What kind of accounting services do you provide?
Corporation Tax, Self Assessment Tax, VAT Tax, Statutory Accounts, Limited Company Accounts, Confirmation Statements, Bookkeeping, Strategic Planning, Business Planning, Budgeting, Cashflow Forecasting, Business Planning.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
From a compliance perspective, it's really important that a business meets it's obligations for tax and annual account reporting into HMRC and Companies House. Your accountant will ensure you are compliant as well as ensure you are paying just what you owe and not a penny more.
However, this is the starting point for an Accountant. I work with my clients a lot closer looking at what is driving their business and industry and providing more support services helping them get that forward view.
What do you love most about your job?
I love having that interaction with my clients and working together to get them from where they are to where they want to be. I use a combination of looking at performance to date and asking questions of the business which will give me the opportunity to present that forward view, as well as support and challenge the business owner.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I'm a chartered accountant with more than 15 years’ experience. During this time, I've worked with listed companies, utility businesses, and investment and retail banks. While providing strategic support to multi-million pound functions, I recognised an opportunity to create a bespoke accountancy service for small businesses. GroStrategy is the result.
