They deserve to be a lot higher in the google search results for local wedding photographers! They should be at the number one spot given they have a lot of international recognition and are in the world’s top 35. June 2018 - Matt arrived to photoshoot our wedding. And right upon his arrival, he was in full action shooting every little detail of our day! His way, his aura, his simpleness and happiness made everyone relaxe in front of the camera. During the few weeks before the wedding, where all the final planning is done, they were always answering the same day or at the latest, early the next day. We saw how experienced they are planning the details and time management for photoshooting. They guided us all the time and made us feel confident of our choices.They are far away from the traditional picture taking : pose a, then b, then c.... Matt has such an artistic eye that he looks at what the environnement has to offer for scenery and then improvises shots that are truly pieces of art. Also, he captures every moment of the day, creating a story with the pictures, from the card game in the morning, to the préparations, then the wedding, our buffet, our first dance , our rock and roll dance where my wife's shoe flew away... Looking at the pictures trully brings us back to our day. They have high standards on professionnalism. Super respectfull. At one point, we forgot that Matt was at our wedding, really discret, tries to not be intrusive but always on the go to get that perfect picture. Family members told us Matt was everywhere, always taking a picture from the small details of decoration to the important ring exchange. WOW! I dont know where to start. Matt and Ann were the greatest investment we made for our wedding day plain and simple. They are truly world class photographers. Melanie and I were lucky to have our pre wedding shoot taken by them as well. From the very start, Matt responded all my questions via email and Skype within a day and made us feel comfortable from the start. On our pre wedding shoot my wife and I were both pretty tense due to the large crowd at our location for the shoot but Matt and Ann made jokes and made us feel at ease. It was a joy to work with. Then, on the same night, Matt surprised us with five beautiful teasers of our shoot, were were amazed. Finally, on our wedding day, Matt and Ann again took care of us and was very accommodating to our guests. Until this day, my friends have very good words about Green Tea photography. They specialize in documentary style wedding photography and it was exactly what we were looking for. They did not obstruct in any way on the day of the wedding and caught authentic and pure images. We initially decided to go with Green Tea for our engagement shoot because we loved what we saw of their work online. We really didn't know what to expect as we have never hired photographers before. We were unsure of how things would go, and had a ton of questions about what we should wear, where we should go, what time of day, etc. Mathieu was simply incredible. He video chatted well in advance of the shoot, and put our minds at ease. He is so talented at what he does; not just because he is an incredible artist, but also because he has a personality that is easy to love. The shoot itself was exactly as we wanted it to be, fun and easygoing. Not only did Mathieu capture what we wanted in Ottawa, his creativeness gave us some amazing shots that we would never have thought possible. Getting to know Mathieu during our shoot was such a pleasure. His outlook on love, life and work is so refreshing. Above and beyond is the only way to describe these photographers. We booked Matthieu for a family shoot Jan 15th. The plan was for him to document our home routine then head to the canal for some Beavertails, hot chocolates & family fun. Not only did Matt get belly down on the ice to get the shots he needed but he was very perspicacious in regards to what he needed and communicated it very well. I can't say enough positive things. Kids loved him and we ended our awesome day having some Pho together!!! Do yourself a favour, if you're looking for a creative, artistic, modern photographer, book these guys without hesitation! How I chose GTP was basically typing in parameters and doing an image search. I found all the images I liked and narrowed the images to GTP. I am extremely critical of photographers who say they are good. I wanted beyond great. Mat was a pleasure to deal with and we liked his style. The engagement session blew us out of the water. He has a very keen eye and was quite excited when he nailed the shots. His partner Ann joined us for the wedding shoot and she was equally as talented. I have only seen one shot so far from the wedding and they nailed it. I would highly recommend GTP to anyone as I have only positives to offer. We met Matt and Ann at a wedding they were shooting and were impressed with their work ethic. At that point, we already knew of Green Tea Photography but our observations confirmed that we wanted to work with them for our maternity shoot. We worked with Matt on the maternity shoot in Wakefield and we were amazed at his enthusiasm and dedication. Leading up to the shoot there was some uncertainty with the logistics at the location but Matt was great at staying in touch, even though he was on a family trip out of the country at the time. We would have no hesitation in hiring them again for another shoot and would recommend them to anyone looking for a classy, creative, and professional shoot.
