I'm in the city once a month on business and this was my first time at Great Full Gardens...I will 100% be back! I have a dairy allergy and they were cautious and kind enough to label my food with a toothpick as to not contaminate it. I miss hollandaise sauce so much, but they make theirs with a vegan butter! Does 10 stars exist?Yelped this place and went for lunch yesterday with a few members of my family. We were SO impressed with the service, atmosphere and the quality of the food (loved my wasabi bowl! ), that we went back for breakfast this morning with the rest of the clan and what a fantastic experience! We walked in and were greeted immediately by a warm, inviting staff that was super accommodating to our party of 8. The menu is just as eclectic as the decor, so we had a few questions about the fair being offered. Our waiter was very attentive and on point knowledgeable, which was a terrific help. He even made sure that my 2 year old nephew had special covered little cups for his milk and juice. I ordered the matcha green tea latte with coconut milk and a frittata with organic tempeh, spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes--absolutely delicious! My family thoroughly enjoyed their choices as well--the fabulous waffles, eggs and uncured bacon, breakfast tacos, oatmeal and more! Stellar service and outstanding fair! Although the prices are just a tad high, the quantity is generous and more than fair. Because it's "healthy" the food does taste a bit bland but it's rather refreshing. The service is great.Parking is usually a nightmare with cars inching back and forth trying to navigate the limited space. More...

I had these potatoes they made last year that were cut small and had paprika and other spices on them. They were SOOOO good that I brought my virgin burner here for a pre-burn pump up. They didn't make their potatoes the same anymore, but when I asked what happened, the chef recreated the potatoes from last year for me! The were just as delicious!!! We were served by Lea, she is awesome. She answered questions and had a great attitude. The food was amazing and if you have never tried them, try the waffles. I am not a waffle fan and I ate all of this waffle. Every this is organic and they have plenty of gluten free options as well as paleo. This review is more about an eye witness account of yesterday's internal business practice amongst the hectic morning breakfast crowd, not that my 3 GF pancakes weren't stunningly delish, because they were. As i sat alone to order and then await for it to arrive, i was able to absorb the scurry of employees dashing about clearing a table or two, welcoming fresh patrons of the day with smile enriched faces only to have a warm calm come over me as i witness staff cleaning chairs, no, not just wipe the seat off and go to the next one, but rather from hands n knees on the floor cleaning each leg, back, support posts of each chair..........needless to say i had to pick my bottom jaw up from the floor. You want yummy fresh food head here! I was first introduced in college, they have one on the UNR campus. Found this one in Midtown and HAD TO STOP IN. Sure enough the food is continues to be made to perfection. I always leave feeling satisfied and "healthy" full, not tired and stuffed full.... I've been coming here for YEARS! They never disappoint and have the best options for Vegan food! Everyone is Crazy kind and awesome at both midtown and south Reno! Don't read any of the negative yelp reviews those people have had ONE bad experience and I've had nothing but good! Make sure to Try the Cheesy Bruchetta, Jackfruit soft tacos or the jackfruit bbq sandwich!!!!! Full Disclosure: I prefer to eat Vegan. Anyways, over the years Grateful Gardens has been hit or miss for different reasons but being an organic vegan friendly restaurant I have come back from time to time. Recently in the last couple months the food, the staff and the price has been just right (if you're smart about it). But today, I received amazing Vegan Pancakes with berries substituted for the apples that I had to write this down. I've heard a lot of great things about this place but I've never ordered from here and I'm sad it took me this long! We ordered for our office and I got the tuna melt with a cup of tomato soup. When our food arrived to the office they had our names on the boxes (which is a big plus when ordering for 12 people, leaves no room for any confusion) with a cute saying. The sandwich came with a little green salad and you can add a cup of soup for an additional charge. I don't usually order tuna melts but I thought I'd give it a try and I don't regret it - very tasty and filling. The menu itself is a bit pricey but worth it. I can't wait to try the pupusas next. This lovely cafe was the fifth stop on my recent Reno Food Tour. This location is tucked in a little and unassuming strip mall in Midtown. Even the decor is uplifting and refreshing--just like the food. This stop in my tour provided a sample of their tomato soup and a small portion of the warm kale salad. I've honestly never had kale in salad form, so I was initially a bit hesitant about it. However, the salad has dried cranberries, slivered almonds, shredded beets, and a tasty dressing. Plus, it was warm! The toppings really helped calm the strong flavor of the kale, but it was still strong enough to be enjoyed. The tomato soup was also a great complement.
