Green Cal state Construction, I can't speak to the quality of their work, but they responded to my inquiry within hours, were very clear on what work they do and don't do, and offered to come give me a quote on the part of the work they do. Unfortunately, for my particular project, I need a contractor who does retaining walls, Caisson for a new constraction as well as residential construction, and there is no way to split the project up. Ron was great to work with. He was very responsive and easy to get a hold of, came in on the budget and time frame he proposed, and best of all honest. This review is long overdue. My husband and I got bids from three different companies before we came across Green CalState Construction and we are SO PLEASED that we hired them! We needed 26 windows including sliding doors replaced in our home. Starting with the bid that he came and gave us he was so friendly, professional, straight shooter and actually took the time to explain and walk me through what exactly would be done to each window. As younger, first time homeowners we felt that he truly respected our wishes and helped educate us on different types of windows and what he suggested would work best for our home.

We were very satisfied with the services provided by this company. This went as smoothly as a renovation service can go - from the first meeting with estimator to discuss our goals and budget for the renovation to the execution, led by project manager, who was excellent. We had several revisions to the project along the way and they were always very accommodating and responsive. The commercial contractors that worked at our house were not only competent, but also trustworthy. We still have some work to do at the house and look forward to hiring them again. More...

From the start, we spoke with several commercial contractors. And they came out and spent more time in helping gather facts to provide a more solid estimate. This was one factor in our decision to go with them. We spent a good amount of time narrowing down the details to get to a final quote. We made some personal choices that might have been different than others would choose. We were provided an overall timeline which to me felt optimistic. The project started as scheduled and moved quickly. Every day was something new. In the end the project was completed on time. We've hired three different contractors in the past three years - these guys are the best. We have another bathroom to finish in the near future and we'll go with Green CalState Construction for that project too (as long as they match the value we expect, of course! :)

Crew are top notch. He came recommended by a friend in the real estate business so I knew he would be reputable.
We dormered the roof and added 4 rooms and a bathroom in the loft area. His estimate of time was spot on. The work was quality. The price was good also.

Today we met again with him, a Project Manager for Green CalState Construction, this time to sign a contract to use them for our full-home renovation. Several details of the meeting confirmed that we have chosen the right company and project manager for this job. He first reviewed the scope of the job, walking through our house with us again, asking questions, listening to our ideas and preferences, and suggesting a few options to address functional problems that concerned us. Following that, he thoroughly prepared us for what to expect. He first covered cost estimates, breaking it down in detail, then moved on to a description of the phases of the project; the approximate timeline, what would occur in that phase, and who would be working with us.
This company is very well-organized. Charts allow us to record details of our selection of items needed for a particular room. Other forms provide contact info for suppliers or cover in writing the scope, stages, and payment schedule that he had reviewed with us, in addition to a copy of the contract and a packet containing copies of contractors license, contractors license detail, and certificate of liability insurance.

Green CalState Construction team remodeled my kitchen. I had high expectations and they fully exceeded them. I work from home and was in one half of the house while they worked in the other half. They were extremely respectful and made a consistent effort to keep dust and debris from entering my work space. That's in addition to them doing great work, on budget, and on schedule.
My favorite things about Green CalState Construction:
1. Their work was excellent. They have great attention to detail.
2. Full-time project managers were on top of every tile supplier, subcontractor, possible conflict, etc. so that I didn't have to worry about anything delaying the project. They picked everything up and delivered it to the house for me.
3. They have discounts with various suppliers that they passed on to me, saving me thousands of dollars.
4. They didn't exceed their initial estimate.
5. They completed the project on schedule.

Our family interviewed a couple of contractors to help us remodel our guesthouse. From the start, James came with a professional and exciting energy that made us feel comfortable with going with Green Cal state construction . James was upfront about what he thought was possible/safe and you knew he was paying attention because he always brings a pad full of notes on the project! Although Green Cal was not the lowest quote, we appreciated the reasonable, itemized and thorough estimate!For this particular project, we had our guesthouse's kitchen, flooring, and bathroom redone. The remodel looks immaculate! The best part about working with James and Green Cal state was their dedication to quality and speed (it was not one or the other). I've worked with other contractors and they were NEVER on schedule. I was shocked at how quickly they moved through the house. However, I also really appreciated James dedication to quality. Our piping was completely outdated and James automatically updated the piping because his team didn't feel comfortable with the old piping (I LOVE THAT!) On top of that, James was great about communicating timelines, expectations, and questions with me. I'm usually at work during business hours so James was great through e-mail and text which I really needed to complete this project.With any project there can always be hiccups. James and team never try to deflect blame or make excuses. I think this is extremely important and speaks volumes to their character. James always tries to make all things right. Best construction experience! The quote was laid out and easy to understand. I received 3 quotes for the project. Every quote was around the same number, but this was the only construction company that laid out the work to fit the budget. This made me very optimistic that we would stay on budget and we did! Got my A/c ,Roof, and solar system installed around August 2017
Contacted the company and got immediate great depression by the office they were very helpful and. accommodating Answered all my questions and we made an appointment to meet A representative came and set down with us and explain everything that needs to be done and recommended all kinds of very good ideas which confirmed my good feeling about working with them .I did end up signing a contract for all three items I mentioned which were in the top of my wish list. The workers started the roof on Thursday then the AC was installed as well both of these projects were done throughout the weekend about three days !! inspection came on Monday and passed then the solar guys were installing the panels and the system the same day Monday by Tuesday everything was up and running ....talking about 4 or 5 days !!! Ron is one of the hardest working people I've every met. He will treat you like you are the number one priority in his life. If you are shopping for estimates from different contractors, stop wasting your time. The biggest regret I have is not finding Ron sooner and signing a contract with him sooner.
I had my kitchen remodeled. I am so happy with the outcome and can't believe how beautiful my kitchen is now. Ron completed my kitchen in just under two and a half weeks. I needed an immediate estimate for roof repair and was considering on getting some landscaping done. I came across a few construction / home improvement companies that seemed reliable, but ended up going with Green Calstate Construction because of their true dedication! I must say, they were extremely patient with me every step of the way through this lengthy process. I never would have thought I could get my crappy driveway fixed. Oh Lordy, let me tell y'all, Green Calstate hooked a Sister up. I had a difficult time finding someone to come to my place and give me a "FREE" estimate. Most companies said they would only come out from a certain mile radius of their business to give me a free quote.I eventually got some free estimates. But, it seemed some of these folks' contractor licenses weren't in order or expired. I reviewed them on Yelp, Google, and the Better Business Bureau.I made the decision to contact Green Calstate for an estimate. I asked them if there was a certain mile radius from their business they'd come out to. They told me they cover most of Los Angeles county as well as other areas too.They came ON TIME to provide the free estimate. They didn't waste my time dawdling about. They provided me with a great price after taking measurements of my driveway, showing me samples, color charts, etc.I asked for a custom design in the driveway (a compass), they asked me why, I said: "Cause I'm always getting lost".They started work immediately, took their time to get the job done right the first time, and continuously kept me updated on the project and consulted me whenever they had any questions. They completed the driveway project ON TIME.I HIGHLY recommend this company to everyone and my PEEPS. OMG!!! Hiring Green Calstate Construction for a bathroom remodeling at my home was one of the best decisions I have made.
