Great place for lunch downtown. Very fresh salads. Had wild caught salmon special that was excellent. Service was spot on. Good choice for a lunch meeting or to gab awhile with a friend. Update on my previous review:  They no longer have the Tuna Melt Sandwich on the menu.  I get that restaurants have to evolve and change, lest they wither into mediocrity, but it truly was the best Tuna Melt in town.  A pity.

Just left and I am so glad I stopped in today. Service was great, staff was very friendly and professional. The food was delicious and fresh! They have the best lasagna. Whenever I host a special event at work, Greens on Tenth is my first call. My favorite lasagna is their short rib.  I usually get a pan of their vegetable also. And I top it off with a half sheet of focaccia bread.  Everyone really enjoys it & there is plenty for lunch the next day. I like that they buy from local farmers. Everything tastes so fresh.I have never had a disappointing dish. From their quiches to soups to salads & sandwiches and everything in-between Their service is extremely homey. I had a delicious salad here for lunch. This was my second visit to Greens and I really love this place. The service was outstanding. Mayra was very friendly and provided great insight on the menu. This is definitely a hidden gem. By the way, they also have a beautiful banquet area as well as meeting space. This place is a gem with a menu offering some wonderful farm-to-table choices. I work in downtown Modesto, and go here 2 - 3 times a month for lunch.  Their stand out sandwiches include the Caprese, the Ham and Brie with Fig Jam, and their Tuna Melt (best in town).  They also have a fantastic Cobb Salad, along with occasional specials of exceptional beef or turkey chili.  If you're a keto diet lover, Green's new grain bowls are incredible.  And I want to add a shout out to Mayra, one of the best servers anywhere in Modesto. I went to a catered luncheon meeting here and was very pleased. The food was excellent. Chicken Marsala and salad. Everyone at our table really enjoyed it. The service was spot on. I am sitting here eating a delicious roasted turkey pesto sandwich it was great nice portion I got a side salad with it freshly cracked black pepper at table side I was greeted promptly while walking in and my server was amazing she asked if I had any questions about menu I was more curious about the business the menu the kitchen was In view which is a plus for my culinary mind and also got to ask a little about their catering everything about this place screams that I would love to be here one day in a kitchen like this thanks

I used to go to Greens on Tenth almost exclusively for lunch with my family while working downtown. The reason I'm not giving Greens on Tenth five stars is because I ordered the Caprese Sandwich every time. When I didn't order that sandwich, I just didn't like it as much. The food: You must try the Caprese Sandwich (obviously). The focaccia bread is cooked fresh and it is just so so amazing. If you love bread, you absolutely have to try it. The drinks: I've never had a cocktail here, but the soda is good. My cousin always got the same one. They don't have coke, but their cola is great! The atmosphere: It's definitely a nice, clean place in downtown Modesto. It's super close to the Gallo Center and the Double Tree Hotel. I definitely recommend you try the Caprese for lunch here! I really like this place, they have great salads and you can always get a good seat rather quickly. I forget the name but I really enjoyed the Asian style chicken salad. Their decor is very sleek and modern and and they have an impressive open floorplan. The service is prompt and friendly. I also really enjoy that the people preparing food are visible, it gives you a sense that you really are up next.  I feel that this place, albeit slightly expensive but very nice little gem hidden in the middle of downtown. I had an event of 170+ people and they accommodated that "plus" without skipping a beat. We had about 10 extra people just show up and sit down and all were fed and treated like they were absolutely expected. All along, the staff was flexible, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Cute place but different from Website. The online site showed as if it was a bar. We went and there was nobody there. So I was a little concerned. I asked our waitress if they had a bar and she said no we mainly do catering. Knotts when I took a picture next door which was incredible. Amazing place to have a reception if you're getting married. Their food is just as good as it was when they had the restaurant on bangs. But it's not like it was on bangs Avenue. There's no display of food really. There was one little display box of some salads and some foods that they have. And you still can order and pick it up. It's just sad because the one on bangs Avenue was just incredible restaurant. And their menu selection was very slim. But still it tasted really good. And are we just was wonderful. You can ask for alcohol but the thing is they don't really have anything refrigerated so wine I got was warm. Which was okay. It's not like it used to be. When we left there was three or four other tables of customers. I don't know if I would come back again except for maybe to order to pick up. They have a beautiful room for parties and a bar there. We had lunch here Tuesday. The service was prompt, but she didn't hear my husband correctly. He ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad and she brought a chicken salad sandwich.
