My husband and I had a very nice experience. The house is spectacular! We stayed in the Tiffany room. Beautiful. Breakfast was AMAZING! Broccoli and sharp cheddar cheese quiche, fresh fruit and peameal bacon. Lynn was a very gracious host. Gave us a tour. Told us the history of the house. They filmed a Hallmark Christmas movie there staring Lacey Chabert. I love Hallmark movies & my husband loves Lacey. Win/win. We will definitely be back. More...

This is the second time we have stayed at this lovely mansion. The rooms are furnished tastefully with antiques and are large and comfortable. The staff is friendly, extremely helpful and accommodating. Compared to other places to stay in the area the Grey Gables is extremely reasonable and the breakfast is superb! More...

Great place, cosy and warm. You can really feel the vibe of the 1911 mansion with the comfort of modern amenities. The decor is amazing and the level of service unmatched. We were leaving too early to have breakfast but the staff brought us some morning snacks nonetheless. I would absolutely recommend if you're looking for a relaxing night in a quiet area. More...

Our family spent last weekend visiting Pembroke and we booked all four rooms on the second floor of the charming Grey Gables Inn. It was a fabulous spot that we highly recommend. The Inn is a restoration of an early 1900’s mansion built by a lumber baron located walking distance from the downtown area. It has been painstakingly returned to its original splendor with rich wood walls and tin ceilings. All of our rooms had fireplaces. The owners live on the building and the breakfasts were superb. We didn't stay overnight at the inn, so I can't comment on that. We went for the Autumn Afternoon Tea, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The building itself is worth a visit on its own, so to have elegrant and delicious food was an added bonus. More...

The Grey Gables is a unique gem in the heart of the City. My husband and I were taken by surprise with the quality of workmanship, and grandeur of the Inn, the rooms, the homes history and charm. It is like stepping back in time. The owners are wonderful and care for each guests needs and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and most comfortable. If you have a chance to stay at the Inn, we highly recommend you do so. More...

When I show friends and colleagues pictures from my stay, they can't believe how astonishing the grounds are, or that they haven't heard of this Inn. Upon a friendly check-in, I was given a brief tour of the grounds, and shown to the Majestic room. The sheer size and upkeep of this property is magnificent. The kind management staff and owners do a wonderful job at keeping the Inn clean, up to date and welcoming, while still maintaining the charm and elegance of a historical Victorian manor. I really enjoyed sitting down with my host and learning of the history of the property, and she provided wonderful recommendations for restaurants. Just lounging around the Inn in the evening made me feel like I was spending way more than what the competitive other local rates are. No reason to stay at the budget motels when this is barely a higher rate for far more value.I had to check out early and was going to miss breakfast, but was told that they would wake early and make a special breakfast just for me. This level of accomodation and consideration during my time here makes Grey Gables Inn one of my favourite stays. Beautiful rooms, good conversation, comfortable beds, beautiful grounds. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely be back when the steakhouse opens in the new year!! More...

My husband and I stayed at the Inn for the first time to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Upon arrival, you are greeted with grandeur and antique charm. We were warmly welcomed with a friendly smile, and hospitality. The owners go out of their way to engage with guests, cater to any specials needs; or requests; and make every guest feel comfortable and appreciated. Our dinner and breakfast were absolutely amazing. The rooms are clean and decorated with integrity and detail keeping in mind the historic feel. We highly recommend you stay at Grey Gables Inn and indulge in a unique, delightful experience. Thank you for our stay and we wish you every blessing and success with future plans. More...

We were visiting for a family gathering and found many of the local hotels to be full. Looking on Booking.com we found you, and decided to stay . Such a pleasant surprise!! A wonderful period home, with so many of the charms of an historic home.We checked in and got settled in our room, but quickly found it to be much too warm, and due to the age of the house, hard to adjust the room temp. No problem. The owner Lisa very quickly moved us to what turned out to be the best room in the inn- no upcharge, and the staff helped us move.We got resettled and all was great. ||One of the things I found especially charming, is that they have some regular guests, who come here on business. This inn has common areas that make it feel like home. A wonderful cozy living room, which we used to have some family visit- much nicer than a hotel lobby, or being in a hotel room, which with a group of 8, one could never do. So, we got to host them in our "home". The inn has so many fantastic details, from the lobby, to the antique piano ( no you cannot play it), which has it's own local history.A fabulous sweeping broad staircase, creaking hardwood steps and all.The dining room for breakfast, makes you feel at home instantly. The hosts Lisa and Rigo discretely bring the food , and also sit and visit, if you are so inclined.||Truly a wonderful stay, very comfortable bed and pillows.||My only suggestion would be larger sized shampoo, conditionerbody lotion, soaps. They were the "motel" sized ones. It would be nice to have have had what you would get at a hotel chain of the same caliber as this inn.||Too bad we couldn't enjoy the tea room, as we were mid week. I would absolutely recommend this inn, and make sure you plan to have tea here too! More...
