What do you love most about your job?
I LOVE making people feel safe and secure and mostly making people's day. I love the fact that when you work extremely hard ensuring the well being of your valued clientele that they truly appreciate all the effort and time that goes into such a project and their own safe keeping. I love the fact that no one day is the same and that you have so many 'unknown' factors you have to cope with every single day. I LOVE the fact that this morning I can ensure the safety of a High Net Worth client in London and by this evening I could secure a High Risk Politician in a foreign country. Most of all is the fact that I am able to live a life most other people will say is best 'forgotten'. I love to learn about different cultures and people and my job most certainly provide the opportunity.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had an extremely hard upbringing. I only got my first pair of school shoes at the age of 9 and my Dad worked extremely hard in my native country of South-Africa. He set such an amazing example because his willingness to work long and unsocial hours in order to ensure we got some food in our bellies embedded the desire to ensure I work for myself one day allowing my children to have options I simply did not have in life. I also first joined both the Military and National Police and worked extremely hard ensuring I get decent qualifications and experience and when the time was right did I take a leap of faith and so far have I not looked back.
