Love having dinner at Gourmeltz when visiting our family in Spotsylvania. Great food~ great atmosphere ~ and one of our favorite nephews works there.

If you're looking for a gourmet style grilled cheese sandwich than look no further. This place is so worth it. They also have salads, chicken wings, tater tots, so much more.  The guy taking our ordering was very warm, welcoming. He realized it was our first time, went over the menu, gave us recommendations. Food: Upon a few favorite sandwiches that were mentioned I ordered the Caprese. I was thoroughly satisfied. I also ordered the Sweet potato tater tots. Wow! They were nice and golden in color, very flavorful, not too oily. I was sitting in my chair happy as can be. The homemade ranch added a great touch to the meal. I love ranch. Drinks: I was impressed that they had a variety of beers on tap that's self served. They also have a refrigerator full of chilled glasses specifically for the beers amongst other alcoholic beverages you can have made. Theirs a cocoa cola machine, a few other condiments. Fantastic place to eat! Lunch was delicious! We had the brisket sandwich and the BBQ sandwich and they were both amazing! We also recommend the cucumber salad as a side and that you finish your meal with the funnel cake fries ! Outstanding melts!  Huge slices of Texas toast sized bread stuffed with almost every imaginable type of meat, and cheese combination. I was so pleasantly surprised at how many options there were. Top that off with craft beer, several tv's jamming some serious rock-n-roll and you've got a grilled cheese bistro from heaven. The ONLY downfall of this place is that it isn't in Virginia Beach or Hampton. We stopped here while passing through town. he restaurant was clean, the service was great and the food was awesome.  I got the Chicken and Waffle melt which came covered in a syrup. It was very messy but very tasty.

Ohhhhhhh.Emmmmmmmm.Ggggggggg. How cool this place is! Just needed a quick bite to eat and stumbled upon here.Thank goodness for yelp! !! Always tasty, always friendly service. Let's be honest, it should be hard to mess up a grilled cheese but many places manage to screw it up. Gourmeltz makes damn good grilled cheese sandwiches and their old bay tots are more addictive than nicotine or crack. I can't speak to the meat grilled cheese sandwiches because meat is murder, but the vegetarian ones are great. What a pleasant surprise to find this place on the way home from Alexandria. So glad we decided to wait until we reached Fredericksburg to eat. I saw the sign for Gourmeltz from Rt. 1 and immediately went to the website to check out the menu. All of the sandwiches sounded great and I was also drawn in by the smoked wings. The space is large, open, clean and bright. There's a nice sized patio that will be great when the temperature finally drops from the 90's. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with warm, friendly smiles. Always a plus! We ordered and paid at the counter and they gave us a number to sit on the table, where they delivered the food as soon as it was ready. The portions are HUGE and so very delicious. I grew up on grilled cheese sandwiches and these offerings are like the adult version of those. The Hawaiian was my absolute favorite - ham, pineapple, melty cheese - omg! You can make any sandwich a combo for a small additional fee, which gets you a drink and a side. I had the cucumber salad (loved it!) and he had old bay honey tots - yummmm! The smoked wings are giant and they're cooked perfectly! Crispy outside and hot & juicy under that beautiful skin. I couldn't pass up funnel cake fries, so we took an order to go and snacked on those the rest of the ride home. The perfect sweet treat after a comforting meal! This was delicious!! My first time eating here and the customer in line ahead of us, turned and ran down the menu to us with excitement and joy. ..we knew we were in for something yummy...we were not disappointed! The menu is huge, so be prepared and be hungry! This isn't just a regular grilled cheese place, although they do have them, but these are Mega grilled cheese! I ordered a "Southern BBQ", My "grilled cheese" had pulled BBQ pork, Mac and Cheese, chedder cheese on a buttery toasted bread and I got Old Bay Seasoned tater tots! This has to be one of my favorite restaurants in Fredericksburg.  The best gourmet grilled cheese around.  They definitely don't lack for variety either.  Boasting many different options.  They just introduce a new brunch sandwich, containing chorizo, bacon, ham and an over medium egg held together with rich melted cheese with a sweet strawberry spread between two wonderful pieces of French toast. This place Never disappoints! Came tonight with my family. My son and I shared 10 wings and the fiesta burger. Wings were soooo good! ! We had the mild buffalo bourbon sauce and the honey old bay. I Simply love this spot. Its cute, different and I love the menu. I was fasting from the meat at the moment so they had a lot of tasty options that met my dietary needs. I ordered the mushroom, and the Philly like one (cant remember the name of it), I always got the sweet potato tots with it. I love the decor. I tried to order an item from the menu, not realizing that I was looking at a GourMeltz menu in Nevada. They called me back and custom made the sandwich for me, even though it wasn't on their menu. Yum. Yum. Yum. Ordered the fiesta melt. Loved it. And their tater tots are the best tots I've ever had... ever. Perfectly crispy but melt in your mouth. Especially dipped in their 240 sauce. It's hard to find too many places for my mom and I to eat because she's vegetarian. We found Gourmelts because my apartment complex recommended them. It was perfect for my mom because they have so many vegetarian options. As for me, I'm a meat eater but I tried eating one of their vegetarian sandwiches and I can say I really loved it .
