I highly recommend HamiltonStudio.ca. Sam Taylor the owner is helpful and courteous. The facilities have numerous backdrops, fabric and paper, and a brick textured wall. There's window lighting and four strobes. There's a shower with a an optional rain effect. Sam has several pieces of furniture: arm chairs, couches, a bed, a buffet, a vintage radio, a bathtub, bean bag chair and stools. You can borrow from an extensive wardrobe. It's roomy, with high ceilings, and ladders if you need them. There are two bathrooms, a change room and a make up counter and mirror. Sam's thought of just about everything else you might need, for example lint roller, cold soft drinks, hair pins, polish remover, scissors, clamps, and extension cords. He offers what I think are very reasonable rates for a space so well equipped and convenient to use. More...

This reference is long overdue but I’m only just working on them this month after a dramatic couple of months.

Wow where on earth do I start

First off, I will say that on shooting with sam for the first time during his visit over to the uk last year, he is simply one of the most genuinely lovely, bubbly, fun, and creative characters I have had the pleasure of meeting.

Our first shoot at Rivington castle went by far too quickly and we worked so well as a team. We just clicked and I didn’t want it to be too long before we had the opportunity of working together again..... Soooo, I took a flight out to Hamilton in Ontario for a few days. I can easily say that this was one the best highlights of my life! Sam was there to pick me up from the airport and he really did look after me so so well. He kindly introduced me to a few other fellow photographers who I had the pleasure of creating some fabulous images with and in between sam took me around to see some fabulous sites including a trip to wonderland and the CN Tower in Toronto.

I really can’t thank him enough for taking time off from his work to take care of me. So kind and boy did we have some rib cracking moments!

Also, sam has an absolutely fabulous studio of which I’m glad to have had the opportunity to shoot in on a few occasions with some amazing creatives including sam himself. This is just such a beautifully well equipped studio with everything to suit every creatives needs.


Thanks so much for the opportunities, the laughs, the memories, and a friendship which blossomed just over a few days. Here are to more creative moments and memories on my next trip over! I’m so excited!!!!!! � X More...

This studio is a rare find and true jem for the experienced photographer or anyone looking to enjoy the experience and gain knowledge from running their own personal shoot. Sam was so accommodating from start to finish. During my initial call every question I had, and then some, were answered in detail even before I had a chance to ask. All requests were met without hesitation and he even took extra time to hang around and give a live tutorial and walk through of the equipment/facility. The building and location have many excellent locations to capture great photos with different aspects of character. Everything listed in detail on the website were provided, clean and fully stocked upon arrival.A great experience and I will definitely be returning for family portraits this holiday season. What a perfect location! Its in the core of Hamilton and easy to find. This studio has absolutely everything to offer and all at your finger tips. Very easy going and friendly manager making the experience all that much more enjoyable. Fair pricing and availability to fit everyones needs.
