Great Harvest is as close as we can get to an old world bakery. Not only do they bake from scratch but they make the flour by grinding the grain. Amazing! Their sour dough bread is sinful and the chala never lasts long in our house. More...

Terri Burdick's team at Great Harvest are wonderful to work with! They make some of the best baked goods hands down. We are so excited at the chance to partner with them, and our staff absolutely loves their Apple Cider Cinnamon Chip muffins made for us using our cider!

If you are into fresh baked bread, this is the place to go to. I'm having one of their egg sandwich's now and it's awesome.
For lunch they also make great deli sandwiches.
But that's not it. The staff are very friendly and if you want to sample some bread, they'll give you a full slice.

I’ve been looking for a good bakery in Champaign for a while and this place is killer. They let you try samples of their bread. They have a neon sign lit up when the bread is out of the oven fresh. Wide variety of breads, toppings, spread and other locally produces goodies.I’m not one to leave reviews but this place was so good that more people should know More...

I don't know what they put in their bread but it almost never starts to grow mold. This is great for me since a loaf of bread usually lasts over a week. All their bread is delicious. I like that you can get it as a whole loaf or sliced. The staff is always fast and friendly. They also have generous samples so that you know exactly what you want. Some time I want to try their pastries as well. More...

Underrated spot to pick up a quick lunch. Be sure to ask for a sample of bread as they give generous portions.

Great bread! Honest about carbs (they call their lower-carb bread "carb-aware" rather than "low-carb"). Honest about gluten (they grind their own whole wheat flour in house, so everything in the store likely has gluten in it).
One small way they're wonderful: They call the people who just come in for free samples off the breadboard and never buy anything "Breadboard Angels."

Free smells are better than Jimmy John's. Friendly staff. I suggest going on Wednesday so you can grab a sample of their Cinnamon Roll bread
