Very accommodating, nice rooms. They were late in getting our room ready due to unforeseen circumstances, but they made up for it with a 6 pack of beer. Had a pack and play for the kiddo available. The breakfast was seriously delicious! And the pool facilities were great for after skiing. More...

My girlfriend and I drove up from CT to snowboard and stay the night. Made our whole stay in Vermont just perfect. The fireplace in the room was amazing after spending the day in the snow. Jayton greeted us pleasantly when we walked in and was so helpful with all of our questions and advising us on places we should go. The room was awesome and cozy. Very spacious with bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, patio. There's a nice fireplace and wood provided but bring your own fire starters since wood is likely frozen.

Best after ski pool and hit tub deal in town! It's right on the mountain road and perfect for those staying in town who want to hop in a hot tube and do not have one at their place! We stopped by on Thankgiving day and were also very graciously treated by the hotel staff. If you are looking for a place to hot in a hot tub or pool after the day on the mountain, I would highly recommend it! More...

Lovely location, lovely room (although some bits in the room are getting tired). Food at breakfast was fantastic! Did call front desk at one point as we were struggling with the shower (maintenance never did show up) but we fixed the issue on our own.

It’s location was perfect for us, attending the British Invasion Car Show. Our room (240) was huge by today’s standards. Everything worked as expected. Our room had a jacuzzi tub, no fireplace. The property is older, but in good repair. We didn’t use any of the other amenities ( pool, etc) other than the restaurant (The Nest) which was our only negative experience. There seemed to be total confusion in the restaurant, we were given the wrong order, had to serve our own coffee, took 1 1/2 hrs to get our breakfast. Our friends had the same experience. Food was good once we got it. That was Saturday morning 15 September. Maybe it was just an off day for them. More...

We just stayed here and our stay was awesome! Beautiful grounds and the room was very nice. My only thing was the pet friendly room had carpet like the rest. I had been told that pet friendly rooms usually did not but as a precaution bought my dogs crate for her to sleep in because she still has an occasional accident if not sleeping in it. Other than that one thing we really enjoyed our stay although next time will ask for a lower floor pet friendly room as going up and down the stairs for potty breaks got tiring after a while. The trails from what I saw were awesome! I wish I was able to explore more of them but due to time restraint could not. The fire pit was great and the s’mores was a great touch! I will be recommended the resort to friends and hopefully will come back too. Thank you for a great stay! More...

I haven't actually stayed here, but had a very positive experience with their customer service. We booked a stay here through some travel app that no one has heard of. We drove a couple of hours to the hotel only to find out the travel app failed to make our reservation, but successfully charged my card for the two night stay (don't ever use HotelQuickly to book anything). When we got there, they were equally as confused about the situation. Silas at the front desk was extremely helpful in talking with the sketchy travel company's customer service and finding us a room at a nearby hotel. I haven't seen any of the rooms, but would highly recommend this place based on their customer service. More...

A perfect place for a family to retreat for relaxation and fun. I love Stowe even more now that we have experienced Golden Eagle Resort and its great employees especially the guys maintaining the facility. One of the guys commented on my USA Hockey shirt and lead to a great conversation about Stowe. I got so much local knowledge to key places like a great swimming hole. Everyone there was GREAT! The Resort is going through some enhancements which will lead to a greater experience but it did not phase us. The indoor pool, outdoor pool and views, shuffleboard, tennis, bikes for guests were awesome feature and so close to bike path, close to shops/food, close to Mt Mansfield, downtown, Cafe breakfast was great. Another week or two we could of used the fireplace in the room since the night were getting a bit colder. Maybe next time!I/we loved our stay in Stowe and at Golden Eagle Resort (143). It is worth the price compared to other places we researched and WHEN we go back to Stowe, we will be staying at the Golden Eagle Resort and may even upgrade our reservation to one of the two room suites as they look fantastic! My fiancé and stayed here this weekend (late April) and we really enjoyed it! The room was clean and spacious. I think there were maybe three other families here while we were, so it was nice and quiet. There is an indoor pool, and hot tub, sauna, game room, library and work out room, as well as an outdoor pool (which isn't open yet). This place is dog friendly which is why we decided to give it a shot! We like to bring our dog, Fenway with us everywhere we go. Our door has direct access to outside and there's lots of green spaces and wooded areas around us for him to explore. We didn't eat the food here since Stowe has so many amazing places to eat- all within walking distance of the hotel. My ONE complaint: the room was very stuffy at night- no air circulation. We opened the back window but didn't want to open the front ones since we were afraid the noise from people walking past our room would wake us. But, this may not be a problem in the summer when the AC is going or in the winter when it's frigid. April is an awkward in-between time here in New England! This place reminds me of the camp they stay at in the movie Dirty Dancing! We will definitely be back. More...

Our family of five stayed in a Fireside apartment (#140), across the street from resort.  It was very spacious.  You walk into small foyer than the kitchen, dining area, spacious living room with fireplace and sofa bed.  Upstairs are two bedrooms- one with king bed and one with two twin beds.  They were very comfortable.  The apartment was well stocked with a full refrigerator, dishwasher, and outdated stove and microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker, dish liquid, and paper towels.  The heat worked very well.  There are 1.5 bathrooms.  The bathroom upstairs has a full tub/shower combination, hairdryer.  They provided soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion.  We enjoyed indoor pool, fitness center, game room with ping pong, foosball, and pool table (all across the street).  The apartment was an easy walk to a Thai restaurant (Saensook Thai Kitchen), Sushi Yoshi, and The Bench.  There was also a small market a couple of doors down.  The Stowe rec trail is behind apartments.  The GE Resort also provides snow shoes, if you want to try it.   The WiFi worked well.
