Sergey is amazing, he did our wedding at the end of August and the photos are better than we could have imagined. Nothing was too ridiculous(even photos in dominos and photoshops of dinosaurs). His documentary style photography made the photos natural and he managed to capture moments we would have never seen otherwise. We would highly reccomend Sergey as a photographer, hes very professional and had us laughing all day. Top guy all round! More...

Lovely little snug, with great views and an extra bonus of a hot tub, even with true Scottish weather we still had a great time! The stars really do come out at night. Will definitely look to return! Honestly can’t recommend this place enough! The Sea View Snugs are amazing. We stayed in the “Harbour Hideaway”, the decor was beautiful, it was spotless and the view was unreal. Loved the little touches like the biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge. Had a lovely breakfast at the Basecamp Cafe before we headed off in the morning as well and the staff were lovely. I was the live wedding artist at Kieran and Eilidh's wedding on 7th September 2019. GG's Yard is a beautiful venue which succeeds in being cosy and spacious all at the same time with friendly, helpful staff and a great wedding atmosphere. It's idyllically located with commanding views of the Dumfries & Galloway coastline. There are many cosy corners with sofas and soft chairs, and wood-burning stoves add extra cosiness. The wedding dinner was delicious with individual beef joints delivered to each table for carving. Sergey photographed our wedding day and we knew from the first meeting with him that he was the photographer for us!! It is so clear that he has such a huge passion for what he does and he is incredibly talented. Sergey is professional, has a great sense of humour and will go the extra mile and more. We are just over the moon with our photos, he has captured the day better than we could ever have imagined. We love his documentary style, it was exactly what we were looking for and he was so flexible to fit in and accommodate our requests. It was a real pleasure to have him as part of our day and the guests all commented on how friendly and great he was. Sergey was an amazing photographer to have on our big day! He got so many shots that will allow us to remember how much fun we had and he added to fun! He was so funny and fit right in with everyone at the wedding. I love his editing style which feels like old vintage which is exactly what I was going for! Accommodation is fantastic. We stayed in The Ben, the decor was beautiful, spotless & the view was amazing. On site facilities were great. restaurant/cafe served good quality snacks and food. the staff were friendly and really helpful. I would highly recommend this place. We had our wedding at GG's in February and it was absolutely perfect. The staff are so friendly and helpful and really made us feel at ease. The venue itself is absolutely stunning - those views!! Just back from our second stay at GG’s yard and absolutely loved it once again! We stayed in The Hive for two nights. It’s beautifully decorated, as are all of them, it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The views are absolutely breathtaking! We also done the zip wire, which we all loved. We had an amazing wedding at GGs Yard in June this year and cannot recommend the venue highly enough. From the moment we visited GGs Yard as a potential venue, we knew we had found the ideal location for our special day. Vicki and the team are exceptional at what they do. Everything linked to the wedding and overal guest experience has been thought through and executed at the highest possible standard. The food was to such a high standard, that most of our guests were still talking about it days afterwards! The venue interior and location speaks for itself. Every good thing you hear about this place is true. The venue speaks for itself in terms of splendour and class but it’s the staff and family that truly makes this place special. Every single person was a delight to liaise with for our wedding, each an expert in their respective fields. GG’s Yard, we cannot thank you enough! �

We had a clear vision in our minds of what we wanted our wedding day to be like, having dreamt about this day for so long. GG’s Yard surpassed all of our expectations with just how beautiful the venue was and how seamless and professional the service was.

From first meeting Vicki and Jackie at a Newcastle Wedding Fair, before the venue was even built, we really felt that GG’s Yard shared our vision. So much so that we scrapped our plans for a wedding abroad in favour of a wedding in Scotland, a decision we are so beyond glad that we made.

Every single member of staff that we dealt with were extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. You can really feel the passion they have to get things right and ensure every single detail is exactly how you want them.

GG’s Yard is such a “blank canvas” so you can make it exactly the way you want... but what a stunning canvas it is! We feel so honoured that we got to spend our special day in such a beautiful venue. Anyone considering getting married here... DO IT! You won’t regret it.
