Last Saturday was the wedding of one of my best friends, and what a wonderful venue they chose for the event in Gildredge Manor. The staff were all very helpful, polite, friendly and always had a smile. With beautiful grounds, everything so well kept and lovely big rooms across both floors, this really makes a stunning wedding venue. I'm not sure whether it was the venue or a different caterer, but the food was all very good and well presented too.The evening was very well organised, and we certainly enjoyed having a pool table to enjoy a few games on as well! Gildredge Manor is the most wonderful venue run by some of the most beautiful, kind-hearted people we've ever had the fortune to meet. I am so very glad that we chose the Manor as our wedding venue because it was all we ever could have wished for and more. The team that run it are second to none and an absolute credit to the Manor. We had the most wonderful evening last night at our charity ball. I would highly recommend Gildredge Manor as a venue. We had our wedding reception here in March and it is simply stunning. We didn't have to worry about the weather because the inside of the manor is just gorgeous and everything you could ever want! So many of our guests couldn't believe how beautiful it was, truly Eastbourne'ss greatest hidden gem as I like to call it! 10/10! We cannot recommend this venue enough. It is a beautiful house set within amazing gardens. The various rooms meant our guests had somewhere to sit and chat if they didn't want to join in with the disco. It also gave us some fabulous photo opportunities, which our photographer took full advantage of. We had an amazing wedding here and everything went so smoothly thanks to John and the team at Gildredge Manor. We received such a personal service from John, who answered all our questions quickly and honestly. We were able to view the venue multiple times in the build up to the big day, which really helped with planning, especially as we had guests with limited mobility to consider. John completely understood what we wanted our wedding to be and could not have done more to make it a reality. More...

Lovingly and carefully brought back to its former glory - in fact, possibly even better! Mark & Emma have created a unique venue in this beautiful, historic Eastbourne building which oozes history from every restored floorboard, plaster moulding and stair rail. But, more than the fabric of the building, the decor and furniture create an ambience of relaxed luxury with a wide range of settings lending themselves to all kinds of purposes. The long gallery on the first floor gathers light from dawn to dusk while the dark panelled library on the ground floor yells ‘Victorian Gentlemen’s Club’ with its high-back leather chairs and soft sofas. The garden room is perfect for both a wedding ceremony or an evening party from where you can spill out in to the semi-formal gardens with a long G&T or Pimms. My husband and I got married on the 28 December at Gildredge Manor. My wedding day was hands down the best day of my life and that was largely due to how beautiful and perfect the venue was. John, general manager, was so amazing on the day and made us all feel so relaxed the day before and also on the day. He is such a credit to the Gildredge team! The caterers, Food Glorious Food, were incredible on the day but also leading up our wedding day. The food was honestly the best food I have ever had! Our initial meeting with Emma and Mark, when we first decided on the venue also made us feel relaxed and excited knowing we were in such good hands. We had also so much fun in the evening with the entertainment provided by Elite DIscos, who were very professional and played excellent music all night! Every single guest commented on how perfect Gildredge Manor was, most even saying that it was the best venue they had ever been for a wedding. I highly recommend Gildredge Manor. It was perfect. We got married at Gildredge Manor a few weeks ago. We had the best day, thanks goes to the Gildredge team - they were great. Beautiful setting. Lovely staff. Came here for a wedding last weekend. Slightly strange food. Had the soup to start with and it came with an onion Bhaji which I thought was weird. Was a bit spread out but if you were to hire such a large space that's to be expected. The only thing I can think of which isn't good is that there is no parking at the venue. Ok for the weekend as you can park on single yellow lines but imagine can be a bit of a mare if you are using during the week. Loved the little maze which the kids can play in More...

This old manor house is in the middle of town, but bordered by parkland; on the lawns you would think you were on a country estate, not 5 minutes from the town center. The staff here are friendly and the there's a selection of rooms ranging from "quirky modern" to "Victorian wood panelling and chesterfield sofa".Parking is an issue: Leave the car and take a cab, you're close enough to the town centre that it's not a problem even at 2am. Approaching our 1st Anniversary and our memories of our day at Gildredge Manor are still very much alive! Mark and Emma We cannot thank you enough for our amazing day. It was exactly how we had envisaged feeling. Our family and friends were superbly looked after by your "wedding ninjas" How on earth did they manage to have our every need attended to without us even asking? A fantastic team who all did you very proud. Who knew John was so good with a hula hoop? Jemma was outstanding as were the Food Glorious Food staff and your bar staff efficient and friendly. Your doorman was polite and made sure the DJ was looked after. The recommendations you gave us, Elite disco's and Sovereign Cakes did not disappoint. Reggie our dog had a great time during the afternoon so many thanks for allowing him to come. We felt overwhelmed with the love, kindness and emotion of the day and you certainly gave us lasting memories of a wedding day exactly as we had planned.
