So many dishonest reviews on here by their own people. These reviews do not reflect our experience with Hamiltons or the experiences voiced across other independent review websites.
Our experience was THE WORST. And it is so difficult to come to terms with, as we consider our home our sacred space, so to be treated the way they did, was very unpleasant.
They changed plans last minute, wanting to move our home in two loads on two different trucks and with a significant time delay. We voiced that we weren't comfortable with moving our entire existence in this manner but they refused to give us all our money back and took 50% of the payment still. We had prepared and packed up everything in boxes, just to have to find someone who was properly organized last minute, as they refused to give us an estimated arrival date OF OUR HOME and all our belongings essentially. Very disappointing as there was no empathy or understanding and we feel cheated out of a lot of money.

We used Hamiltons for our move a month ago as we have used them two or three times before, when they offered excellent service. We weren't disappointed! From Jay's initial visit to quote and explain the process, to plenty of quality packing materials, plus help and advice leading up to the big day itself, Hamiltons gave 100 per cent. The removals team (Justin, Des, Ben and a third colleague later in the day) were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble - and they moved us out and in again quickly and smoothly. They were extremely considerate, careful, proactive and professional. How they got the piano up to the first floor in our new home we have no idea. Hamiltons moved my grandparent's 60 years worth of belongings. Everything was wrapped impeccably and the whole move was smooth and well organised. My grandparents weren't even there. Hamiltons packed EVERYTHING. Even the log that had been left in the wheelbarrow was wrapped and moved. Not a single thing was left behind and they have a lot of 'stuff'. Thank you Hamiltons! More...

Great bunch of guys packed our house up really efficiently and with zero breakages. Got all our stuff safely stowed in the new house, couldn't have gone better. Highly recommend using Hamiltons, they were efficient at getting a quote done, were one of the very few who just said yes to putting my beach buggy in the lorry and managed all sorts of unusual items as if it were routine, a concrete bbq, 5 metre awning and a whole load of pants and water butts. Every aspect of our local move was professional and well-executed. From the site survey and quotation to the execution of the move, I was impressed with everyone I interacted with. They even sent a crew back on two separate occasions: once to collect boxes and packing materials, and once to move some furniture we had changed our minds about. Amazing service! recently used them to move house as i have back problems, the two gentlemen that turned up on time and so polite to talk to. Every time i tried to help they told me to stop as it was their job to move and make it the best experience i could ask for. Best thing was them making my rather large television safe for moving, i didn't have the original box for it, no problem! Two moving blankets, three Hamilton boxes and lots of tape. The team of Paul, Jamie, Steve and two others was excellent. The men were polite, helpful, quiet workers with no time wasted - truly professional.
For example, having put the heavy piano at the position we suggested, they offered to move it if we wanted it elsewhere!
It was a wet day, but that did not seem to bother them! Before unloading the lorry they covered the floor in the whole house with film protect the carpets.
We would recommend Hamiltons Removals to anyone.

The team at Hamiltons provided a fantastic service from start to finish. We moved from a 3 bedroom house in Provence into storage for a month and then delivered to my new house in Oxford.
The house in France had a long narrow drive which needed a shuttle van to go between the house and the lorry. We had done some of the simpler packing but wanted the team to pack all my fragile stuff into boxes. My husband is a painter and there were lots of oil paintings that needed crates making.
Right from the word go Hamilton's were excellent. The office staff talked us through every step of the move. Jay (the sales manager I think) explained about the packing, crating my husband's paintings and the van to get up and down our road. Before the move the team were very helpful and accommodating and always available to answer all of my questions.
The 2 guys that packed Steve and Ian were amazing. They worked really hard all day. There were a couple of beds and wardrobes that needed dismantling and reassembling. All the furniture was wrapped in blankets and they used extra blankets in the lorry to protect things from rubbing.
When we had found a house to move into I rang Jay and asked if he could arrange for the delivery. 2 days later the delivery happened. The guys moved the furniture into the right places and dismantled the crates for the paintings. Our piano had been moved so carefully it didn't need re-tuning when it was delivered
You get what you pay for and Hamiltons' care and attention to us and our move have been first class.
I'm very impressed with the service I had. Thank you Hamiltons :)

Hamilton's have moved me and my family and they also moved my parents on a separate occasion. On both occasions the guys were so friendly and helpful and really helped to de-stress the day (even my wife relaxed a little! ). Really appreciated the way they were so respectful of the properties at both ends, laying mats and protection so that wet and muddy boots (we didn't have great weather) didn't make mess. I had not moved house for 18 years, so moving was a big deal. I contacted several removal firms, however I was suitable impressed with the professionalism and customer service from start to finish. An on site survey by Jay, who was brilliant, ensured we were allocated the right size vehicle, plus he talked us through the process, including issuing boxes, tape etc. On the day the guys turned up on time and worked incredible hard, ensuring all our items were packed safely and securely. Both the guys worked exceptionally hard to ensure all our items were placed in the correct rooms to save us moving them later. They worked until we were happy all items were found a suitable room in the house and left just after 8.00 p.m. with no quibble. I've since recommended Hamilton's to three work colleagues and friends. I never make recommendations unless I'm a 100% satisfied. More...

My move took 2 days: 1st day I paid for the guys to do a full 'professional wrapping and packing service' (I think that's what it's called), so all of my furniture was protectively wrapped and everything else was boxed-up. I must say I didn't realise there was such an art to wrapping furniture - but apparently there is, and I was very impressed with their skills! 2nd day was the actual move and everything went really well, no problems at all. Excellent service through the whole process, from initial discussion to confirmed booking, supply of packing materials and then the move itself, which was spread over three days.
