I booked the GHI food truck for a corporate team Christmas party at my home. I stumbled upon GHI on Google after considering several options. The novelty of having a food truck for the party versus traditional catering made me want to give them a try. Vince was incredibly responsive and helpful from the very first call I placed. He worked with us to come up with the perfect menu. Travis was the chef onsite during the party. Travis arrived at the stated time and had everything set up just as we had planned. My guests LOVED the food truck. It was a big hit! The food was AMAZING and Travis was so great to work with. Our wedding was hosted at Terminus 330 and the catering was completed by GHI Catering. We were very fortunate they were able to work with our budget. THE FOOD AT OUR WEDDING WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. We had our tasting ~4 months before the wedding and it was stellar then, but we were slighly concerned that when they had to produce the same amount for 25x more people there would be some low parts to the meal. However, GHI came through like champs! We were fed first and the chef came up to us while we were eating asking how it tasted and if we needed anymore. We used GHI Catering for our wedding rehearsal dinner, reception, late night food and DJ. Our rehearsal dinner was buffet style and reception/late night were the food truck. From the beginning, GHI was very responsive and courteous. Our food tasting was delicious and the food was just as good (if not better) the weekend of our wedding! I love that they offer so much to minimize the amount of vendors you need to coordinate with. They traveled about an hour and a half for our event and were timely throughout. The staff was absolutely amazing and so kind on our wedding day! I loved that they seemed like they were having a great time. Travis was such a fun DJ! GHI did a FANTASTIC job for my wedding last week! I honestly can't say enough good things about how kind and professional they all were, plus the food was amazing! After our tasting with Vince back in January, we knew we were making the right choice, but it wasn't until the day of that I realized just how necessary they were to making the day perfect. Jo coordinated a beautiful event and went above and beyond - she helped coach us how to cut the cake, fixed the bustle on my dress and even loaned me her hair tie. When we first went for a tasting, we knew this was a company we wanted to work with. From the beginning, Vince, Angie, and Jo were an absolute pleasure to work with. They handled the linens, set and strike, helping with coordinating, and making sure my husband and I ate, and always had a drink/ water in hand. Jo was a God sent to us and was so calm and organized even through the last month of my frantic back and forth emails. We hired GHI Catering for our son’s Bar Mitzvah in January. Vince was incredible to work with - so creative, patient and nice! !! Vince, Travis and their team were wonderful and the food was delicious. Their bartenders were top notch!! We had a speciality margarita on the rocks - sooo good! The kids had a speciality lemonade that was delicious. We also had a ton of those Jarritos sodas and Mexican cokes - huge hit! We had a Super Bowl theme and they came up with more interesting choices than any other caterer I met with - we were very impressed! Vince helped me make good decisions and guided me away from bad ideas (chocolate fountain)!! We had to do kosher-like (not kosher, but couldn’t mix meat and cheese in same dish) and they had really creative solutions. We also had gluten allergies and our son had to avoid dairy. There was food for everyone! We had a choice of bbq or lemon pepper chicken wings, brisket sliders, taco bar with tons of toppings (choice of fajita chicken and roasted veggies), roasted veggie flatbreads, beans and rice, Smoked Short Rib Chili over Horseradish Whipped Potatoes, Winter Greens with Roasted Root Vegetable Julienne, Pepitas, & Cornbread Croutons with a pesto Ranch dressing or a Blood Orange & Chive Vinaigrette, Sharp Cheddar & Boursin Mac-n-Cheese, a fun chips bar for the kids with pretzels, hot takis, potato chips, cheese balls, etc. We really enjoyed our appetizers - two of them were tomato bisque with a grilled cheese sandwich dipper and Lamb & Vidalia Meatballs with Pomegranate Soy Glaze!!! We had different appetizers for kids and adults. The choices were bountiful! The kids had a fun popcorn bar with toppings and an ice cream sandwich bar for dessert. Plus we had passed desserts like banana pudding with a caramel peanut butter sauce, delicious gf brownies and a milk chocolate mousse crunch that I would like to eat right now. We used GHI catering for our lunchtime wedding in July. We did a lot of research prior, as we were working with a pretty tight budget, and it was important to us to have a delicious vegan menu. We were deciding between using the food truck and the buffet service, and ended up going with the buffet. Courtney and Vince worked with us and created a varied menu with a variety of delicious and creative options. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was. The service was exceptional as well. Courtney was easily reachable in the time leading up to the wedding and everything came together perfectly. Vince was great to work with setting up the menu for our event and the food was wonderful. They came early, had everything ready to go and the Chef he sent even had no problem staying late so we could invite the fireman from the fire house up the street to come down and finish off the rest of the GREAT food. We do not have a signature dish we actually create custom menus for our clients to fit their needs.
Our "Signature" is helping the client discover what they want for their event and making it happen for them.

We spend more time "on the front end" with our clients making sure that we craft our menu to fit their wants and needs.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Founding partner Vincent Marra has spent a lifetime in the hospitality industry. Reared in his family’s restaurants, it was no surprise when he enrolled in the prestigious culinary arts program at Johnson & Wales University. After a brief sojourn to academic life to earn additional degrees in English, Philosophy, and Education Vince returned to his culinary roots.
For more than 20 years he held prestigious positions in world-class hospitality organizations. Certified as an Executive Chef by the American Culinary Federation at age 27, Vince has split time between 5 diamond resorts, national chain restaurants, and hospitality consulting.
Vice President of Sales Travis Schamerhorn is a man of many talents. Navy Intelligence Specialist, Insurance Salesman, Computer Hardware Technician, Hospitality Educator, and Post-Impressionistic Artist are all career paths traveled by Travis.
Energized by his lifelong passion for hospitality and a personal promise to re-invent himself before turning 40, Travis fled the security of his corporate marketing career for the rigors of culinary school and the challenges of restaurant ownership..
Vince met Travis while working on a consulting project at a major hotel, Vince knew that he had found the ingredients for a promising partnership.
