Kat was absolutely fabulous to work with. From the beginning she was easy to stay in touch with, and she had a lot of great ideas about our different options for our first look, places for group photos, or places we could do our mini love shoot. We planned our Montana wedding from Minnesota, and it was such a relief to work with Kat, who knew all the great places for photos and felt comfortable trying several different locations. Kat gave us great tips on how to stand, place your arms, hands, etc and the photos look GREAT. Even our families loved Kat and thought she was great at directing the chaos of our 20 person family. Kat was very easy going and made sure we knew that whatever we wanted on our big day, she would make it happen. Kat was absolutist wonderful and we plan to work with her in the future! Although we live in Minnesota, we loved Kat so much that when we decide to have tiny humans, we plan to travel back to Montana just to work with Kat again! She is absolutely the best in the area, and most importantly she brings so much life to her work and being in the moment with her clients, that it truly is reflected as special life moments captured in photos! 10/5 recommend Kat! We went with Green Kat Photography as our wedding photographer and also  for  a combined "love" and action shot ski session - and were beyond pleased with the entire experience. First, in regards to the wedding gig, Kat was great at communication from the beginning - which was key since we were planning a destination wedding. She was great over the phone and listened well as we described our wedding plans. Our second day in Whitefish, Kat met with us as we went over the wedding day schedule in greater detail and she made the effort to really understand us - and the wedding party- individuals, which I think is evidenced by her photography. The day of went very smoothly and she was great at having us feel comfortable and natural - and during the actual ceremony and reception she was so unobtrusive - I didn't even notice she was there! All that being said, the final products - the wedding day photographs - are beyond phenomenal. Her use of depth of field, uncanny ability to snap great candids, and talent in showcasing personality within each photograph make her a great professional to work with. Her turnaround time for the photos was also very quick and I loved that she posted a "sneak peak" album of the wedding on Facebook in less than one week after the wedding! Not only did we appreciate it - but all our friends and family did too.In regards to our "love" and action shot ski session, we had a fun afternoon at Big Mountain skiing around and doing some action and couple poses. Again, felt really natural and was a lot of fun. The turnaround from this photo session was extremely fast - in less that 48 hours after the session on the mountain she posted the whole album! Kat is PHENOMENAL- enough said. We are firm believers that there are no such things as coincidences and that things happen for a reason. We posted on Facebook to our friends if anybody knew any good photographers to shoot our wedding. Kat mentioned she knew of a good one that would be happy to fly to Chicago to shoot our wedding. We had seen her work on the web and thought it was wonderful so we decided to give her a call. Kat’s passion for photography and life in general was present from our first phone call. We actually didn't meet up in person until the day before our wedding when she flew all the way to Chicago for us! Kat came over to shoot our "love session". Honestly, "love" was the last thing on our minds. It was a rainy cold day and we had so many last minute things to do and "little fires" to put out everywhere. But when Kat arrived, her timing, patience, and understanding could not be more perfect. She grabbed us, our dog Wrigley, and an umbrella and took us out in the rain for our photo shoot. What followed was exactly what we needed- a much needed break where we could just let loose, be ourselves, and embrace why we were doing this whole "marriage" thing in the first place. Kat's Magic carried on through our wedding day and night. She was always there to get the right shots and at the right angles. Never being too bossy and always welcoming advice. Kat comes HIGHLY recommended by us as an outstanding photographer that will be professional, yet "real" with you.
