My husband and I engaged Brad Sandler to help sell our house not really knowing what to expect (and not expecting much as a previous experience selling my father's home was not at all satisfactory). Really, we thought, what do seller's agents do anyway except bring offers and find a title company to close the sale? Is it worth the cost?I am happy to share that all agents are not alike.  Brad was actively engaged from day one.  He truly added value to the process:  Initially he walked me through the obtuse contracts (his own and the buyers') step by step and made the unintelligible understandable.  He outlined what he would do to get information out and to generate interest in the sale of the house.  (Take pictures, prepare a video, open houses, etc.) More importantly, he listened to us regarding what we hoped to accomplish and our time line.  We were not disappointed.  For instance, when it came time to negotiate around the results of the 'professional inspection,' he did the heavy lifting and brought us a reasonable plan with no haggling or nit picking.  Brad was our advocate and we always felt he was on our side.  When it came time to close, as luck would have it, the closing date to sell our place was the same as the closing date for buying our new home -- in another state.  Brad came up with a plan such that we could close on both homes on the same day -- and the plan worked!I honestly don't know what we would have done without his help and expertise.  I felt like we had a partner watching our backs throughout the entire process.  I recommend Brad and Green Door without reservation. When we started our house buying journey, we had conversations with multiple realtors and it was night and day - the other realtors talked and assumed and pushed and Brad listened, suggested, and asked questions. As first time home buyers entering a competitive market, we anticipated a difficult and stressful experience. Brad made it as simple as possible and made our concerns his concerns. When we found properties we liked, he was transparent about his views on the property and the area, steering us away from ones that looked good on paper but had issues that would come up during resale. My home-buying experience this time around was great, largely due to working with Paris. She took the time and care necessary to understand my needs and desires to find the perfect home for me. She responded timely to my questions and in getting information on properties of interest, and was able to efficiently set up tours. As we looked at places, because she remembered the things that were important to me, she helped me think about things in each house that would or would not work for me. From the first email to closing day on my new home Jonathan has been nothing but stellar! He responds to any/all communications at any time on any day within minutes. He was super easy to work with and very knowledgeable. He was able to get the FIRST house I put an offer on under contract quickly and at my first asking price with no negotiation, the house had multiple cash offers and we still got it (even with traditional financing). On top of that I was able to get $5k in concessions (which in this market is unheard of). This is my fourth home purchase and by far my best home buying experience. Buying a home is an extremely daunting process, and in our case, it was even more so due to the fact that we had just moved across the country to live in an area we had only previously visited once. Luckily, we were connected with Jon Mottern, who not only assuaged all our fears of the unknown, but also got us excited about the process. Jon is extremely well-versed in the Denver market and when we told him what we were looking for, he crafted a search that only yielded the results that were suitable to us. On occasion, when I found something outside those parameters, he was always willing to discuss it while still being honest about how it would or would not meet our needs. At no point during this process did I feel any pressure from Jon to make a decision. He was always available to take us on tours and on more than one occasion when walking in a home, he could tell by the look on my face that it just wasn't right, and he insisted that we not waste our time. When you know, you know - and Jon is a big proponent of that follow your instinct school of thought, which I truly appreciated. It didn't matter how many homes we immediately turned down on sight, he always had another option for us, so I never felt like our back was against the wall. When we were really ready to get serious about making an offer, Jon was prepared. He met us the day after returning from his vacation in Paris, jet lagged yet still completely motivated and ready to put our needs first! That Sunday we fell in love with a home and he immediately got to work on writing an offer that we were comfortable with so we could submit it that night. He also gave us his honest opinion about the home and what he thought might make it difficult for resale down the road, which I sincerely appreciated. I never got the impression that he was just in it for the sale but instead felt genuinely taken care of throughout the whole process, knowing he had our best interest in mind. Jon truly puts his clients first - he was in constant contact with us, even while on vacation, and wanted to make sure that the home we ended up in would be exactly what we wanted. Thanks to his negotiation skills, we were able to attain a credit from the seller and go under contract $10k under list price! I could not recommend him more! We worked with Paris to both Sell and Buy our homes. We got our home up and ready to sell within a week of our first meeting with Paris, she was very clear on the steps we need to take to get the property ready for listing. What we really appreciated as a part of the selling process, is that Paris brought her team with Green Door Living to view the property and give feedback individually on a fair listing price and what should be done to the property to get top dollar. We followed this advice and were under-contract within 36 hours!

From there, Paris took us through with great care the closing on the sale and then focusing our efforts on buying a new home. She helped us weigh our wants and needs to fully understand our priorities, and we found the house of our dreams.

Paris is diligent in walking her clients through the sticky details of buying and selling, she makes it easy to understand and does a great job of guiding but not telling.

Jon Mottern is an exceptionally good realtor and I look forward to referring my friends his way in the future. I first talked to Jon about looking for a home on 9/21/16, and I closed exactly a month later. His negotiation skills and responsiveness with the seller's agent helped us get an offer accepted quickly while successfully avoiding a bidders war with other potential buyers. Jon was also able to negotiate a new roof, a few repairs, and a sellers concession on a very desirable home, which is remarkable in a sellers market such as Denver.
