From making the reservation on Open Table to being greeted on arrival, to our waiter who was so kind & helpful, to the food (ahhhh, I savor the shrimp & grits & can’t wait to comeback for more! to the seating (we were seated as far away from the central seating where the noise was pretty loud) - our total experience was tops. The best restaurant meal I have had in five years.   Amazing service, I think the staff here can read your mind, they know exactly when they are needed at your table. I had the she crab soup, catfish and side of creamed spinach.  Truly amazing what the kitchen does with these simple items.  They are the supreme masters at creating haute cuisine from humble ingredients.  If you are within 50 miles, make a reservation, it will be memorable.   If I could give 10 stars I would. It has been 8 years to the day that I tried this place and gave it rave reviews.  Had Dinner this past week with a business colleague in the area who suggested we eat here. I was not very impressed this time. The Appetizer menu was slim to choose from. The Fried Green tomatoes where two slices with some sort of shrimp slaw. Tasty but way to small for the price. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits to compare to my original meal at this locarion.Grits were just mediocre, Oily bowl of grits with not so flavorful sausage. The kick was gone... we decided to go with dessert and share. Best part of the meal but not earth shattering. John our waiter was great ! Great place tucked away in a strip shopping center, very unassuming decor but the moderate trappings hide some top notch edibles.  The four of us racked up quite a bill, so not priced for 'every day' eating, but the quality of the food makes up for it, not to mention the quality of the service.  We mixed it up with the Carpetbagger (filet and fried oysters) to Lamb chops (fantastic) to crab cakes to shrimp and grits.  All were happy with their meal and sides (we have some mac-n-cheese fans at the table of course!).  Bread before dinner was a nice touch and the she-crab soup was divine.  Desserts were the kicker as we split 3 of them:  the bread pudding, bailey's choc cake and the berry cobbler (everyone raved on that one!).  With everything said, they earned the stars and our continued patronage. Came here for a birthday and it was not short of satisfactory. I'll highlight the food first. Everything is seasonal and fresh. 1) the short ribs with blue cheese are as good as it gets - I could have licked the plate clean2) lamb shank dish was exceptional as well and those that ordered it finished every last taste to the dish3) salmon was light, fresh and the presentation was beautiful.The server was just so delightful that we asked if he wanted to hang/eat with us.10+ for glenwood grill if I could! Went here to celebrate my being sworn in to the bar. From the outside it doesn't look like much but inside the ambience was so much better. My mom and I ordered the scallops, crabcakes, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese. Absolutely delicious! Super buttery and rich but worth all of the calories and fat. This place is absolutely amazing. My wife and celebrated our anniversary here. The food is great. Our waiter,Allen, was so helpful. He even took picture of us with our dessert.
