I do the majority of my own auto maintenance, and I couldn't get a stripped downline O2 sensor nut off. Finally gave up, called Golden Wrench, explained my situation and was quoted $75 to remove the nut and install the O2 sensor I already purchased. They took the truck right away and did what they said they would for the price they quoted. What a concept! Just wish I would have taken it in before I spent 2 hours swearing at the exhaust...will be using them for all future work I need done. More...

Great customer service!! I thought I was having a major oil leak, after they inspected my Jeep they told me it was just my oil filter was not put on correctly and was loose. They were very efficient and didn't leave me waiting. I was going to take it to the dealer and both Jeep dealers in North County had a 2 week wait before they'd even look at my car. That was not an option to wait that long so I went searching for a local mechanic. I am sure glad I found these guys! I will definitely only be taking my Jeep here from now on. More...

Today I went in to see what my car needed. I was given great info, the price seemed worth what was being worked on. Service was speedy, communication was great. They've also told me how much my parts have degraded and gave reasonable rough estimates that'll affect how I'll be doing my repairs in the future. I find that information super valuable. This place is absolutely amazing, about a week and a half ago I ran over a piece of a tire that I couldn't avoid in the freeway, I took it to the local Toyota dealership and they told me they couldn't help me. So I went to a place they recommended to me and they gave me an outrageous estimate to fix my car, then I went here and they did so many tests and gave me a print out of everything they did and said there was nothing wrong with my car, they saved me so much money that I almost spent fixing my car when there is nothing wrong with it, thank you so much golden wrench team!!! Best customer service at Golden Wrench! I was driving to take my grandson to Vista Library when my car started shaking and 2 lights on the dashboard lit up! !! I got so scared and put my hazard lights on! God is good all the time! I was only 2 exits away from Golden Wrench! Casey came out to see which lights were lit, took my car immediately for diagnostics.... my grandson, thankfully love cars, trucks, wheels, etc. Casey and the other mechanics were very kind letting him watch from afar! Mike is a man of integrity, honesty, and upstanding professionalism. We all know how difficult it is to find a mechanic who presents these qualities for the best of the client. .. not himself: Mike carries displays this exactly! More than anything, I felt like he was looking after me like he would his best friends daughter. I am from around here but moved up north and visit here often. On my long drive down my car began to have some transmission issues. He not only took me in immediately, but made my car a priority due to the fact that I had to drive back the next day. He told me everything I "needed" and the things that I could hold off on. Now that's honesty. He knew I wouldn't be coming back any time soon for work on my car because I no longer live here but he took care of me as if I had been a lifetime client. The service that Golden Wrench provided was amazing to say the least. From calling in my request to showing up, the operator/owner of the business was very personable and knowledgeable, and understood that my time is very valuable. In total It was 10 minutes from dropping off my car to having it passed smog and them having it pulled up so I could pay and leave. I found Golden wrench on yelp, had good reviews and it was down the street from where I live. I call to inquire about prices for a smog check $30. it only cost me $30.00 excellent customer service and they got it done quick. i will keep going back. plus they are honest and they  don't take advantage of you because your a woman. besides i use to build muscle cars, hung with all the guys with there muscle race cars and learned a lot and had so much fun. some of my very best times in my life. mike s., kenny s., tommy s., myself and wednesday nights was van nuys blvd for street racing and cruising in the san fernando valley. so i know about cars. i love muscle cars, not to much into the newer cars at all. its good to know about the basics at least ladies. but golden wrench is very honest. i recommend you go to them for car troubles. I found Golden Wrench 9 years ago from reading reviews for auto repair.  I can honestly say I've never dealt with a more  honest or experienced garage in my entire life.  And since finding Golden Wrench, I've never even entertained the idea of looking elsewhere for service, even though I'm sure there are other good garages much closer to my home.  If my vehicle needs attention, Mike is quick to point it out, but if it really doesn't need something more, even though the over-priced dealership might suggest otherwise, Mike will point that out too.  Although I could probably find oil change services elsewhere for cheaper, I know when I bring my car to Golden Wrench for an oil change or any other kind of service, I'll get an honest evaluation of whether additional service is required or recommended.  There are simply no sell-ups just to try to soak you for all they can get.  If you want peace of mind about whether your vehicle is getting honest and reliable service, Golden Wrench should be your next stop. I've known Mike and Jason for many years, and trusted them to work on my cars (some of which required extra attention, like my late, lamented Grand Wagoneer). Now my son is driving his own car, a Ford Escape, and I trust them to work on his car too. They're honest, do excellent work with stellar attention to detail (they've never, say, left a cotter pin out of a throttle linkage stranding me on the freeway, as one shall-remain-nameless dealer repair shop did to me), and their prices are fair (not the lowest - but if you're doing your homework, you never take the lowest bid anyway. These guys are great! Got a referral from Discount Tires, whom we totally trust with our tire needs, to check out a possible CV joint/axle/shock issue on the front side of my daughter's car.  After dropping the car off we received a great call letting us know the problem was way over estimated by the oil change guys and dealer service people (phone call to the dealer), and was simply a loose hubcap clip!  They fixed the clip, checked the other clips on the other 3 wheels all without any charge.  We had them do an alignment which they gave us an amazing deal on.Glad we found them and will definitely be reaching out if other needs for our cars came up.  Thanks for making the process easy for the integrity in your work!
