At short notice both of my parents needed care visits. Finding a care firm that could take both was getting difficult. All were full. I was thrilled when Jodie said they were able to take both and with suitable times each day. I was able to follow care planned and given via the link on line. As a care agency Greenwood home care are probably the best I've worked for in regards to service user care. They will all go above and beyond to give your loved ones the best quality care they can. They provide a great work life balance meaning no sloppy care and defo no frustrated rushed care workers we are given the time we need to travel and time to spend with your loved ones and even have a chat at the end. Staff literally leave any issues outside your home and the office does have a very open door policy. Highly recommended as a care agency and the quality care is 1000% spot on. As an employee........ Positives Management have always being fair and they do have a open door policy they also try to work with you when things in your life goes upside down and they is no pressure when you need to take immediate time off (no guilt feeling). Pay is fare - someone else out there might pay you a £more and pay you your full travel time but trust me When I say them Companies tend to work you to the ground back yo back calls no time for a break treat you like rubbish. I was on £10 an hour I took a pay decrease and greenwood's defo made me happier at work I was nothing but angry and stressed. Attractive pay is not always the best attraction Negatives... It is frustrating when you are trying to have a serious convosation with office staff and they interrupt you with a repetitive line. Things are said as a suggestion and they then later use it against you to aid the release of your services. Let's just say not even a fit for work note from a gp was excepted as a offer to evidence all was OK. I feel The Compamy had already made there mind up about my future even during my appeal I feel I was heard but almost laughed at even from the beginning when the statement " greenwood's stands by there decision well we will see at the end of this but.. " so as I say looking back I got my appeal beceause you have a right to appeal a decision but it was just to appease me. Coinsidental my termination date was 6 days before my 2 years employment so I could not go through a tribunal. Hand on heart, with all my heart if anyone out there needs care this company is for you if you want to do care and be treated like a human with a family this is the company I doubt you will find better. When you weigh up the pros and cons. It's almost all Positive one irratating factor and 1 factor where I feel I wasn't given a fair shot. P. S I'm now a cleaner 3 weeks no issues at all.
