My husband and I can’t say enough good things about Gourmet Chef at your Table. We worked closely with Chrissy during the evaluation process and Chrissy was by and far the most responsive and detailed-oriented compared to other vendors we were communicating with. It made our decision very easy early on. Now the food and service - we had a small 40-person wedding and we are pretty sure every single person told us how incredible their food was. The beef and chicken were both so incredible and all the food served was HOT and so fresh tasting. I have been to so many weddings and this was by far the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding (of course I’m biased giving it was our wedding). We told our wedding planner, Laura Olsen, that we wanted our guests to feel like they were eating a wonderful meal in a fine restaurant - and Gourmet Chef At Your Table delivered! The food was incredible - cooked to perfection, flavourful, beautifully plated, ideal temperature! They accommodated our guests being able to select their own appetizer, entree and dessert. Chrissy was our main point person for our wedding in Toronto last month and man did they knock it out of the park! We had the chicken, salmon and vegetarian for our guests and everything was cooked perfectly. Our guests were very impressed with the food and the whole experience working with the team was seamless. They were so accommodating when we needed assistance, made suggestions on how to make the dishes better and were extremely professional. My partner and I were looking for a caterer for our wedding this summer and found Gourmet Chef at Your Table online. Chrissy was prompt to answer all our questions, was very helpful and friendly, and even offered suggestions to our menu choices, so we decided to book a tasting. Their tasting room was undergoing renovations at the time, so their team offered to come to our home to cook for us. The food was amazing! Our family Christmas Party was absolutely phenomenal because of Gourmet Chef at your Table!! Chrissy was awesome helping me plan for 24 people. Bob and his team were amazing in the kitchen. Britt and Randy were our incredible servers, especially with the small children. Our experience with Bob and his team was top notch! Dealing with the Chrissy, the administrator, was a great experience. She was quick to answer any questions and helped to tailor our dinner party to suit our needs . They team arrived right on time to setup to prepare the food in our home. Bob, Noah and Maggie got right to work and made our table look sparkling with my own dishes. Everyone raved about all the courses of food that were served. The three appetizers we chose were delicious, as well as the soup. My main course of salmon was very good and my husband's beef tenderloin choice not regretted. Gourmet Chef at Your Table was unknown to me prior to our event and I found it via a google search and am I ever glad. We had a dinner for 8 in our home and from start to finish, it was a pleasure dealing with everyone at this organization. Chrissy made the planning easy and her suggestions really enhanced the evening. The day of the party, Noah, our chef, and Britt, our server, arrived and were professional and so warm and friendly. Noah prepared an absolutely amazing meal for us. Both the "foodies" and those who want to feel full were satisfied by the perfectly prepared and beautifully presented meal. One of our guests commented that the meal was Michelin quality...high praise indeed! Wow, where do I start. Bob from day one was so easy to deal with. My husband and I put a big importance on food for our wedding and Gourmet Chef did not let us down. Chrissy answered all our emails and ensured everything we required and requested was met. The food was perfect from cocktail hour to our late night. All our guests were so impressed, it made us feel great. We even got comments from our other vendors that it was the best wedding food they’ve had. The food (beef, chicken, and a vegan dish) exceeded each guests expectations and each dish was cooked to perfection, despite there being over 150 dishes to serve. We just had the pleasure of working with Bob and his team at the Century Wedding Barn. This is by far the best caterer we have had out to our venue for a very long time. Bob was very organized, his team was helpful and friendly and the guests had only good things to say about their meal. Bob even provided the bartenders. We hired Gourmet Chef for our wedding on June 25th. Chrissy was wonderful in helping plan the wedding food plan with us. But ultimately she over promised and under delivered when it was time to show up. On the wedding day: Her team was disorganized, did not complete the agreed to tasks/set up and other people including the bridal party had to pick up the slack. There is too much to re-cap but below are some of the issues that happened. Her staff arrived 1.5 hour late so our day of wedding planner had to react and set tables, they opened the bar before the ceremony despite her knowing that was not what we told her we wanted. This caused a huge mess of used glasses that she did not clean. This was the first thing we noticed as we ended the ceremony. She was to place bespoke wine bottles on each table - she did not. She was to pour glasses of drinks to be ready for our guests after the ceremony- we paid for 100 extra glasses, she had about 30 ready. She was to set up our tables with prosecco and put regular was to get the tables set up with candles and candles, and many other tasks that were agreed to by the company before hand however never completed or was extremely late and slow getting the tasks completed. The food also was served an hour after it was expected. And to make it all worse- when we talked to her and Chef Bob afterwards about our disappointment she understood and apologized. She said that we would be compensated with another event of prepared by her as a second chance. The size of the "party" was for 2-4 people but to us this was not helpful and we asked that she just provide us with the monetary value of the hours staff were late and not working which we paid for. we have not received a response back with several follow ups weeks later. Cannot say enough good things about my experience with them. The food was incredibly tasty, even my chef friends were so impressed! The beef was so tender you could cut it with a butter knife. On top of that, they did an amazing job cleaning up my kitchen afterwards! And the serving staff were so friendly and professional. Big shout out to Randy for being so helpful with my mother, who requires a walker. He was an absolute doll with her, so considerate. Everything was above and beyond expectation and made the day that much more memorable for us. The food was incredible, all of the guests were raving about how delicious everything was. Their attention and care to ensure my dietary restrictions were met was beyond thoughtful. The entire team was so helpful, friendly and extremely kind. They even hunted me down throughout the night with little plates just for me and made sure I had enough to eat. The midnight snacks were a hit and kept the party going. Not only did everything taste amazing, the presentation was gourmet. We are still mind blown they were able to make everything work in our tiny home for 65 guests and left the place spotless. There a not enough words to describe how pleased I am with Chef Bob and his incredible team! We had him cater a family wedding and as with all things COVID plans were continually changing and Bob was more than accommodating and willing to adjust to the ever-ongoing daily changes that came up. He was incredibly easy to communicate with and was very prompt with reply’s and answering any and all the questions we had. With regards the food, it truly was nothing short of exceptional! To this day the guests have raved about the meal served and have continually said that they've never had a better beef tenderloin. In fact all of the food from the hor d'oeuvres, to the entrees to the deserts, everything was delectable and so skillfully prepared. Not only did the food beyond exceed our expectations but the servers and the level of professionalism of Bobs team was very impressive and we couldn’t have been more pleased. I can say with 110% certainty that the service we were provided by Bob was truly unmatched. We hired The Gourmet Chef at Your Table team to provide an intimate in-home dinner party. From the initial contact, to the event concluding, everything was exceptional. The event was easily organized with Chrissy, who is very pleasant to work with. A few e-mails and a couple of phone calls, and our dinner menu and event date were set. They have excellent menu offerings, with many options to choose from. They are welling to adjust menu items based on your needs and desires. On the event date, they brought absolutely everything they needed, and at the conclusion, they took everything away and left the kitchen spotless. Looking back on my wedding day, there are many things that went exactly as I had hoped and expected and some things that I would have done differently. I can say without a doubt that hiring Bob was the single best decision I made during the entire wedding process and he greatly exceeded my expectations. From the day I reached out to him until the day of my wedding he was extremely attentive, organized, helpful, kind, professional, genuine and caring.
