Kate not only designed a superb logo from our complex remit, but helped us to crystallise our ideas and develop a better understanding of what we are about. As always her initial drafts captured our essence and her visit to hear us in rehearsal and to listen to the passion for singing that drives us gave her the opportunity to incorporate our ethos with imaginative flair. We are thrilled with the final products and her pack of guidelines to help us market and publicise ourselves effectively and cannot wait to begin. Thanks Kate, from all members of Out of the Box More...

Impeccable design aesthetic, timely, approachable and just a sense of wonder I wish I could trap in a jam jar!Kate gets it. A creative pioneer with a smile. A touch of London with a hint of bohemia. A savvy graphic designer that EdShift will never let go of.Thank you for moving to Yorkshire. More...

Kate knows exactly how to run a graphics project. From teasing the brief out of my head to managing the schedule and delivery date, she made the whole process appear effortless (which shows how hard her job really is). The end result was better than I could have imagined and (along with my logo) is my most valued brand asset. Kate nailed it. More...

Kate helped me stand out and get noticed, and only for good reasons. Her designs were dynamic but not demented. People don't forget the logo she made me, and that is everything. She is one of those rare designers who knows the corporate world but hasn't let it blunt her more creative ideas. Rather than try to nudge me towards some old template, she knew how to use my thoughts for inspiration. Thanks in part to her, people woke up and took me seriously very early on. That is rare for startups.Thank you again Kate. More...

Q&As

A great website should reflect your brand, aims and missions and your value. A unique design will keep a customer engaged and should take them on a journey to help make their decision to use your services or products. A website should be easy to use and have relevant information to highlight your services or products and why a customer should choose you over a competitor.

What designs do you like?
What is your business?
What are your aims?
Do you have a specific idea in mind?
Do you have a deadline?
What s your budget?
Do you require regular face-to face communication?

1. A Design Brief
GGs would contact you to interview you or meet up for a coffee to lay out a set design brief. At this point you may want to provide examples of some of the design styles, business cards and websites that you like, so that I can gather an appreciation for your particular tastes.

2. Early Agreement
A set of minutes outlining the brief and the conversation will be sent to you so that the brief can be approved and actioned

3. Research
GGs will then begin to research your company/business/organisation. GGs will also research your competitors and the industry you work in. During the research process, established successful logos in your industry will also be researched.

4. Initial sketches, ideas, and concepts
GGs will begin to draw out ideas for your logo in form of digital sketches, these will be presented to you for discussion.

5. First draft
Once you have decided on the concept and design it can then be developed into a solid draft.

6. Mature/reflect
The drafts(s) are put aside for a few days. This is to allow the thoughts and ideas to mature. This process is important for highlighting things that weren’t apparent in the early stages.

7. Logo Completion
GGs will now produce the final design(s) and present the logo to you to be agreed upon.

8. Branding designs
Once the logo is finalised, based on your bespoke package, design work will commence on the branding and promotional materials.

Grinning Graphics want to meet your specifications as best as possible, it helps to know the kind of designs the client likes. A list of styles or designs you are fond of can help the designer understand your tastes.

A deadline/timeline of what work you want completed and when.

Your budget can allow Grinning Graphics to tailor a price package to suit you.
