We had done some alterations at our house in Bryanston, and parts of our garden were decimated as a result. Other parts of the garden were in desperate need of updating and re-focusing - we had a large project on our hands, and needed a professional to assist us. A colleague recommended Helet, and we were hugely impressed by her vision, creative ideas, plant knowledge, understanding of colour and texture, professionalism, organisational skills, commitment, energy and execution. Helet has such a strong visual "eye" and created the most EXQUISITE garden for us - it sill makes my heart glad every day to see it. She understood very quickly what we wanted from the garden, had amazing ideas, she was very flexible and accommodating where we wanted to make changes, kept within our budget, and utterly transformed the garden in the most beautiful way. She is the consummate professional - from her taking the time to understanding what we wanted from the garden, to her detailed diagrams and drawings of exactly what she was planting and where (a number of other landsapers I spoke to only offered some vague ideas about plants they would use and where they would be planted), to her execution of the project (which was run like a miltary operation) - efficiency, expertise and knowledge are her watchwords, with a great deal of vision and passion. My partner and I got introduced to Helet van Blerk from Gorgeous Gardens last year in August by a friend who used her services for her garden the year before.

We were very impressed to see how our friends garden had developed in such a short time that it was for us very clear that we wanted to meet with Helet.

We just bought a new house ourselves and the garden was nothing but lawn.
We had this wild idea of creating a jungle in one part of the garden, a private hideaway, so to speak.

During our meeting with Helet, we noticed that for every word we said, she understood 3 and within no time got the whole picture.

Only a few days later we received the design and Estimate for the works in our garden.

I believe it was the end of September that the works commenced. Monday morning nothing but lawn and by Friday afternoon, I had my hideaway.

It was a pleasant experience to have Gorgeous Gardens doing this project and to have Helet herself on site during the works gave us the greatest confidence that works would be completed on time and according to plan.
