When I started thinking about remodeling my condo's bathroom and kitchen, I went through home advisor website. I received multiple calls and visits from contractors who promised to come back to me with a quote. Green Universe was the only one that actually followed through with a reasonable quote that met my expectation both on the cost and timeline. Ozzie was very flexible with my schedule and accommodated last minute changes. I ended up adding additional work and Ozzie and his team were able to accommodate the changes without significant impact to the schedule. The work was done on time and when we did the walkthrough with Ozzie there were no punch list items. Overall Green Universe did an incredible job with my project and I am extremely happy with the outcome. Ozzie is quick to respond to text messages and phone calls and throughout the process gave me regular updates. Green Universe added a new master bedroom in my house, complete with a full bathroom, and new copper piping for the kitchen as well. All of the work including the inspections, went through smoothly and on schedule. Ozzie is a charm and is fun to work with, always comes up with great ideas for functionality and design. I bought a new house and took Green Universe as my construction company after getting so many recommendations. I called Ozzie to remodel my kitchen and master bathroom. Ozzie was very honest and nice, Very professional. He came to give me an estimate, he went over all the expenses and details with me, I felt very secured with Ozzie and his team. Always at work. Mr. Zilberberg's crew were always at work every time we visited the building, with the result that they finished this very complex job involving rewiring, decking, drainage, laundry room upgrade etc. on time and under budget - and at code. I called Ozzie to do all the work at our new house because we knew we could trust him to do what he said and do an excellent job at a fair price. We first selected Ozzie from a group of potential contractors we had vetted as being the most reliable based on the reviews. We started with a complete kitchen remodel with custom cabinets which was $60,000. After that first remodel, we knew we had found a contractor we could trust. He did what he said, when he said and he did it right. Ozzie was always reachable by phone/text/email and he was responsive to any questions or concerns that we had. And if problems occurred (remodeling always has surprises) Ozzie saw to it that things were done right and didn't add a penny to our contract price. The only thing that cost more of course was when WE made changes. Over the next few years, we ended up remodeling all the bathrooms, putting new wood floors, rewiring the entire house (it had very old cloth insulated wires), a new roof, adding a bathroom including walk in closets. So when we had to move somewhat unexpectedly from our old house we knew exactly who to call. So far almost all of the planned work inside our new house has been done. The last stage is building the guest house. The guest house has been framed and they are starting plumbing and electrical now. I can update how that goes, but honestly I've already had so much work done by Ozzie that there's no doubt it will all go well. More...

The work performed by Green Universe company is outstanding. From initial consultation, proposed 3D rendering, to the final execution I could not be happier. They were very patient with the design revisions to create exactly what I was looking for. The 3D skills are amazing, I found it very helpful to be be able to see the finished product before the work began.

Ozzy’s knowledge and guidance in selection of materials and finishes cannot be matched. Flooring, tile, paint, trim; he knows it all.

In 2016 we bought a new house and called Ozzie again to do remodeling and repairing. Work on the new house included:  * Completely remodeled the master bathroom, including combining two smaller master closets into one large one. Moving the closet and bathroom layout to allow for more space and big shower * Installed two new heating and air conditioning units (one set for upstairs and one set for downstairs) * We put in new energy efficient windows everywhere. * New wood floors almost everywhere * Upgraded electrical panel * Found and repaired a very elusive gas leak we found shortly before moving in (and panicked) * New recessed lighting so we could use LED lighting everywhere * Some new doors * Lots of drywall repairs * Painted entire interior of house and exterior trim * Replaced a termite infested/dryrotted pergola type patio cover and replaced it with a much better (and higher) patio cover * We are just beginning the building of a guest house in the backyard Recently we found a leak in an upstairs bathroom (and even though it's a small job, one call to Ozzie and he had someone over to figure out what was happening) Unfortunately this house needed a lot of repairs and upgrades. I just completed the remodeling of the outside of my home. My home was originally built in 1967. I remodeled the inside completely a year and a half ago. In order to give the home a more contemporary look, the outside really required renovation. Ozzie recommended all new smooth stucco, getting the back patio posts, beams and ceiling stuccoed as well. Installing recessed lighting and refurbishing the pool deck. The original windows from 1967 also need replaced. I was very particular about quality and workmanship. I got both. I have worked with Green Universe inc on major repair and renovation projects for 2 different houses. They are outstanding. After working with them, I don't hire anyone else. And I would recommend them whole-heartedly to anyone. Here is specifically what they do an excellent job of:

- Honest and Ethical: More than once when working on a project, they found unforeseen additional issues e.g. rotted wood frame for a window. They could have easily used this as an opportunity to increase the amount they were going to charge me, but never did

- On budget and on-time: They give realistic timeframes and realistic quotes. you can be confident that they're costs will be reasonable, and that they will complete the job when they promise and within budget.

- Great design skills: I actually terminated the services of my architect on a remodeling project because the folks at Green Universe inc had better ideas and all the skills to build 3D designs, architectural plans, and deep knowledge of interior finishings

- Fun people! The company is run by the owner Ozi! it was fun to work wit him, i Trust them. And can always count on them to have my back.!!! More...

my wife and i are in the process of selling our home and just finished the remodeling using Green Universe inc. we did couple of bathrooms, a kitchen, painting inside and out, some structural damage caused by water damage from the upstairs that had to be addressed and a lot of exterior work including car port and driveway.
the guys were profesional and efficient, they worked every day and were very responsive to any questions or information we needed. ozzie helped us visualize how things will look with a 3D design he did and didn't charge us for the hours he spent on it.

We needed someone to come in to correct a large two-story addition to our home that was built completely improperly by a previous contractor. The original work done was so bad that it had also affected major parts of the original home, created major water leakage, etc. Our home was in distress and my wife was pregnant with our second child. We were desperate and our backs were against the wall.

The work done by Oz and his team was immaculate. Not only did he come in and give an incredibly fair and comprehensive quote (i.e. he did NOT take advantage of us financially from the beginning, and he could have), but he went over and above what he included in the quote, and just did what was necessary as he uncovered 'hidden issues' from the previous contractor, and he didn't charge us extra for them.

When we asked for a change that we wanted to the scope, he always tried his utmost to do the best for us in terms of cost and time. This guy literally saved our butts when we needed someone the most, not to mention tens of thousands of dollars. Beyond all of that, the greatest compliment I can give him (and the reason anyone who is considering using him should do it rather than using anyone else), is this guy is honorable. Its in his character, and he puts that before money. He is a consummate professional with incredible knowledge and experience, and an absolutely impeccable conscience. In fact, when he first came onto the job site in our home, he refused to touch or do anything or accept any money from us for the work, until we had assured that there was no mold and everything was remediated completely, as he told us that 'he would never expose his guys to that danger, and it would be just as dangerous for us, especially for a pregnant woman'.

When we were in a very tough situation, he stepped up and took ownership and control of the problems someone else had caused (a difficult and risky proposition), and he just fixed everything for us. I think you would be extremely hard-pressed to find any other contractor with the body of knowledge, experience and character as this man has, and I will never forget what he did for me and my family.

Everyone knows that building/remodeling projects can be stressful and painful. Do your future self a favor and use him. When you look back at your project, you will be glad you did. More...
