This is a gym for everyone. Been working out here about 8 months after leaving 24hr fitness. I'm much happier. It is a better fit for me. I really don't like change of any sort, but I made the move. So much friendlier service, better facilities, and feels more like a spa atmosphere. I wish the screen monitors worked on all or at least most of the cardio items. I hate getting all ready to go and the TV monitors don't function, then I have to find a machine whose monitor works properly. Yeh..I'm one of the only people there that don't have my phone..Im there to work out...not text,call my friends or look at my playlist.So it would be nice to fix all the monitors. Not everyone is a phone addict I just want to work out. That being said, I'm so sick of phone people sitting on the machines on their phones and not doing the weights.You really need more personnel walking around. It shouldn't be my place to tell someone on their stupid phone to get up so I can work out. I get so many emails from you about points..Why don't you once in a while send emails about how to properly behave at the gym. Some people just want to work out..I can't tell you how much time I've wasted waiting for people on their phones. Maybe next time I will just grab an employee to wait for me, so I don't waste my time. Can't u make some kind of rules and enforce it...Have to say I love the gym, but u got some rude clientelle. 5 stars because I've been a member here for years and have never had a problem. I love the sauna and steam room, always nice to use after a tough work out. One thing though... Why is the soap perpetually out on the second to left-most sink in the men's bathroom!! I joined using Golds online process on my phone.  I wanted a membership at the TO location but ended up with a Simi Valley membership (my fault).  After reading all the negative reviews on membership cancellation I assumed I was screwed.  I called the TO location and JD handled it for me without any hassle.  Even though it was my fault they never made me feel like a dumb s***.  Now I'm hoping I can drop 15 lbs as easily as I changed membership locations.  Thanks JD! I'm never disappointed at Gold's because they deliver results. With there equipment and classes I lost 110 pounds and packed on 25 pounds of muscle. I like the types of equipment they have it gives you that bodybuilder look. JD is amazing ! He answered all of my questions and got me on a great deal! The staff are all so friendly! They have everything here you can possibly think of . My favorite is the theater room. They have all of the machines in there while you get to watch a great movie . It's dark so I don't feel embarrassed working out . Everyone is into the movie as well. Clean.  Usually not too crowded.  Easy place to come and get a workout in.  They play the worst music I've ever heard.  After a 90 minute workout you may never want to hear music again.

I've been coming to this gym since January and I just love it here! Friendly staff, clean machines, clean locker rooms, cardio cinema. .. And the manager of the gym, Mike, is very nice and he helped me fix an issue with my membership in less than an hour, so I don't understand the negative comments about him at all. This gym is alright. Nothing wrong with it but the bathrooms are kinda gross. Other than that, it has he most gym equipment out of any other gym in the area. Hours are alright too. I was a member at this gym for 18 months and had a wonderful time here! The location is fantastic, and despite what some of the other reviews say, I found the staff to be very friendly, resourceful, and attentive. Never too crowded, great regulars who I've gotten to know, tons of classes, a steam room and sauna, and overall very clean changing rooms. After the first 15 months there is also a low priced incentive to stay but I'm moving out of the area, bummer! I was previously a member of 24-Hour fitness and I would choose Gold's again all-the-way.My only gripe here are actually other patrons: there are some grouchy 5-towel hoarders but every gym will have those. I've seen the staff address issues with quarrelsome members in an upfront professional manner, as well as steadfastly keep the gym clean and comfortable when people do gross things.DJ (John) is always smiling at the front desk and Deshaun is a fantastic personal trainer who has even worked with a handful of celebrities! I found the fun and friendly staff at the front desk to be one of the best things about this gym, and definitely helped me come into the gym on those tough rainy days, thanks everyone!Looking into some of the profiles of those that left 1-star reviews, I found these to be habitual 1-star complainers. Just joined today and had a great experience. Manager Mike M gave me a tour, provided me with a great deal, and answered all my questions. He is very understanding and explains all contract terms and conditions in great detail. Other gyms I've joined speed through the contract and force you to do personal training consultation. I told him I'm not interested in personal training and he said that's fine & never mentioned it again. Didn't feel like I was being harassed by sales people like I did in other gyms (LA fitness). Very clean and organized facility. Makes me want to come back everyday based of the shear fact that the equipment is so well taken care of. Even if somebody breaks a machine due to their inability to use it properly, this gym makes every effort to fixing that machine in a timely manner. Knowing this alone should make you wanna workout here, if that's not enough, I pay less here for my membership than I do at 24 hour fitness. Maybe that'll help! More...

I really like my gym I have been a member for three years now I think or this is going to be my third year unfortunately this year I didn't go to many times I had a car accident bummer but I kept my membership because I don't want to lose it it's always clean they have amazing amenities amazing you have to go in there to see all the stuff they have I really do love this place i've always been a member of a gym I've always worked out I'm not in the best shape now but it's always my goal my husband and my daughter are also members here so yes I highly recommend it!!!

Gym is really nice. 25m pool, sauna, locker room, lots of free weights and equipment. No bumper plates and only 2 squat rack, not including the smith machines would he only negative thing. They also have lots of benches and a indoor cinema that has other cardio equipment in it so you can watch a movie while you workout. I'm in a wheelchair after losing both legs below knee. I'm currently on a mission to rehabilitate and get into shape. I began taking yoga from Yitka, what an amazing woman! Without saying a word, she has incorporated practices into the routine that directly benefit me. I noticed immediately but wasn't certain - after a couple of more classes I knew. It kinda baffles me that some comments say outdated.... I looked at a couple gyms and this by far was the cleanest and has some rather nice machines. I have only been here a short time but so far I find it to be an excellent gym. People great you with a smile when you come and go from the gym. I was a member at this gym 3 years ago and I absolutely loved it here!! The people who worked there were always so nice and I loved that they would great me by name! Also shoutout to Matt Mickey who was my trainer for 2 years! He helped me get into the best shape Ive ever been in and pushed me to continue to work hard! He is one of the most motivational people I know!
