Best location in the city. staff, trainers and members are all awesome. Never over crowded, always clean and equipment is excellent. lost my wallet in the locker room this week and it was turned over to the front desk in minutes. Mutual respect for everyone here. I have nothing but a good things to say about this gym and my trainer Ridwan Mao.I work a lot , and have limited time during a week ,but thanks to him being accomodating and great motivator i have more energy and stamina now then ever before. If you work downtown or live near by,and you want to get in shape and not feel tired all the time ,go to this gym, ask for Ridwan, he will set you up with workout that will help you get where you want to be . I have been training with Ridwan Mao for a few months and have had a great experience! He has a positive attitude which motivates me. Ridwan is knowledgable about nutrition (e.g. has given me a food guide and eating habits to practice) and the exercises we do (e.g. gives me exercises I like that I can do in my home gym). I have noticed results not only in my body composition but in my mentality as well. I have Ridwan to thank for feeling my best and looking the best I ever have!!! More...

I just joined GF in this gym. Plenty of workouts, classes and amenities. The staff customer service is top notch (Nathan, Mitch, Younuz so far). I also want to remind people to remain vigilant about their belongings, as my stuff got stolen from the locker. Somebody stole my shoes, gym bag and even socks! Nathan from reception, was very helpful and did everything he possibly could to assist, even finding me spare t-shirt. More...

I had Ridwan Mao as my personal trainer and he was absolutely honest and motivating. He provided me with the right guidance and really worked on my form during exercise. He did not spend too much time on the money and focused more on the workout and provided the best class for you. Highly recommend Hamza!! At first, I thought there’s no point on going to the gym or having a personal trainer, but after having Hamza as my trainer it changed my perspective of PT. He’s very professional, and responsible in many ways! Even if I only had a couple sessions left, he still plans my workout throughly, and changes it every time I get stronger. I feel like he gave me the perfect degree of workout, not too easy not too intense, something that my body wouldn’t get bored of but still works effectively. Even on days when I ate a lot or ate unhealthy food, Hamza would not get mad or give me any pressure, because it’s super normal! Before, I really wanted the kind like “unhealthy skinny”, but after all the sessions with Hamza, I feel strong and confident. It also changed the way I looked at beauty in a way, because instead of being just “skinny”, I feel like getting toned and stronger makes me feel better because I can see progress every single week, and I’m proud of it! Thank you Hamza for everything! You’re the best!!(Side note for everyone who wants to join, you have 10 days to cancel, and it’s your right! Don’t listen to anyone if they tell you it can’t be canceled and have to freeze your account! Freezing it would just make it worse and I have been in this snow ball situation before. I have been going to this gym for a few weeks now, since I moved to Toronto. Initially I met with Daniel, the sales manager. The loveliest guy about and went above and beyond to help me. I’ve not felt pressured into any sort of membership at all. I am a very avid gym goer so know what workouts I need to do on which days etc... I didn’t feel patronised or belittled in any way. Infact... I’ve sent over my resume to see if there is any part time work as I feel so comfortable here. It’s a great gym with wonderful helpful staff. Amazing gym - Mark is the best!!I've been a member of Goodlife gym now for just over a year and it's safe to say that Mark is the absolute best, he's completely attentive and consistently challenges and motivates us (myself and my boyfriend) and has taught us so many new and unique exercises. He is very knowledgeable about kinesiology and always ensure we are doing the exercises correctly to avoid injury. Would definitely recommend GoodLife to anyone. It's changed my experience with exercise and living healthy.We are greatly appreciative for the work Mark has put in for us and would strongly recommend his training services.The location is also amazing and so accessible, all the staff are very friendly too. Signed up at this gym following a classic New Year's resolution to "get in shape". A total novice, I had the membership and the resolution, but no idea how to execute it. Spoke to a fitness advisor and naturally was advised to sign up for training. Although skeptical, I did, and I couldn't be happier with that decision. Two years later, I'm still training with my coach Mark Woods. He took the intimidation out of the whole gym experience and continues to be a great teacher and motivator. He literally got me from "f*ck the gym" to "f*ckin love the gym". Consistent results will do that.Also, lots of beefy boys at this location to look at if that's your thing. More...

Huge gym with lots of varied equipment conveniently located at Yonge & Dundas. Love the cycling classes so much more than I thought I would. Personal trainer Matt has been awesome, got me to drop a significant amount of weight and build my strength and endurance, makes the work out fun.Adding that my current trainer, Mark Woods, is also very awesome. After dropping all my weight he's managed to build up and define my muscles, and keep me losing weight. I have had membership off and on for the last 20 years at a couple of gyms. I even tried out a couple of trainers at those places and never found a great fit. Last August, I joined this location because of its proximity to my work and have loved the experience. I signed on with one of their trainers, Hamza, and have been seeing great results, fixing issues with muscular imbalances and nutrition. I have even seen some really good weigh loss over the last 8 months although that wasn’t my primary reason for getting into training. Definitely recommend this location and particularly Hamza for his expertise and general good nature. 5/5 would recommend! More...

I train here with Hamza U. He's a great trainer with extensive anatomical knowledge-- whenever I've struggled with stability or pain, he's always given me exercises and stretches to quickly overcome those hurdles and stick to my training plan. I have been training with Lebeney Aglagoh for a little over a year. She is always a blast to train with. She is very knowledgeable and encouraging. As someone who started out very unsure and intimidated by weight machines and working out in general, she has really brought me out of my shell. She always find other ways to explain things to make sure I get what we are doing and if I am feeling the workouts in the right muscle groups and area. My husband and I work out 3 times a week with Andrei Avarvarei and he's fantastic. I know full well that I wouldn't be going half as regularly, if at all, if it weren't for him. He's extremely knowledgable and always knows how to adapt exercises if we ever show up with a sore back or any other issues. He varies the routines just enough to keep us engaged but not so much that we never feel like we know what we're doing. He's very specific about the details, your body stance, where the weight should be, how you should be breathing, what muscle groups you're working and how a small change even in your grip can alter the entire exercise. We're both learning a ton and we've never been in better shape. It helps my focus at work, my energy for sure and definitely my overall attitude. I can't imagine what we'd do without our sessions now that we're so entrenched in this routine. The gym itself is in a great location - we really enjoy the steam rooms and I've occasionally taken classes there too which I've enjoyed. The staff is extremely friendly and lots of fun as well, but it's definitely Andrei that keeps us coming back! More...

This is a really great gym, has everything you could need, especially since the addition of the weightlifting platforms. The service and staff are also excellent. Special shout out to my trainer Mark Woods. I’ve been boxing with Mark for about two months and I have loved every session. This gym is larger than it seems on first glance, with the lower floor having tons of equipment and space. The location is super convenient at Yonge and Dundas if you live or work downtown, and the staff is always friendly and willing to answer questions. There are always group fitness classes going on and the instructors have a great energy to keep you motivated.I’ve been training here for over 2 years, and have been working with Mark Woods for about a year and a half. Before starting training with Mark, I wasn’t really seeing much progress, but as soon as I started working with him I started losing weight and learned a new amazing sport. Mark is super motivating and gives you all the tools you need to build muscle, lose weight, or whatever your goals may be. I have trained at this gym for over a year now and I dont have a bad thing to say about it! The facilities are fantastic and the staff are very friendly. I recently started training with a PT called Mark Woods and he is hands down the best PT I have worked with. He has great knowledge and a passion for training his clients that's second to none! Super cool place to work out. I was welcome by Gregg who in less than 20 minutes had me ready to start. He showed me the gym and explained where the different machines were located. The gym is new, clean, comfortable, welcoming. All kinds of machines to work every single muscle. Sauna, showers and even towels are available. This is a terrific Goodlife and gym in general. It has all the features you could hope for such as being spacious, clean, and great equipment. But what makes this gym stand out from others is the service. My boyfriend and I were thinking of signing up and spoke with Daniel Love. He was so helpful and informative. He patiently (I ask a lot of questions) laid out all the options and helped us pick which memberships were best for us. The whole time he was so friendly and a pleasure to deal with. This was a major selling point, especially for my boyfriend, who was previously committed to smaller independent gyms and reluctant to join the Goodlife chain. In the end, we both signed up and walked away happy and confident in our decisions. Daniel definitely left a positive impression to both of us with his outstanding customer service. I have been a regular member of the Goodlife Yonge & Dundas since 2015. I have attended several Goodlife locations over the years and can say with 100% confidence that the Yonge & Dundas location is one of the best Goodlife locations I have attended! The staff is friendly, the facilities are very clean, the equipment is well maintained and there are several classes to choose from with experienced instructors. In particular, I have been working with a wonderful trainer, Lana, for the past couple years. Lana is a highly seasoned trainer - she is knowledgeable about diet, health and fitness and is always available to answer questions. She motivates me to get to the gym 3-4 times a week and put in 100% effort while I am there. Frankly, I could not ask for a better experience with a trainer! I continue to refer and recommend Lana and the Yonge & Dundas location to all my friends! More...

As a loyal member of Planet Fitness for several years, I initially was skeptical to join GoodLife Fitness. I simply couldn’t justify shelling out the extra few dollars for what I figured would be the same gym experience. But after my consultation at the Yonge-Dundas Square location with fitness advisor, Mitch, I was completely sold. Mitch was extremely knowledgeable of the sciences behind health and fitness and was an enormous help in customizing a personal fitness plan that worked with my schedule. I definitely felt like I was in good hands! He then proceeded to take me on a tour of the gym which was A LOT larger than I expected with multiple floors, a vast selection of equipment/programs and a number of other special amenities that were never available to me at Planet Fitness (i.e. virtual fitness classes, yoga rooms, saunas, etc.). I’m typically too shy to ask others for help/advice when I’m at the gym but Mitch was so friendly and made my fitness goals seem more attainable. 10/10 would recommend this location and 10/10 ask for Mitch when you do!
