My husband and I took Lamont's course on September 14th along with a group of 7 other ladies. It was great to see so many females wanting to be able to protect themselves and their families. The course began at 9AM (sharp) and ended just around 4:30PM at the gun range. Lamont is a very good instructor and threw some humor in there as well. He knew his stuff and made sure that we all knew it as well by the end of the day. It is a classroom setting with a power point. There was lots of dialogue with everyone in the class so lots of Q&A. When the classroom portion is done, you hop in your cars and go to the range. We all got our turns at loading and firing the guns. I have never fired a gun before but I passed. My husband (former military) got a perfect score. I advise you to bring water and a snack. We all walked over to a nearby McD's for lunch but I am not a big fan so I was starving by the end of the day. Thanks for the great day Lamont! We appreciate it. More...

I was in attendance on 9/14/2019 with the LTC Class along with some others, this man was very informative with the laws concerning handguns and not to mention he has a great sense of humor. He was straight and to the point, but also made sure that you understood the laws, codes, safety, responsibility as a gun owner. I would recommend Gunns Training Academy. Class was amazing. If I had to do it all over again. I would. The instructor gave good examples, made class very interesting and kept you alert. He's very well knowledgeable about the training materials and has a very good way of delivering it to the class where you can understand. I am relatively new to firing handguns and I was very concerned about finding a quality instructor that would teach me the “rock solid” fundamentals of how to properly handle and shoot a handgun with proficiency and consistency and most especially, responsibly. I made a choice to go with Lamont and Gunns’ Training Academy and I am so glad that I did! The patience that the instructor demonstrated, along with the concise, experienced and practical application of how to handle your handgun, and most especially yourself, was just what I was looking for. Carrying and being responsible for the proper handling of a firearm is such a huge responsibility.
