It's essential to know how your business is really doing. By having your books in order you can concentrate on growing and running your business.

Working with figures and the satisfaction of saving clients time and money.

Of course we are bias but we believe we are the best at what we do!

Services

Whether it’s looking after your sales and purchase ledgers or preparing full accounts for your accountant and tax returns, we offer our clients a flexible service to take away the chore of record keeping and data entry.

Our bookkeeping services include; sales and purchase ledger, credit control, stock control, bank/credit card reconciliations, and VAT returns.

We offer computerised and on-line bookkeeping systems to manage and prepare all your business information while keeping it all in one place. Alternatively, we can work with your existing financial system or spreadsheets.

We can also offer the use of on-line cloud storage for documents and files, e.g. Dropbox, Livedrive.

We can collect the paperwork and process it remotely for each period or you can post it to us via special delivery. We will process all sales and purchases and reconcile all banks and credit cards, using Quickbooks, Xero or Sage, before returning all paperwork back to you.

This is not a method we would recommend, much better to do bookkeeping at least quarterly so as to ensure accurate figures. However, if you are one of those people who like to provide your accountant with a carrier bag of paperwork after your year end then our service may prove more cost effective.

Why not let us get everything sorted so you can instead present them with an accurate Trial Balance and neatly filed paperwork. Ask them what their revised fee would be if this were the case.

We will provide you with a statement of financial position more commonly known as a balance sheet, profit and loss and supporting notes. We will ensure deadlines are met and you are informed of your tax liability at the earliest opportunity.

More businesses cease trading due to poor cash-flow than any other reason. We can help you manage cash-flow and anticipate cash shortages by doing regular bank reconciliations, i.e. a comparison of your account ledgers against your bank statements.

This will ensure everything is paid in and out as planned and that there are no rogue transactions.

We understand the importance of knowing how your business is performing financially at any moment in time. Regular reports such as Trial Balance, profit and loss, debtors and creditors balances will keep you informed and provide you with an accurate perspective to the performance of your business. Management reports can also help you identify bad debts, unprofitable goods or services and cash flow.

We can create bespoke periodic reports from any accounting software system or manually kept books which can be presented in Excel based charts and tables.

If you need help preparing accounts from initial paperwork then We can produce an accurate TB along with a full set of working papers.

VAT is a complex regime of regulations that puts a tremendous administrative burden on businesses. Once your turnover is more than £82,000 per annum you will need to become VAT registered. You are able to register on a voluntary basis under this threshold. We can help to keep your VAT affairs in order, make sure you are collecting the right amounts for each transaction and ensure that you make payments and file returns correctly and on time, avoiding penalties.

Whether done directly from your accounting software system or using your letterhead template, we can take care of all your invoicing requirements, accounting for VAT, discounts and including any fine print on payment instructions and terms.

1. Pay for your Self Assessment Tax Return via our website.

2. Sign & return our engagement letter with proof if I.D and a utility bill.

3. Send us your UTR, National Insurance number and postcode to allow us agent access.

4. We will send you a questionnaire to help complete your tax return accurately.

5. Provide us with any records of income and expenditure including p45, p60, responses to the questionnaire and any supporting documents.

6. We will then fill out your Tax Return and you’ll receive the draft copy of it via email, along with your tax calculation. We will send you a draft copy for approval, once you are in agreement, we will file it with HMRC and provide you with a reference.

Alongside completing the company accounts we can complete your company tax return, tax computations, calculate your tax liability and advise you on when and how much tax you need to pay. Gold Stag Accounts will then submit this to HMRC on your behalf.

Setting up a new business can be both exciting and overwhelming at the same time, especially if you have no previous accounts experience.

We are able to help you decide which structure you require for your business whether you need to set up as a Sole Trader/Partnership/Limited Liability Partnership/Limited Company and assist with registering with Companies House and HMRC as required. We can also start you off by setting up your bookkeeping, payroll and VAT as required and either carry out these services for you or assist you in completing them yourself.

We are able to cover all aspects of payroll including PAYE & NICs, expenses, RTI returns to HMRC on your behalf, Directors NICs, student loan payments, employee benefits, pensions, SSP, SMP, SAP, and holiday entitlement. We can run monthly payroll including payslips, starter and leaver forms, monthly RTI procedures and end of year procedures, including filing to HMRC on your behalf and preparing the required forms for employees. If you run a business and employ staff you will need to complete payroll procedures and returns to HMRC. You will never have to worry about calculating statutory sick pay or maternity pay and dealing with student loan deductions ever again!
