What a score for a handyman! Henry came to install a new over the range microwave and small cabinet. He found problems with the existing venting and after checking with one of his crew chiefs diagnosed the venting problem and fixed it. Henry installed the OTR microwave and cabinet with such attention to detail I was really impressed. He easily answered my questions and adopted my ideas if they were valid. Mark, the owner, was easy to work with on the phone and immediately scheduled our work. This was the third company that I contacted about getting this job done, the first two bailed on us, and we were not disappointed. Handyman Matters Vancouver replaced a couple of downspouts and fixed a leaking corner seam in our gutters. One of the downspouts leaked weeks later when we had our first rain mainly because there was no slope on the horizontal piece taking the flow from the gutter to the actual downspout. HMM sent a a different man (Joe) our to fix it. He spent at least three hours, maybe four, removing the entire downspout and refitting it. The result was a lot better but we still leaked. HMM sent Joe out again and he discovered that the first installer had used a length of the downspout instead of an actual tapered piece that has a tapered end which allows it to be inserted into the downspout which eliminated the problem. As he had to run down to Home Depot for the correct piece he spent another four hours making it right. HMM Vancouver not only responded to the problem twice but their scheduling and followup with phone calls to ensure my satisfaction was much appreciated. Oh, and Joe was very courteous and patient and he left the area he worked in just as he found it. The repair we done at no charge. I will use HMM Vancouver in the future. More...

Mohammed was extremely polite, mannerly, respectful, kind, considerate, friendly, professional with lovely great taste when it comes to interior decorating.

I needed multiple repairs done on an a late 19th Century Denver Victorian before the end of the week with short notice. They sent two people over and they finished everything in one afternoon for a decent price. Jonathan was excellent!! He was on time and was able to get through a laundry list of tasks in a very short period of time: installation of two hanging lights, mounting a very heavy/large picture, water filter installation under the kitchen sink, mounted two floating night stands in the main bed room, changed the air filter in the attic, and a switch out from a light switch to dimmer switch. Called Handyman Matters and talked to Amber about getting some carpentry work done to accommodate a new refrigerator under my cabinet. Chris came out asked what I needed, explained what he was going to do and asked for my approval. He was in and out of my life in about half an hour with a job well done. I've used Handyman Matters on many occasions over the last several years, and consistently would rate all at 5 stars. We have an older home in which several generations of family have lived, and on several occasions Michelle has rolled up her sleeves for massive clean outs of over a hundred years worth of both treasured family heirlooms and junk. By hand. In high heat, inside and out, including mold, mildew and dust. I cannot imagine trusting these jobs to anyone else. She and her staff were highly sensitive to sorting, recycling & sparing family photos and other items with sensitivity and patience. The most recent jobs were cleaning out an attic, basement and outdoor building, relocation of items from attic to basement, then cleaning out remaining dust and debris. Michelle and staff completed the job magnificently, ahead of schedule and on budget. Their pricing was quite fair. The staff was bonded, polite and thorough, even making numerous improvements and sorting way beyond expectations. I cannot say enough about how important it is to have a consistently trustworthy partner in Michelle and Handyman Matters for many projects. We will continue to use them in the future. More...

We had some French doors and pantry door replaced with upgraded wood doors. The whole process from beginning to end was incredibly well done. From scheduling to communication to top-notch craftsmen. I can't say enough good about all of it. There is attention to detail every step of the way. These guys take pride in their work and make sure you are completely satisfied. Handyman Matters responded very quickly when I left a message. They were out the next day to help investigate the windows. FOund out it was going to be a much bigger job than anticpiated. They rearranged their schedule and put 2 men on the job. They pulled out 10 windows reframed them and put them back in one day! next day was caulking and painting. I had them hang a new light in the bathroom, replace switches, GFCI outlets and few other things. They charge by the hour so whatever you have for them to do they can pretty much handle. They will let you know approximately how long it will take to complete. They sent me pictures every step of the way since I was not able to be there while they worked. She provides fair quotes with a comprehensive breakdown of the charges in the form of a very specific list of services being rendered, which includes a reasonable warranty. Jeremy from Handyman Matters was prompt with communication, reminding me of our appointment the night before and telling me when he was on his way in the morning. Jeremy popped off the damaged baseboard and helped me assess that the damage came from condensation building up on the windows. Greg was great. He arrived on time and came in to see my sagging acrylic ceiling panel over the tub. We talked about how to repair it so the entire panel was glued back to the ceiling and wouldn't fall down again. We also talked about how to prop it against the ceiling so the glue could dry.
