Soooo, where do I start... this place had a huge line. Me & my friends decided to get this season special specials; a seasonal salad was recommended by my cashier & prime rib sandwich. Then we got cocktails from the bartender Ryan & he was very sweet and kind so if ever to order drinks make sure to order from him. We found some seats in the back room since their patio was full. Anyways, we were waiting for our food to come & it was taking awhile. I asked one of the guys to check on our food. His name was Art. He asked if we would like everything at once or whatever comes first. We said whatever comes first since we were hungry. When our salads finally came, my salad came with onions which I had to ask Art if he can remake it since I cannot eat them. He apologized for the inconveniences and offer me hummus with flatbread while I wait for the new salad since all my friends got their food and I didn't. Art was very helpful even tho the place was  full. He still talked to us even tho there was a rush from Pantages theater. He told us about the best time to stop by and also about happy hour. The healthiest go to spot in Orange County for a full, delicious meal.The Hollywood Bowl is a favorite, as is the Moroccan Chicken bowl. Everything here is fresh, light, and totally delicious. Generous portions with the bowls (they're all I ever get, and I always leave perfectly full and happy). The downside is that the prices seem a touch higher than most - 10-20% or so. This place is very cool! My husband recommended it to me, because he's been here for a few times and he loved it. My husband is on a Paleo diet, so it's usually difficult to find good options for him in the restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised that this place had a little bit of everything for any kind of diet. So cool!!! They even had a little dog menu :) They think and care about everyone and everything! I ordered Spicy Vegan burger with garlic fries. We asked if they can do "no spice", because I cannot eat spicy food, but I am vegetarian, so it was my only option for burgers. They said "yeah". But I ended up getting the spicy burger. I ate it, but next time I will not order it, because I don't want them to forget about spice again. Garlic fries were amazing! If you haven't already been here then you should. The food is very fresh and paired so well creating different flavors then most places have. They allow substitutions, which is great with people like myself with food allergies. The ice tea is crisp and the lemonade tastes fresh squeezed. Everything I've had here had been wonderful. What, healthy foods on Hollywood Boulevard? Has Tinseltown gone crazy? No, it has always been crazy--wonderful. Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop, offers vegan, gluten free, paleo, and enough meat, chicken, fish, and salads to please the most difficult palette. You can sit outside, next to "The Hollywood Walk of Fame" under their covered patio or inside at the tables or bar. This is a lively, happy place. We got lucky and sat at the low bar, perfect for wheelchair customers.Here's how it works. You order off the menu, at the front of the eatery, and your food is delivered to your table.Ryan and Jeff, our servers and bartenders, explained the menu and offered several suggestions. In a busy restaurant it is often difficult to get personalized service. However, Ryan and Jeff are knowledgeable, friendly, and best of all, remembered our names. My partner choose the roasted chicken with riced cauliflower, and I the vegan burger. My companion found the roasted chicken excellent. My avocado, jalapeno, vegan burger is a little spicy but delicious. It was accompanied by baked, sweet potato fries. (And three vegan sauces, ketchup, hot sauce, and ranch dressing.)Everything is wheelchair accessible. There are four bathrooms. Three are gender-neutral. The forth is for women only. There is indoor, outdoor, communal and bar seating. You order at the register for the most part. We sat at a communal table in the bar area and had our order taken, which was a surprise. Friendly service. Food and drinks didn't take too long to prepare. Pricey, but that's cuz they use organic and local ingredients, which I can appreciate and understand the premium in price.We both got their mule to drink, which has activated charcoal in it! Created an entree with two sides and split it. Went with their almond crusted chicken, mac, and sweet potato fries. Everything was great! Good for pre-show dinner, especially if you don't have a lot of time. Unlike other restaurants around the Pantages, no reservations needed (or taken) here. Even if the line is long and empty chairs are few (self seating) you can get it done and make curtain if you've got 30 minutes. I've seen the complaints about getting a clean table. Yes, that can happen but I don't think it's a big deal especially considering this is an issue only during a pre-show rush. The food is consistently good. More...

Our go-to spot before performances at the nearby Pantages Theater. Great menu that has items for the vegetarians and the meat eaters in our group, tasty seasonal cocktails, and friendly and efficient service. I especially love their interesting take on nachos - so bleeping delicuous! Never have had a dissapointing meal here, unlike some of the musicals at the Pantages! I've been to Greenleaf a couple times and the food was pretty good! Employees are nice and helpful and the atmosphere is pleasant! Yesterday I ordered takeout through grub hub on my way home from work, and not entirely sure if it was on grub hubs end or greenleafs, but it took about 20min for them to "accept" the order. By that time I was already sitting in the parking lot in my car, and it said it was going to take another 30 minutes to prepare. I ordered a salad. So I sat in my car for a bit, probably at least 15 min, and then I finally went inside just to see if it was ready - mind you the app still said I had about 15 more minutes for it to be ready - and my food was indeed done. Once again, not sure if this is something the employees need to input that the order is ready or if grub hub takes some time to update?Either way I got my salad and I went home. I had created my own salad(more expensive than their signature salads - even though you probably get less toppings), and had paid the extra (whopping) $2.40 for avocado as my protein. Now I know we all know avocado costs extra, but seeing as $2.40 is more than the cost of an entire avocado, I was hoping to have half an avocado on my salad. To my disappointment there was only a quarter. $2.40 for a quarter of an avocado. The salad was good but next time I'll just go to the store if I'm gonna spend $16 on a salad. Costa Mesa, Ca.I enjoyed my lunch here even though I had to endure an overly chatty woman who was ahead of me at the ordering counter. The guy taking orders was very polite and let her ramble.I came in for the glazed salmon salad but saw they were offering up an Angus burger so I figured I better give it a try. The burger tries to be a premium burger at $12.75 and it is well presented with the necessary brioche bun. The requisite lettuce above the bottom bun prevented a lot of moisture from dissolving the bun. However the buns are not toasted and neither the top nor the bottom survived the consumption of the entire burger. The patty is about 3/8 of an inch thick, way too thin to qualify as a premium burger, IMHO. The burger was delicious, possibly worth the money but probably not quite. The meat was especially flavorful, just not enough of it. The avocado toast was ok, but the whole wheat bread they use didn't make for a peak experience.
