Greetings! My name is Rick Iacoboni, and I offer two services: Guitar Lessons and Acoustic Guitar At Events. I have played guitar since age 8 and began teaching guitar over 15 years ago. As a performer I have played over 3,000 engagements both as a member of a six-piece horn band and as an instrumental acoustic guitarist.
I get great satisfaction knowing that I have made a difference in
people's lives as I see their skill levels and confidence increase dramatically because of my teaching and their dedication. It's a partnership. I only accept students who are serious about learning guitar and are willing to commit to at least 5-10 minutes of daily practice. It has to be a priority. My students range from children (ages 6 + up) to adults to seniors.
1st Lesson is FREE! This gives me a chance to assess the student's skills, and for the student to become familiar with my teaching methodology. My studio is located in Parma off Broadview & Pleasant Valley Roads near Normandy High School. I teach Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings after 5:30 pm.

I'm happy learning to play the Acoustic guitar Rick is very patient he explains things esp Chords finger techniques w arching the fingers and pressing the fingers on the strings so you can hear the notes nice &clear sounds ! He evens write out the music notes to match which finger should Correlate to each string. Also Rick can take a song, transpose the notes for more of an easier playing level to learn the songs. I told Rick it's really fun when you can play a song you hear on the radio not just playing Mary had a little lamb .Thus far I played Somewhere over the Rainbow now I'm into James Brown hopefully to do Some Elton John Prince& Fleetwood Mac More...
Rick is a great guitar instructor. He is very patient and also able to customize the class based on student's unique situation and learning needs, flexible on the time as well. For someone like me who barely have any music background nor experience, making up the mind to learn a new instrument at the age of 27 is never easy, but now with Rick's help and his tailored teaching method & approach, I'm really enjoying my guitar lesson now and can't wait to learn new stuff every week. Rick will make sure that every week's assignment will be challenging, but not overwhelming, and I do feel great pride in accomplishing those small challenges one at a time. More...
Rick is a great instructor. Ricks level of experience combined with a deep understanding of music theroy allows the guitar student the best of both worlds. For example, Rick shows you how to play and explains why your doing it. This approach has helped me greatly. I'm now actually doing things with the guitar I thought were impossible. Thanks Rick More...
Rick does a fantastic job tailoring a program to both of my children. They are on the young side but have progressed quite well over the past several years. We have also shown up to lessons early and have seen/heard his work with students of different ages. I would recommend Rick to anyone looking to learn the guitar. More...
