I love this place. I have been Gisella's student for over 4 years now. Her spunky positive attitude,big heart and major talent keeps us all coming back. She knows how to make us all workout without the dreadful feeling of working out, we just have fun in class, let go and dance. I've took her Zumba, Samba, and hip hop classes as well as some of the special workshops she does, and even on my lazy days i come out feeling energized and refreshed.... Nothing but positivity coming out from that place... Love love love it! Also, everyone who goes there is so friendly.... I originally went in to exercise and i came out feeling  positive about myself as well as making new friends! The hour drive i make to go to her classes is well worth it! More...

Gisella is a phenomenal teacher, fantastic dancer and an absolute sweetheart! I decided to check out GDA a couple months ago via Groupon and now I'm hooked! I previously dreaded working out, but now I look forward to it. You get quite the workout, but it does not feel like work because Gisella and all the teachers make it so fun, positive and uplifting. Every time class is over I have a smile on my face. I'm learning so many great new songs to work out to and some awesome dance moves... I hope I can get in shape in time for my wedding in July! With the team here at GDA, I have no doubt I can achieve this. Also there is a real sense of community and comradery with the women that attend classes. Even though I'm still pretty terrible at some of the dances and it can be embarrassing for a perfectionist and professional performer (singer) like myself, the talent here just makes me want to work harder and everyone has been so encouraging. I felt genuinely welcome by all the dance teachers and women who work here from the start. There is a reason most of the women have been attending Gisella's classes for years. In addition to dance classes at GDA, there is also the option to attend many community and charitable events if you so choose which really brings a sense of purpose, and you can be as involved as you like. When Global Dance Arts opened in 2016 I was thrilled! Finally, I had a space to dance and could pick from a variety of classes depending on my mood and how I wanted to express myself that week. Get ready to dance until you sweat and smile! I actually quit my gym membership because I was spending so much time here and really LOVED the way it made me feel.The Zumba classes are perfect for my calorie-busting workout and to get my salsa, bachata, reggaeton, and brazil-funk fix. This studio introduced Rio-style Samba to me and now I'm hooked!! Get ready to feel like the sexy woman that you are - plus you can't help but feel the positive energy of the room and the other woman dancing too - and whoa.. what a workout. That checks off my butt toning and cardio (check!). Sometimes there are live drummers and the Samba Soul group has performances all the time!A newer class, Belly Dance, really tunes into your inner femininity. Think fluid slow movements and fun, flirty quick movement using your entire body. It's so fun to dance in this flirty and fun class. The instructor, Ariel, is an amazinggg performer and such a joy to learn from.I've been attending these classes for a full year now. Now.. I'm so excited to actually join this studio as an instructor!! I'm the newest schedule addition for the studio -- HOT HULA FITNESS every Monday at 5:30pm. :) This is a fitness class inspired dance moves from the Pacific Islands and works your arms, abs, legs, booty, and aloha spirit. We dance to traditional drumbeats then mix it up and get funky with today's hits! It's a blast!! Bring your lava lava (sarong/pareo).Let me tell you, as someone who has danced almost her entire life - and dancers can be very critical - this studio is for EVERYONE. Anyone who loves to move to music, listen to music, dance, be surrounded by positive and friendly woman, new to dance, just want to move your body or get fit, or for experienced dancers who love that raw ability to let go and connect with the drums, the music, and dance your heart out. Gisella is an amazing woman and dancer. Not only is she the crowned Miss Samba USA, she is sweet, gracious and down to earth. The classes at GDA just make your soul happy . I always leave class feeling 10 pounds lighter, after a great work out , she fills you with positive energy and you leave dripping in sweat with a smile on your face and having let go of all the stress of your day. There aren't enough amazing things I can say about Global Dance Arts and all the amazing staff and faithful GDA addicts who keep coming back. I've only recently found GDA and I'm totally hooked and I've been having so much fun and met lots of great people. I've attended quite a few Zumba classes and now Cardio Hip Hop and one of her kickass Beyoncé nights which was a super fun and empowering evening shaking it to Beyoncé tunes. And I can't wait to try Samba! Gisella is truly a special person - friendly, warm, open, totally inclusive, and you can feel how passionate she is about not just dance but about creating a community. I've never felt anything but totally comfortable and welcomed here and there is no judgement, just encouragement and smiles, even when you don't know what the heck you're doing (but no worries, you get the hang of it in no time even if you're a beginner!) I am so thrilled to have found this incredible little studio...even my husband is excited about it because he gets all the benefits of my super happy and sexy vibes I'm feeling post dance class. Giselle, the owner and dance instructor, is amazing. She's super patient, and really good at breaking things down so that I understand them. I feel super energized and worked out after her classes, and my skill level is increasing as well. She's also amazing with the kids Samba classes. My girls have so much fun and prefer to their other dance class. I highly recommend for someone interested in learning samba or just look for a fun way to work out. More...

This space is wonderful, the classes are great and I cannot give enough praise to the owner Gisella. Her passion for dance, warm spirit and enthusiasm make Global Arts a place I love to go. I have literally walked into class carrying stress from my day and walked out feeling revitalized! Not only are the classes fun but it is truly a work out. The Global Dance Arts studio exudes love and light. It's a beautiful, energy-filled, uplifting space that I look forward to going to so much. I've been taking classes with Gisella for years - I first started taking her dance classes when I started teaching high school. At a very challenging time embarking on a new career, coming to classes with Gisella was an outlet that allowed me to refill my soul with positive energy and rejuvenated me in every way. There is something so special about Gisella that you'll instantly experience the first time you check out her class. I love this place!!!! After a hard day at work there is no better release than dance. Gisella is such an inspiration and her personality is contagious,  I always walk out smiling. There are so many different dance classes  to take I am always learning something new. Great dance studio! It's very welcoming, great energy and lots of samba for my soul! I mainly go for samba but they offer other classes too. I've tried the Zumba, hip hop and Funky Brazil dance classes and have not been disappointed. It's so nice to be able to escape to the dance world after a long day at work. Let me start by staying, I don't review many places but this place is a must post...... The center of it is the owner herself, Gisella, she is an inspiration on so many levels.  Her energy, smile and gentle encouragement  is what inspires everyone to return and continue to  dance, dance,  dance.... From Zumba, Samba, Hip Hop, Tahitian, Afro-Carribean, and yoga and many kids classes as well there is so much to choose from.  The prices are beyond reasonable and you can have access to all the classes with the same package.  The space itself is very clean and spacious.  Gisella has awesome special events as well such  as art showings,  dance workshops, and even rents the space out for special events.......  Everyone is so welcoming I am truly enjoying this new addition to the Marina. Stop everything and get to GDA for a class. Â Any class. Â I'm serious. Â They're all amazing. Â I started dancing with Gisella a few years ago and can tell you, after sampling MANY dance studios in LA, that she is the best of the best. Â Hands down. Â What she does goes beyond exercise and even beyond dance - she is pure energy, light and kindness and is so humble even though the girl has GOT it. Fantastic classes! I've taken Zumba with Gisella. She is an amazing instructor. I've also done a demo with Leolani who teaches Tahitian dance and that was fun as well. The Zumba class is hard (I sweat buckets) but also easy enough to follow along. But the best part about the class is Gisella's positive energy and amazing dance soundtrack.
