Jonathan was recommended to us by the London Guitar Centre and for two years now we have enjoyed fabulous, stimulating lessons every week. Jonathan always manages to find a captivating way to explain an idea. My two boys are working towards Grade 5 and Grade 3 Trinity and Jonathan is making sure they really reach the grade and enjoy their playing and practice. We all look forward to the lessons. More...

I have been learning classical guitar for more than 10 years, mostly in France though , as I have moved recently to the UK. Jonathan has been teaching me for approximatly one year and I think he is a brilliant classical guitar teacher. He has helped me with technical skills but also with expressing myself and being natural while playing the guitar.He has given me a better musical understanding of the pieces and his approach of music theory is interesting and very clear. Also he has a huge musical knowledge and it is a pleasure to learn about famous composers and musicians. Finally Jonathan has made me discover some great new pieces of music. Jonathan has been teaching our son (now 14), guitar since he was 7 and we could not recommend him more highly. Jon is a kind and enthusiastic teacher and our son really likes him and enjoys his lessons. Jon is a very talented guitarist himself and really inspires our son, developing his musicality, improvisation and performance, as well as his guitar skills. The music education that Jon has given him has been really important to his personal development and happiness, and we are incredibly grateful to Jon for opening this up to him. My son had tried many instruments before the guitar. He would learn quickly, and then lose interest. With Jonathan things have been different, and he has enjoyed the lessons and continued to enjoy them. I don't personally know what a lesson with Jonathan is like, but I have seeen that my son had made rapid progress, and, more importantly, he loves playing the guitar and enjoys his weekly lessons with Jon. Jon has always been understanding if I have had to cancel a lesson and has tried to reschedule. He also supported us at short notice by accompanying Richard in an exam, when I hadn't requested an accompanist. Talented, fun and kind - what better combination for a music teacher?! More...
