My husband's family have used Doves for many years so after my Mum passed away it was an obvious choice. Everyone I came into contact with from the very start had a calm but open way about them. Nothing was too much trouble and at every stage everything was explained clearly but with sensitivity. The day before the funeral the person leading the proceedings called me to introduce themselves, go through what would happen and talked through all my questions. A passing of anyone is a difficult time. We made the call to Doves and a lot of stress was taken away surrounding arrangements for my partner, which I would never been able to have coped with. Mel, Julie and Josh, I cannot thank enough for their help and support. Mel and josh were the first people we saw from Doves and were absolutely fantastic and treated us and my partner Paula which such dignity and respect, and I knew Mel was there at the end of the phone if I needed anything.On the day of the funeral again Mel, Josh and their colleagues were so good , it made the hardest day of my life a little easier to get through. At a sad and diffficult time it made a big difference to have an efficient and caring service at all points of delivery. If I could give Gillman Funeral Services more than 5 stars, they would get it. My nan passed away and the staff were absolutely amazing with us. They were patient and kind and extremely caring. (Great huggers too.) We live in the US and when we arrived we were tired and anxious and they put our fears and concerns to rest. We recently used Doves to arrange my Mum's funeral and couldn't speak more highly of them. Our point of contact was Hannah, who was amazing. She talked through everything with us with care and compassion and was always contactable with any questions we had. Nothing was too much trouble. She made a very hard time that bit easier for us all and we are so grateful for that. On the day of the funeral everyone from Doves was so respectful and helpful. Doves funeral Directors Maidstone, were extremely helpful at what was a very difficult time for me. They were always polite, and very efficient. I really can't think of enough nice things to say about them. The lady I dealt with was a lovely lady called Hannah, nothing was too much trouble for her, and she took her time to explain everything to me, and to tell me what my options were. From the moment of walking through the doors at Doves Orpington Liz and John made the whole experience of arranging my Dad's funeral that much easier. Any request was no problem and everything was dealt with in a professional manner. From the moment my sister spoke to Anisa at Doves she knew that she was the person to assist us with the arrangements for our brother. I am pleased to say that I had exactly the same feeling when I first attended their premises in Staplehurst to ask some practical questions without the rest of the family present. Every single interaction was handled with the utmost care, consideration, and professionalism. We needed to feel like we had some control in the situation and were dealing with someone who understood some of the requests we made and did everything possible to accommodate our requests, including a live butterfly release which was a really special moment for all the guests. Anisa and Ted were a rock for us during a difficult time and words cannot do our gratitude justice to them. They helped us to provide a very personal send off for our brother that most of the attendees said was a beautiful celebration of our brothers' life, a day that would not have been possible without the professionalism, dedication and loving care provided by Anisa, ted and all staff from Doves. My sister and i lost our mother 9 years ago my father dealt with earls then and expressed the wish for us to return when the time came. Sadly we lost him on the 19th of june and earls were our chosen funeral directors. We were met by matthew who made the whole process personal and there was no question left unanswered. This goes for all staff members at earls in willesborough ashford kent. For my sister and i they care for my father and for us their professionalism is outstanding and we were looked after like they knew us and our father personally. There was no request that they couldnt fulfill. At a time of deep grief it was nice to know that there was a friendly warm person to tend to our every need. From collecting our father to our last goodbye at the funeral to collecting our dad after cremation.
