What information do you need from a client before you start work?
The more information we have about your business, the more bespoke we can send you ideas for items that might help you promote your business. If you have a budget in mind and a vague quantity required even better but all we need initially is contact details and maybe a website address so we can take a little look at who you are so we can quote you or send ideas accordingly.
If you decide to order from us we will need your company artwork, an official order and we may need to charge for the first order on a Pro-forma basis.
What sorts of printing projects do you usually cater for?
We work with hundreds of manufacturers of items that can be printed, we do a lot of corporate clothing from T-shirts to hats but we also supply anything from printed pens and mugs to more technical items like memory sticks and bluetooth speakers.
What do you love most about your job?
I have been in this industry for over 20 years, I started work selling printed Golf Umbrellas, I love this industry, I know everyone so well, we are like a great big team. Now that I am working with end users it's really fun trying to find the right item for my clients and I love when I find something really quirky that my customer will love. We attend trade shows often so it's great trying to find new and innovative items that I can show my existing clients.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Starting my own business was a natural progression, I have worked with manufacturers for all sorts of different print methods, umbrellas, watches, clothing, tech items. I then went on to work for a large corporate promotional business gift company before setting up my own company with 2 friends. Unfortunately, due to family commitments I sold my shares in my original company which is still thriving today and concentrated on my family. Last year I decided to start again with another good friend and it's the best thing I've done in a while. We are a small business but I think that is better as our overheads are lower and our attention to detail is better. We would rather have clients that we can look after well rather than constantly having to hit high targets.
