. There are various other dog related products available, poo bags, coats, collars and bandanas, handmade canine brooches, and gifts for the dog lover in your life, so just have a browse around. All regular customers are welcome to put pet shop products on their monthly bill to save time and complication.
Training
Classes run in association with the Dog Training College. All classes run for 6 weeks, and are open to Happi days customers and non-customers alike.
Puppy classes are suitable for 12 to 24 week puppies (age at start of course) and cover basics such as manners, basic cues, loose lead walking, health checks. Class size is small, and each class has at least two instructors to ensure you and your puppy get the attention you need.
Basic obedience classes are aimed at dogs of 6 months or older and build on the fundamentals learned in the puppy classes. Don't worry if you've never done classes before, as the instructors will work at whatever pace suits you and your dog best.
Classes are Wednesday evenings, at our Martlesham centre. Please get in touch or visit Dog Training College's website for more information or to book.
