I hired Greenberg after interviewing 7 contractors for my whole house remodeling project in Los Altos. I was very impressed with Maor's professional and expertly quote. Price was not lower side for sure but I was able to see exactly what I am getting. And I also felt there is no crazy overhead like some contractors. I have had many setbacks due to numerous issues in my planning but for every issue, Maor stood by my side, working with city and architect to give the best solution possible. And unlike others, he is not afraid to change/challenge the plan if it is for the right reason. Maor and his team have great sense of design and I have adopted many of their ideas along the way. The result has been outstanding so far. I particularly like their sense of minimalistic clean modern design. Their selection of materials are great and the design service for kitchen/bar/laundry from Jennifer and Marin has been top-notch. I am about 2-3mon away before my completion of projects. I will certainly update this review when my project is done. But it was my best decision to go with Greenberg and they really saved my entire project. I will certainly consider going with them for the whole process next time. I respect Maor for his professionalism and expertise and I consider him as a friend coming out this hugely challenging project together. More...

Our project involves tearing down our existing home and building a new house on a hillside lot. After interviewing different builders, we realized Greenberg Construction is in a league by themselves. In addition to offering most of the relevant services (architectural design, 3D modeling, structural engineering, … and assistance with interior design), they fully comprehend and assist with cost vs. value tradeoffs. They really care and walk the talk because they have depth and breadth in both skills and experience. We hired Greenberg in early October with an almost impossible schedule of architecting our new house, going through our city’s hearing and approval process, engineering the structural plans, and submitting to the city’s building department before the city’s Dec 20 deadline (Major new building codes take effect on Jan 1, 2020). We had less than three months to achieve what normally takes upwards of one year. Rather than tell us we have an impossible task, Greenberg took it upon themselves to achieve success. This magical turn-around involved daily architectural revisions and parallel structural engineering, all with a clam and supportive attitude. Working around the clock (we were getting updated plans at 4am), Greenberg delivered and we achieved our building department stamp on Dec 18, 2019. What can I say, these guys were awesome again!  I hired them to completely remodel my dad's bathroom a few months ago.  They did such a fantastic job, I hired them to remodel my kitchen.  I had never done a large remodel before, so I was a bit nervous.  But having Ohad available as our contact person made it so much better.  Any questions or concerns I had I was able to either call or text him and he would return my call/text within a few mins or at least within a 12 hour period and answer any questions.  Working with these guys is just amazing.  I can't stress enough how important it is to work with a contractor you can trust and these guys are definitely one of them.  They measure and do all the leg work.  You go out and purchase the items based on what you like and then they install everything.  Our kitchen remodel took about 6 weeks to complete from demo to finish.  (We didn't move any walls or change the floor plan)  Another item to mention is that all the workers were very kind and personable to me and my family including our dog.  We plan to hire them again when we're ready to remodel our master bathroom in 2020. We hired Greenberg Construction to do a full house renovation including a 300 sf extension. From the first time we met Ginadi (our project manager), we knew we were dealing with an honest and professional individual. Ginadi didn't low-ball his quotation estimate in order to get our business, but presented us with a breakdown of the construction costs, timing of payments due when construction phase is completed, phases when a structural engineer will be needed, and what to expect during the building permitting process. We were fully informed before, during, and even after the construction is completed. He prepared us for unexpected things. Ginadi's crew worked hard, kept the house clean and tidy even though we didn't live at the house during construction, and are honest people. Ginadi worked well with our architect/interior designer and carried out the construction according to building plans. He followed up with the Building Permit office when there's a delay. He kept us informed all throughout the process. We are now enjoying our beautiful forever home. Our renovation have gone so smoothly and we thank Ginadi and his crew for all their hard work! We had a great experience remodeling our bathroom with Greenberg Construction. They provided us with a reasonable estimate, and explained what would happen in case of contingencies - which we fully expected - given a 70 year old home.

Sure enough, after they did the demolition, it became clear we had some dry rot. They came up with a plan to deal with it. Later, not unexpectedly but on a Sunday, the water heater died. They arranged to have it replaced the next day. There were a number of other unexpected issues, so the project took longer than originally planned and was considerably more expensive - but all of these changes led to much needed improvements to our home.

There were a few cases where placement of (for instance) light fixtures and shower niches were difficult to do given the placement of supporting beams in the wall. In these cases our project leader worked closely with us to explain options. In the end we were able to get the bathroom arranged to our wishes.

TLDR: I worked with Yosef to discuss remodeling my new home. I got the scope of work and the estimate, but I decided to go with another contractor ONLY because our budget was tight. Yosef is considerate and really cares about his customers. He responds quickly and hears your concerns. He definitely put effort into lowering the cost, but it was still a bit over budget for us. Greenburg quote was ~20% more expensive than the contractor I went with (not the cheapest option), but I think you will get what you pay for. I would have worked with them if our budget was higher. I was convinced that Greenburg is one stop shop to bring your home to the next level. Long version: We bought our first home in Foster City, which needed quite a bit of remodeling inside. My wishlist included remodeling the kitchen, bathrooms, floors, installing recess lights, updating fireplace and the list went on. I found Greenburg on Houzz.com. Soon after I reached out, I met Ginadi and Yosef at our new home. They were very professional and listened carefully to our needs. I learned a lot from Yosef and Ginadi just during the first meeting. They were able to suggest ideas on the spot when I told them I want more contemporary look. About 3 days after, Yosef e-mailed me the scope of work, and we scheduled our second meeting at Greenburg office. We discussed the cost of the project and our budget. When I finally notified him that we could not afford Greenburg, he completely understood and still spent time on suggesting ways to save money. Our project is completed and we are amazed and thrilled with the work by Ginadi and his Team!! We heard a lot of horror stories of people's experiences with remodeling, but ours was not part of THAT statistic. And the timing was perfect. We moved into our home in January and our home weathered the aggressive winter weather with no problem. Ginadi has been like family to us, he is kind, honest, very very very responsive, and he guided us through every step of the process. Considering we had no experience in this, Ginadi always took time to explain aspects of the project in detail. He would always say, "what questions do you have for me? Followed by "What else?" They were also great about closing the garage door when it didn’t need to be open as we had asked them to. The quality of the work was top notch. The tile work in particular turned out amazing. Ginadi was great at making himself available to chat via text or phone about any questions we had about the project as it was going. I really valued Ginadi’s experience as well. He had great suggestions and it was a relief to be working with someone who has the experience to know what works well and what doesn’t. Now that the work is done, I can happily write this review for Ginadi and the great team lead by Juan. We had met with Ginadi a few years ago and decided to put off remodeling altogether because we weren't ready for the amount of work with a little one on the way. Well, with two more on the way this year, we decided it was now or never. We met with a few contractors and decided Greenberg was still the best fit for us. We appreciated his thoroughness with the scope of work and that he was quick to respond knowing we were crunched for time. The job was completed on time even though there were hiccups along the way. The week before work was supposed to start, we noticed that our water heater had been leaking and caused damage to our half bathroom. Ginadi was quick to come by to take a look and present a quote for the work that needed to be done. This project was not part of the original scope of work so it was such a relief that they were able to fix it for us and still complete the other two bathrooms on time. Whenever there was an issue (due to the laziness of the original builders of his home), Ginadi was on top of it to present us with solutions to make it as stress-free as possible.Juan and his team worked long hours to get the job done on time and we are forever grateful for that. Any time we had questions or a request to fix something he had a great attitude and would do it without hesitation. He also helped us figure out what the best layout was for our tiles and placement of other fixtures. If you need recommendations on where to get materials, don't hesitate to ask! We wished we didn't waste time with some vendors because we ended up going to the trusted ones Ginadi recommended after some epic fails with others. We hired Greenberg to do a remodel of our kitchen, living room & family room. Overall, we've had a great experience working with them & would use them for future work. On our first meeting, Maor provided us with ideas on how we could achieve what we wanted, while listening to what was important to us and what we didn't want to change. Very soon after, he provided us with a detailed break up of the budget and timelines. Greenberg's proposal made us feel most comfortable in terms of cost and their ability to execute. We were not disappointed through the project!. Greenberg met their timelines (very rare in the remodeling world!) and provided us with an A quality team. Our new kitchen looks fantastic! We chose Greenberg, because their quote was lower than the one we received from another company, and because they were able to start sooner. They didn't disappoint us. They were very professional throughout our time working with them; they had all of their contract paperwork in order up front, and there were no surprise costs. They were able to start very soon after our initial conversation, and the project was completed in about 8 weeks (as compared to the 6 weeks they predicted). However, the brief delay was almost entirely the fault of the company that installed the countertops, which was not under Greenberg's jurisdiction, so I don't fault them for that. They were even willing to go to bat for us with that other company as well as with our backsplash vendor to make sure we were treated well. If I could suggest an area for them to improve on, it would be making sure all important information gets transmitted to all the right people (from us to the managers to all the contractors and vice versa, for example) and to keep us in the loop a little more on what days we can expect them to work on our project. This review is for Ginadi. Though we didn't ultimately move forward with the job due to personal reasons, had we decided to, we would certainly have hired Greenberg and Ginadi. Ginadi is professional, trustworthy, punctual, experienced, knowledgeable, has a good eye for design, and most of all, is friendly. He feels like a family friend: one that you know you can trust decisions and money with, and one with your best interests at heart.We wanted to do a 500 sqft addition to our singe family home in Mountain View. We explored all the options with Ginadi, including adding a master suite, renovating the family room, adding a powder room, adding a mud room, moving the kitchen, etc. He spent several hours over 4-5 meetings at our home going through ideas with us.We didn't ultimately move forward due to some changes on our end, and I want to be clear, this had nothing to do with Greenberg or Ginadi. We are mid-way through our 2nd renovation project for the year but the first one with Greenberg. Every project comes with stress and hiccups but I have to say that there are several things I really value during our current project.  The team is sincere, reassuring and kind.  Seriously.  Those are tough characteristics to find in the construction world.  They truly care. No one likes strangers in their home. The people on the job site are hard working and a pleasure to have in our home.  Our assigned team (Ohad and Ginadi) have been responsive to our needs and questions. The work so far has been lovely and they have passed inspection every time without issue.  My favorite thing is that no matter what I bring up or point out they always say "Don't worry - we will take care of it" and they have kept to their word.  I will do another review when we are at the end. I hired Greenberg Construction to remodel my dad's bathroom, which was in serious need of updating.  The old bathroom had black mold and was in real bad shape.  Since this was a different location than where I live.  I had to arrange for Greenberg to meet me in Palo Alto, at his home.  They were always on time and I was very impressed with the service level.  They provided me with a detailed estimate and timeline of the work.   I didn't have the time to shop for tile or a vanity and/or pick things up.  I wanted them to do everything.   They would text me pictures and I was able to provide input and approve.   In the end, I was very happy with the results.  The bath/shower looks fantastic, the tile floor and the new vanity, everything looks great.  I plan to use them on future projects as I continue to remodel the home.  I would highly recommend these guys. We did a whole house renovation including structural changes, bathroom and kitchen renovations with Greenberg. Their price might not be the best; however, their service makes it up. For example, we had a hard time to work with structure engineers and the fire sprinkler contractor who are not hired by Greenberg; our project manager, Ginadi contacted them directly and solved the problems to make sure everything keeps up with the schedule. Ginadi is a hard worker, we usually would receive his messages early in the morning or late in the evening in regards with our project, and he is very fast in terms of responding our questions. Nothing ever turns out like you might have expected or hoped in home remodeling. That's why we hired Greenberg Construction and are glad we did. Maor and Luis always stand by their work and are fair when it comes time to make an unexpected change -- and we had many and had to navigate through several problems. Our job was a big one. In the end, we got a complete rebuild of our home from the ground up, doubled its size, and added a second story (a $1M+ job including allowances - we did splurge here and there). We also removed everything but dirt from the front and back yard and had them put in all new landscaping and hardscaping. Maor was just as impatient as we were to get things done on time. And he is very fair. Maor will never cheat you and will always be upfront about what he is getting out of the deal. Remodeling our house was one of the most difficult things we've ever been through.
