We ordered three small cakes from Ginger's Cupcakes & Desserts Aurora for our wedding in August 2019. It was such a pleasure to work with Amanda. I really appreciated all the prompt emails, especially since we decided to order the cakes only 1 month before our wedding. We picked up the tasting cupcakes from the Richmond Hill location, but the final cake order was made through the Aurora location. Our wedding cake was an 8-inch 4-layer chocolate cake with raspberry swiss meringue buttercream. I forgot to specifically request white buttercream on the exterior, but Amanda read my mind. We brought them flowers from our florist and she arranged it beautifully on the cake. Plus, they returned the excess flowers with the cake delivery, and we got to use it as additional decor for our cake table. I only had a chance to taste our wedding cake during the cake cutting. It was delicious and moist. The flavour was consistent with our cupcake tasting from the Richmond Hill location. The Swiss Meringue buttercream was not exceesively sweet. When I went back to try to get another piece, all three cakes were gone!Delivery of the cakes to our venue (The Manor) was on time, and there were no issues as far as I'm aware. Ordered a banana chocolate chip elephant cake and elephant short bread cookies for my sisters baby shower. The shower was this past Sunday. I received so many compliments throughout the shower, and two days later it’s still being complemented. Amanda (the owner) was so patient and kind in working out the details and designs. She always had a smile. The other staff that I would deal with were very pleasant as well. If you’re looking for the best bakery in Richmond hill, look no further. Anna the owner truly knows how to outdo herself every time both in terms of service and in terms of quality of goodies that you’re ordering. The shop is intimate and the staff are very friendly and helpful! Try the squares, the cookies, the cupcakes and the cakes... basically you cannot go wrong with the deliciousness that is Ginger’s. A couple of weeks ago I decided to surprise my lady friend by ordering a cake for her birthday. After searching the Richmond Hill area I found "Ginger's Cupcakes & Desserts" and after reading the reviews I decided to contact them. Amanda was wonderful! I explained that I wanted just a basic Vanilla flavored cake with Vanilla Icing and topped with "Milk Chocolate & White Chocolate Chips". Amanda assured me it wouldn't be a problem. A week or so passed and I decided to place the order. Montana was the young lady who took my order and even recommended a small "Happy Birthday" banner be placed atop the cake. Payment information was given over the phone and it was a done deal. Today is my friend's Birthday. She just informed me that a delivery was made and she was so surprised and happy. She said that "Ginger's" is her favorite for baked treats like Cupcakes & Brownies. I can't thank Ginger's Cupcakes & Desserts enough for baking such a beautiful cake and helping make my friend's Birthday all the more special. I do however have only one regret. I was very happy in finding this place. My wife and I were looking for our wedding cake and many of the places didn’t satisfy our needs for the design or were outside our price range. They were able to design the cake using our design and complete it within a week, it was very last minute for us. The trial cupcakes that we received were included in the wedding cake price. We got six cupcakes basically for free and they were good sized cupcakes, not the mini cupcakes. I highly recommend this place to everyone. More...

Amazing attention to detail and DEEELICIOUS! I’ve ordered everything from cupcakes for giving out at my kids school, to custom birthday cakes and their out-of-this-world Christmas cookie boxes for years. Ginger bread cookie sandwiches are a family favourite. We’ve moved away and I miss having this great shop with the kindest owners in the neighborhood.
