What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
In order to take a great photograph you first have to 'see' a great photograph. The best pictures of weddings are those I taken without anyone knowing, these covert pictures capture natural smiles, natural laughter and natural love. Having this ability to see the next picture is one thing, but you also need to know your camera inside out and to react instinctively to subtle changes in clouds, angle of light, distance from subject and objects in the background.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I have created my very own consultation form which I complete with my clients at the initial meeting. This details all the planned aspects of the wedding day, guest numbers, desired photographs, family circumstances and special considerations.
What do you love most about your job?
Every wedding is unique and I never aim to replicate pictures taken at previous weddings. I work with a huge range of venues and people, all of whom have been delighted to see the pictures I have taken.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started several years ago by taking my old camera to weddings of friends and family. I was overwhelmed by the response to my pictures and many of my friends chose my pictures over the pictures taken by their hired photographer to be displayed around their house. By repeated hearing the same response I decided to launch my own business in wedding photography and it's the greatest move I've ever made!
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a professional photographer with an excellent ability to see pictures that others cannot. I've been learning photography since I started my Degree in 2008 and now have many years experience of using professional grade equipment to capture special moments forever. When booking with me I discover all that I can about you and your requirements, your wedding day is YOUR day so I work solely for the pictures that I know you will love. Unlike other photographers, I do not push couples into staged shoots purely for my own gain.
