More...

This is my first time in London and also first time for the afternoon tea so maybe I have no any other experience to compare but this place was nice. The tea room was not too crowded. Anyway, it would be better if you book the table in advance. (You can book the table online.) The tea was good. I really love the “Strawberry and Cream” tea. The sandwiches was very tasty as well but the desserts was too sweet for me. More...

We were up in London for a trip to the ballet and where better to stay that the Royal Horseguards Hotel , as always at this time of year the entrance lobby looked fantastic with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and everywhere was sparkling with lights and festive garlands. Our room was for once on the first floor, right next to the lifts but apart from a rendition of the 'Twelve days of Christmas' which wafted up from somewhere late on Friday night it was a quiet room. I'm sure the range of toiletries was less than normal but they were sufficient for our needs. The min-bar was kept well stocked with soft drinks and snacks. Thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas break and will be back again in July. More...

My husband and I have just spent two nights in The Royal Horseguards and it was truly amazing. The building itself is absolutely stunning, the staff so warm and welcoming, and the food in the restaurant truly delicious. To top that we had a beautiful room with breathtaking views of the gardens, but as it is also winter time, had the added luxury of a river view as well and being able to look right across to the sound bank. It really was a weekend to remember. More...

We stayed in this hotel for a 3-day visit to London. I have visited London many times for business, but this was the first time with my family. ||Simply put: overall, this hotel is the best I've experienced in all of London. The location is exceptional: Trafalgar Square, Westminster, Covent Garden, London Eye are all within a 5 minute walk radius and the Embankment Underground Station is literally around the corner.||Unfortunately, luxury hotels in London are never really cheap, but we had a great offer including breakfast.||The rooms are spacious, the beds are just the way we like them (not too hard, not too soft). The minibar was complimentary, and breakfast consists of a buffet which has almost everything you can wish for.||If we visit London again, we will surely be staying in this hotel. More...

This hotel is perfect for visiting most of the tourist destinations in London on foot. It is immediately opposite the London Eye, which we could see from our bedroom window. The staff were all wonderful, polite, cheerful and welcoming. We were most impressed by Ozoda in the restaurant who even remembered our drinks order for breakfast from one day to the next. Lunch and dinner were both very good indeed; we particularly enjoyed the superfood salad and the fishcake starter (small lunch). The reception area, bar and lounges downstairs are really nice places to sit and relax. But... this is clearly a 4* experience in many ways, however the hotel tries to sell it. The bedroom decor is tired and rather worn (the lighting panel and bathroom are very old-fashioned). The breakfast buffet offers good choice but not individually cooked items unless you pay a lot more. There are three lifts - but only one worked for our whole three-day stay so there were long and frustrating waits in the mornings. Why don't the hotel PR people understand that it's a mistake to over-sell yourself - it just leads to disappointment. We will stay again but now we will know what to expect. More...

Every year my Mum and I venture to London in search of its treasures. Five-star hotels, Michelin star restaurants, amazing shopping and phenomenal high teas! We call it Paddington Day. It’s a once a year spoil. Mother and daughter time. We select our restaurants, experiences and hotels very carefully. This year we celebrated our 7th Paddington Day... at the Royal Horseguards.||A five-star hotel, set near the banks of the Thames. The service, exquisite & charming decor and personal touches like a free mini bar surpass sine of the best hotels in London. ||The highlight was our room on the 7th floor with views overlooking the river, from the London Eye with a view up the river all the way to the Shard. Breathtakingly beautiful. The lights and colours as the day changed from dusk to dawn. We could sit at the little table overlooking the view, indulging in treats from the free mini bar. This made our trip! The room was very spacious, beautifully decorated with beautiful furniture and finishing touches. Great bed, linen and comfort! I would recommend upgrading your room to a river view to really experience the Royal Horseguards most treasured asset. Its view! ||The staff were attentive, friendly, warm and professional||The bar area is fantastic with ambient lighting, excellent drinks, cocktails and snacks... ||Breakfasts were very good. Served as a hot & cold buffet but perhaps not at the standard set by the rest of our experience in the hotel. ||Staying at the Horseguards is welcoming, plush and homely. To celebrate my wife’s birthday, we had a one-night stay at the hotel. We had a most enjoyable time from start to finish. From the moment we checked in we were treated as being special . We had a lovely river view room that overlooked the Eye and great views over London. The room had all the amenities and good quality products you would expect from a hotel of this class as well as a very comfy bed. It was also spotlessly clean. By London standards the room was quite spacious. My wife even had a small birthday cake which was a lovely touch.||Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of hot and cold food. The location of the Royal Horseguards is ideal. We were able to walk in approx. 20 mins to the theatre and the West End as well as all the attractions of the South Bank and Parliament and Whitehall.||A special thanks to Martina on reception whose professionalism was a credit to the hotel. My wife and I stayed at this hotel last week as part of a 40th birthday celebration. Our stay was faultless in every way, our room was a lovely size, clean and modern, the staff were so friendly, special note the the doormen who always greeted us with a warm and friendly smile regardless of how cold it was outside. The breakfast had such a variety it was difficult to decide what to have and again great quality too. The hotel is in an excellent location and easy walking distance to any of the local attractions including the London Eye which is opposite the hotel. A nice touch was that they knew it was my wife's 40th birthday and left a little treat for her (see photo) when we turned in for the night. We loved the feel of this hotel, especially the lounge bar area which creates such a relaxing atmosphere, perfect to unwind after a busy day sightseeing.
