Remodeling can be very difficult. My friend purchased a home that really needed a complete make over- Kitchen, baths, entry way. We received 4 quotes from 4 different companies, including Greenworks Construction and Design and out of the 4 Greenworks was the more expensive one. She decided to go with them because their process in just getting the estimate was so personable and easy. They really helped her.Bar took a challenging kitchen configuration and came up with an amazing solution. He is very analytical and at the same time an amazing designer. Bar walks you through all your choices. It can be overwhelming but you don't even realize that you have picked out tile, flooring, cabinets, countertops for a whole house when he helps and guides you. We can't say enough about Bar. We worked with Greenworks Construction during 2021 to remodel our home. We were very pleased with the experience and the professionalism of Itay as well as all his employees. Going into a remodel, my concerns were chiefly around:-going over budget-unexpected costs and bills-finding something hugely wrong with my house that would cost a lot of money-having a flakey contractor-workers not showing up to work-being swindled somehowFortunately, our experience with Greenworks was great. There were snags here and there but because they were handled with professionalism and courtesy, we could work through them. There was a written contract up front. No additional fees were added or surprised upon us. Anything additional that we added we did through a change order or another contract. Itay was always up front about the costs and he actually helped us to save money whenever possible.We didn't find anything big wrong with our house beyond what was expected. That being said, he did suggest that we upgrade the sewer pipes while we were ripping everything out. We didn't have any leaks or problems. But, because he was honest about things and told us pros and cons and costs, we trusted him enough to go ahead with that item also. Now we have piece of mind instead of pipes from 1940!Itay was great at communicating daily and telling us when workers were coming and when they were not. We never felt like we were put on hold. There was always progress going on. Even when there were delays due to the shipping problems going on worldwide, Itay pointed us in the direction of items we could get quicker and advised what the timings might be.Another thing I appreciated was that he told us ahead of time what his overhead and profit were. This let us evaluate what was reasonable.If I had to do it over again, the only change that I would make is that I would work with a designer to help me decide colors and tiles and so on. GreenWorks Construction & Design renovated most of our first floor as our kitchen was initially small and the old layout wasn't taking full advantage of the space we had. I told the salesman ( David) what I wanted and he came up with some additional (better) ideas, took pictures, and turned project over to the planning department. The renovations made our house a home. The team worked quickly, communicated well and we didn't have issues along the way. Greenworks Construction & Design Inc were able to beautifully remodel a bathroom in my Victorian home that had not been updated (except for minor cosmetic repairs) since it was originally built. They were able to reserect it from a non functional state very quickly and with minimal disruption to the rest of the house. Their attention to detail and experience allowed them to return the bathroom into a fully functional and delightful part of my house despite all of the quirks hidden within an old home's surface. My family and I have had the opportunity to witness Avi in action on many occasions when he has done a project for us or for one of our friends. His experience is vast and he has the knowledge and experience to complete just about any project you could ask of him. Itai was referred to us by friends who had done a kitchen/family room remodel several years ago and were very pleased. We needed remodeling of our outside patio area and a bedroom due to water damage & rotten wood. Itai met with us several times and worked with us on our budget which was huge because we had no idea where to start. He helped us understand what steps should be completed first and things that were important to get done while it was under construction (like new windows). Avi is an experienced builder, and he knew what he was doing in all aspects of our jobs. His workers were all very friendly, courteous, and hard workers. WOW!

We got multiple bids from highly regarded contractors. Avi/ Green Works bid was significantly better than the competition and he also promised the work would be done in about half the time his competitors were quoting, which is a big deal when you're talking about not having vehicular access to your driveway.

His team started right on schedule and worked vigorously throughout the project and finished on the promised schedule.

Our project :
(1) Redo the entire backyard hard & soft landscape, (2) Replacing the concrete driveways & walkways with pavers (over 1500 SQ FT)
(3) Construction of two sunrooms on the second & the third floor decks
(4) Construction of a new 900 SQ FT RV port and Outdoor sink with stove
(5) Beautification of outside - New stone columns to the block wall, New front patio wall & Foam moulding for the windows throughout and last was painting .

Avi worked with me to insure the key features of the work met our standard - actually they exceeded our expectations significantly. The professionalism and craftsmanship of the team is evident in the final product and I am highly confident the work they did for us will hold up for many years ( well at least I’m hoping. I will update if not ..)

I hired Greenworks Construction & Design (GWCD) to remodel my 5 x 8 bathroom and create a steam shower. Avi assured me he had been installing steam showers for over 20-years and knew how to do them. He did not. The ceiling floor for the steam unit had to be redone, as it was not reinforced. They placed the steam unit right above the area for the lights, so the unit had to be relocated. This is when we discovered they had used aluminum wire vs copper wire as stated/required in the instruction manual for the steam unit. They did not create the correct size opening nor the correct number of openings for the lights in the shower, which necessitated boring holes into the tile that had already been installed. They incorrectly ducted the vent, which then had to be rerouted. They did not know how to install handmade Sevilla floor tiles. The grout lines were uneven, and they cut the tiles in half, at the entrance, with the cut edge facing out. The tiles were one of a kind and the anchor for the design of the bathroom, so I had to find a tile place to recreate them. They also did a very poor job on installing the other tiles in the shower. They also did not know how to hang the bathroom door, and that had to be rehung. They also did not know how to read architectural drawings, which resulted in excessive and unnecessary costs to the project, as well as bad feelings with the architect. In addition, they had created a vent for the toilet, but did not seal it correctly, which resulted in. water getting inside, causing mold. This had to be corrected. Avi designed an arched, vented door for the shower. However, the height of the shower is only 7-feet, so a vented door was/is still not possible. Also, the opening for the shower door had to be relocated, as it was too close to the toilet. That is when we discovered that GWCD did not create a proper water tight barrier for the shower. We also discovered that the tiles had not been properly set and came easily off the wall. In addition, the wall tiles had been installed so close together, there was no grout to prevent water entering, thus not water proof. What its really scary is that if the shower door did not need to be moved, we never would have discovered these errors until mold and moisture had built up! I am providing as many photos as allowed so you can see what transpired. GWCD was cited by the Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB) and their Bond company for over $9,000 on the first round of complaints for the following: Abandonment without legal excuse... (B&P section 7107), Willful departure in any material respect from adapted trade standards... (B&P section 7109 (a), and Failure in a material respect to complete any construction...(B&P 7113). Then after discovering the issues she we moved the door, I filed a complaint with the CSLB , and was awarded $17,322.00. The shower will now need to be gutted, and I will have to start from the beginning, and also finish the work they did not complete. PLEASE NOTE, these types of violations will NOT show up on their bond , nor when you look up their license on the CSLB website. I tried to put a review on HOUZZ, but it was removed.
