I love this place! It's been fun to see it evolve since it's opening and I hope it stays strong. Will have to update my food photos next time but be assured that their food is excellent. I am in love with (and currently jonesing for) their Bratchos, I have to get about two additional servings of banana peppers! If you have a chance check out the breakfast menu and of course the wurst themselves nothing I've had or sampled has disappointed. The decor is crazy and eclectic but works, new outdoor patio looks inviting (dogs must stay out of serving area which puts them near a drive aisle so probably best to leave the puppers at home). One funny thing I've noticed is I'm not quite sure I've come across an establishment that has so many messages from the Ownership? I could go either way on some of and understand why they feel the need to discuss/broadcast their decisions but on the other hand, can I just come their and enjoy the experience and think on other things than the details of the credit card fees Again not a big issue but just very strange way of communication not seen many other places. While I am not a big fan of their beer the IPA is solid, this is their only weak spot but it should not deter you from trying them.Lastly, from a location perspective I am so so so happy to have them as an option on the strip and before Hawkeye basketball games! Never leave! More...

Super introduction to Iowa City for the football game tomorrow! The Brat’chos were great and the beer good and cold. Don’t know when we will be back in Iowa City, but if we are back we will surely stop back by Guild.

This is a fantastic restaurant that has a variety of food that requires more than one trip. We had the grilled cheese which was classified as the best ever tasted and a Reuben that consisted of a slab of corned on the border of a half inch thick. The Reuben was worth writing home about. Prior to the main meal the brachoes are a must try which we will get ever time we visit the wurst. Also the pretzel bites are something that should be passed up. The waitress did an unbelievable job of relating the various beers to something that would contour up in your mind what it would taste like. For example this is the beer you would drink after cutting the grass. If you come to Coralville this is the place to eat and in the future when we pass through this Iowa town we will be stopped to have the wurst food. More...

Fabulous housemade sausage, fries, beer and ice cream. Great wait staff. The brewery has a fun creation story about the owners on the Appalachian Trail and have incorporated into the decor and menu.

We had been meaning to stop in here for some time and we just hadn't had the chance, it was worth the wait! Came in on a Sunday for lunch/brunch. Not crowded, but a few tables. Wait staff was quick to greet and seat us, the continued to be great for our entire visit. Family got sodas, I got the Omnibook stout, it was a great beer! Only down side to the beer selection is they only have their craft beers, and no mainstream options were available. Full bar available. Food was great, I got the feature brat, wife and daughter got breakfast. Food came out quickly and it was delish! We got a growler to go before we left. Cost was crazy, but it was inexpensive either. Would DEFINITELY come back again and would tell my friends about t as well! More...

This brewhouse is family-owned and well run. Check the blackboard for the new brews. And get a dessert. Or the almonds. Or both . Just had the chicken salad sandwich. Excellent chicken salad on grilled bread. Yes, grilled--to perfection, I might add. With fresh mint in there somewhere. Very good. And the staff are as amazing as the food. Really fun place start to finish!! More...

We stopped by Guild Wurst Tavern while visiting Iowa City. The atmosphere was great, in addition to the friendly wait staff. We ordered the Bratchos as an appetizer. They were a very tasty twist of typical nachos. I ordered the Wurst Burger, which ended up being rather oxymoronic as it was fantastic. The combination of the chopped up wurst, onions, and the 'shoppe sauce was delightful. The server recommended it and I'm glad that she did! I'm glad we visited this establishment and I hope to do so again next year. More...

We sampled 4 of the sausages. They are tasty, and so are the beans. Beer selection is fairly limited, but we found something to appease. Drink specials are great, strawberry vodka lemonade with real strawberries. The other two in my party were bigger fans than I was, but I'd probably go back. Service was friendly. More...

Can not say enough good things about this restaurant. We've been there for Brunch, Delicious!! We've been there for lunch and dinner. The guildwurst, the pretzel nibs, the burgers, the german potatoes, the seasonal wurst, the soup . . . I could go on and on. We have never been disappointed when we eat here.Drinking there is quite nice too. We've enjoyed the Horse Thief, Rocky's Favorite, Omnibock, Bird's Toasted Coconut and their seasonals. I've heard so many good things about the food & beer here so we finally gave it a try. My husband and I tried the traditional guildwurst complete with brown mustard, onions, and sauerkraut. It was divine! We both also tried the chips and onion cottage cheese dip which was pretty tasty. They have so many beers to try that they brew in house! Definitely will be back! More...

First time here. Super fast and friendly service. The food was as tasty as it gets. Fairly small place but cozy. The walls look like they could use some work, but it is all about the craft beer, sausage and fantastic sides. Just the way I like it! Can't say enough about the service, super friendly -- impressive portions. I will be back. More...

My partner ordered the Jerk bratwurst. It was spicey and full of flavor. I ordered the Buff Chicken Salad with grilled chicken; it was tasty without leaving my mouth on fire...full of fresh spinach which was a nice surprise. We had the Coffee Cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert...simple and decadently good...salted butter on top was a great touch. Staff was very friendly and attentive. This was a quiet night and I can picture this place filling up when school is in session. Highly recommended. More...

First time here and ordered the jerk wurst with grilled squash. After grazing over Christmas, the squash was the right choice. The jerk wurst had some heat, let me tell you. It builds. The heat is complimented by the pineapple and peppers. I'd get it again in a heartbeat! For dessert we split the coffee cake & ice cream. I was cynical about having coffee cake for dessert, but was pleasantly surprised! Again, this is a keeper. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Since i don't drink, i can't comment on the beer, but they had 10 on tap this night. Looks like they had something for everyone! More...

A taste of Wisconsin in the heart of Iowa. We're glad we found this gem as we were heading back to Madison. Great craft beers, excellent Bloody Mary's and friendly service. The menu has a lot to offer which makes selection difficult. They specialize in sausage so my husband ordered the wurst with a side of German potato salad. They make and smoke their sausages in-house. It was excellent and large. The potato salad was average. Not recommended. We were there for an early lunch so I opted for a less filling option. The grilled cheese with bacon -- you get a choice of cheeses so I ordered ghost pepper and cheddar. Excellent choice. Grilled cheese nirvana. The side of fries were just OK.I look forward to a return visit the next time we're in town and I'll definitely order a sausage. More...
