I had a large group gather here for lunch. I sent a private message through Facebook to let them know we were coming. The staff could not have been any more accommodating than they were. Some very sweet friends ordered a care package from Good Food for me upon my return to Atlanta from a funeral out of state. The food was comforting and absolutely amazing. We had pot roast the first night and I felt like my Nana had made my dinner. Mashed potatoes, garlicky green beans and best of all PEACH COBBLER. Good Food Marietta catered a company all hands meeting for us yesterday and everything was outstanding!! We are on the west side of town in an industrial park and it can be challenging to get catering for our monthly luncheons (and not much variety) but that was no problem for these folks and what a great decision and experience for us! Jenny and Chef worked with us to create a sampling of items that made everyone happy (and that's not easy)! The food was excellent and plentiful! You can tell it is fresh. There is none of that out of the freezer nonsense here - all the food is top notch quality and exceptionally well prepared. My compliments and gratitude to Chef and Jenny. Love this local spot! We've enjoyed all of the food and we've been there at least 6 times. Brunch was awesome and we walk away fat sassy every time! Food is always fresh and yummy. Staff is warm and inviting. You can go in for a quick bite or take time have a cold brew (delish) and chat with the owner...always taken care of! They are hard working, good peeps and I love supporting them! And best of all...the kids love it! Even a nice little spot for them to play safely while we get to relax! Ate there last Thursday with my sister, her baby and my 2 girls. Kids played at the Lego table while I got to eat peacefully. I put on a Donna Summer album on the turntable by the door, it was awesome. The lasagna was amazing and my sister loved her pot roast. I really enjoyed the excellent customer service of the staff. Food is definitely fresh and made each day. The collard greens I had were cooked perfectly. I was really impressed with the homemade biscuits as well. I had 4 veggies a biscuit and drink for around $13 plus a tip. It was worth it. Also I'm interested in the dj set up with vinyl that I guess the customers can play of they want. I don't know how that works. This place is really good. I’ve eaten at Good Food probably 2 times a week since it opened in Fall 2017. It’s a made-fresh homestyle comfort food restaurant where service is cafeteria style. The staff is friendly and attentive. You are greeted at the door with a vinyl record player with stacks of records from the 60’s-70’s-80’s and customers are encouraged to play whatever they would like.My favorite dishes include: The Meatloaf, Smothered Chicken Breast (over mashed potatoes). The collard greens are maybe the best I’ve had anywhere. They have different soups from day to day. I HIGHLY encourage you try any that have a vegan or vegetarian label. One of the chefs, Vince, makes these. Really amazing. For deserts, the oreo-parfait is a guilty pleasure, and I’m not a sweets-person. It’s not too sweet, and the texture is just right.Overall, I really like this place for the local mom-and-pop attitude. The community focus. And above-all the fresh, not over-seasoned food.
